Rod Stewart Cancels His Concert Due to Health Concerns
Singer Rod Stewart canceled his Las Vegas concert last minute with a social media update regarding his health condition. The 80-year-old Grammy-winning singer noted that his show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace will be rescheduled for a later date.
Rod Stewart has a health update for fans who were looking forward to his Las Vegas concert on June 1. The 'Rhythm of My Heart' hitmaker shared that the concert will be taking place on June 10.
Stewart took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news with his followers. The singer disclosed, 'I am so sorry to inform you that I'm not feeling well.' After sharing the new schedule of his concert, the artist added that the fan tickets will be valid for the new date.
The 'All for Love' crooner did not share any details about his health concerns. Previously, he was reportedly on a 'vocal rest' after his concert at Milan's Unipol Forum. The veteran rock artist was reportedly wearing a sign on his neck that read, 'Sorry. Cannot talk. Having vocal rest' (via The Independent).
Stewart had also shared his concert plans with fans last year. The 'Vagabond Heart' hitmaker had spoken about his wish to hold more intimate shows rather than large venues.
In an Instagram post, Stewart shared, 'This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire. I love what I do, and I do what I love. I'm fit, have a full head of hair, and can run 100 metres in 18 seconds at the jolly old age of 79.'
He added, 'I'd like to move onto a Great American Songbook, Swing Fever tour the year after next – smaller venues and more intimacy.'
Meanwhile, fans have been flooding social media with wishes for his speedy recovery. One user posted on X, 'Hope you feel better soon. I traveled from the UK especially to see the show tonight. Gutted is an understatement.'
Another wrote, 'Your true fans understand; we all hope you feel better fast. Your health is more important than a concert, which, by the way, you're absolutely amazing.'

Huey Lewis says he ‘can't hear music' after severe hearing loss
Huey Lewis has revealed that he can no longer hear music due to severe hearing loss. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, 74, was diagnosed with Ménière's disease in 2018. The inner ear disorder can cause severe dizziness, tinnitus and hearing loss. Speaking to People, Lewis said he had surgery to help deal with the condition. "I'm no spring chicken, so something's going to happen at some point and this is my cross to bear,' said Lewis. 'I have a cochlear implant in my head that now enables me to hear speech much better. I lost bilaterally, my hearing ... the intense vertigo — knock on wood — I have kind of outgrown. I'm mildly dizzy all the time, and my hearing just went to zero. 'And now I have a cochlear implant, so I'm much better that way, but I can't hear music.' Lewis lamented the loss of music in his life, saying: 'The worst part is that means it's bad enough not to be able to perform and sing and play, but it's really bad not to even be able to enjoy music.' He described performing and recording as 'the best feeling in the world' but added: 'I'm never going to get there. I mean, I might get to where I can try to, and I'm not going to give up. I'm going to try. But geez, that kind of fun, that kind of great ride. I doubt I'm ever going to see that ... feel that again.' After digging and dancing to 'Johnny B. Goode', the students at the dance fall into an awkward silence as McFly's riffs turn increasingly wild. 'I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet,' McFly says. 'But your kids are gonna love it.'

AGA denies leaving Universal Music to avoid Joyce Cheng

The singer, who spoke to the media after winning Outstanding Pop Singer Award at the 46th Top Ten Chinese Golden Songs Awards recently, said that she will not renew her contract with the label after it expires this month, ending their 12-year partnership.
