Martyred BSF jawan's son carries legacy
Hazaribag: The legacy of Jagdish Kachchap, a BSF jawan, lives on in the heart of Hurudag village, nestled amid the lush greenery and the hum of daily life, not just in the stories shared by the villagers but in the very spirit that drives his son, Deepak (24) to guard the country in the same force his father served. The tale of the Kachchap family is one of sacrifice, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to serving the nation. Notably, Jagdish died in an IED blast on the Shikargarh-Laryar road in Kashmir on January 27, 2006. Deepak, now stationed in Tripura, carries the weight of his father's legacy. As a child, his memories of his father were faint, mere glimpses of a man in uniform, a hero whose life was cut short in the line of duty. Yet, those hazy recollections were enough to ignite a fire within him, a desire to follow in his father's footsteps and serve the country with the same valour and dedication. For Deepak, wearing the uniform is not just a job, but it is a fulfilment of a dream, a continuation of a mission that his father began.
