Kristen Doute gives birth
Kristen Doute has given birth to a baby girl.
The Valley star and her fiance Luke Brodrick welcomed daughter Kaia Lily into the world on 11 June and Kristen couldn't be happier, despite the lack of sleep she's already experienced.
She told Us Weekly magazine: 'She's here, and we still can't believe it. Luke is even hotter as a dad, and I just feel so lucky.
'And even though I haven't slept or showered in two days, seeing our daughter and finally being able to hold her makes it all worth it. We're completely overwhelmed with love and so grateful for her—our lives are already changed completely.'
The couple chose Kaia's name, which is Hawaiian for "the sea", because of their love of the state where they got engaged.
Kristen explained: 'We knew we wanted our baby name to have something to do, or revolve around, water.
'Lillies are my favourite flower. They're associated with new beginnings, beauty, and also the name Lily indicates a 'gentle and compassionate nature, suggesting a kind and caring personality.''
Kristen admitted in April she and Luke had already chosen a name for their baby.
She told Extra: "She is named."
But Luke added: "We're not telling you."
Kristen suffered a miscarriage in 2023, and she appreciated the support she subsequently received from her fans.
She previously said: "It's been a really wonderful community of women out there who I know have really appreciated me coming out and saying that, as much as I felt really secure in coming out and talking about it because of those women.
"This is what I love about being on a reality show, a docuseries, what I love about the good things about social media, is that you are able to find these people that help rally around you, so it makes it a lot easier when you have people to talk to.
"And obviously, like, surprise! We did conceive, it worked, so that's also really exciting."
Kristen announced her pregnancy in November, revealing that they started trying for a baby at the start of 2024 and had sought the advice of a fertility specialist.
She told People magazine: "In late summer, we decided to meet with a fertility specialist to learn about our options and what could be the next step if we decided to go that route. The next month was a whirlwind - getting educated on fertility, and eventually hormone shots and preparing my body for IUI (intrauterine insemination)."

Kevin Costner won't retire
Kevin Costner won't retire. The 70-year-old actor insisted giving up work isn't something he will even think about doing because he is always curious to find something else to do. He told People magazine: "I don't even think about retiring, because I'll just move to the next thing that captures my imagination. "Imagination is what determines what I do, not a boss. I think we're all different and we have different things happening for us. "I've felt really lucky in my life. I'd like to think that I worked for all of it, but not everybody can live by the same blueprint." But the former Yellowstone star doesn't have a "bucket list" for what he wants to do in his career, but simply looks for projects that will "satisfy" him and give pleasure to other people. He said: "I don't have those things. I have that list, [but] I don't refer to it that way. But certainly my eyes and my enthusiasms are wide open and very big. "I've so enjoyed life and imagining what I can do, what can I be about and what makes a difference. Not only to me, but to other people. What just satisfies me? "I go through that whole idea, and you realise it's about time. It's a rush to get to all of them." The Bodyguard actor recently explained he is attracted to scripts that steer away from obvious "notions of heroism" often seen in movies. Speaking on The Will Cain Show he said: "The notion of heroism when no-one's looking. I think when you're a child or young man or young woman and you see that, you realise, you know, the heroism of a woman who works three jobs, you see her four in the morning, every morning at a bus stop. "And by the end of the evening, when she gets home so tired and makes a meal for her kids, she's gone to three different places to work in movies. We can sometimes depict that and we lay music to it, and suddenly we know who's important. "Suddenly we know who is powerful, who is a hero, a hero in her own family, that she would work that way to make life better for her children."

John Stamos admits he 'didn't want' his son to go into acting but now thinks it is his 'calling'
John Stamos was initially against the idea of his son going into acting. The 61-year-old star - who has seven-year-old son Billy with his wife Caitlin McHugh - has been in the business for decades and is best known for his starring role as Jesse Katsopolis on the ABC sitcom Full House but was hesitant on his son following in his footsteps until he realised just how much he "loved" appearing in a local production. He told UsWeekly: "I didn't want him to go into acting, but he loves it. "He did his first play at the community centre. He did Beetlejuice. The sandworm." The former General Hospital star recently took his son to the theatre - which resulted in a surprise reunion with Happy Days legend Henry Winkler - and acquiesced that a life in the spotlight is likely to be his son's "calling" after he ran up onto the stage. "We took him to see Darren Criss last night, and he sat there and did not move. " It was a great moment because Henry Winkler was there. He texted me yesterday. I didn't even know he had my phone number. I walked into the theater and I see him and I couldn't believe it, you know?' "He walked onto the stage and started spinning around and ran through the theatre. "I think that's going to be his calling." John - who was initially married to Rebecca Romijn from 1998 until 2005 - was recently asked what he enjoys about watching his son grow up admitted that he just "loves" getting to see how the little one interprets the world around him. He told E! News: "His sense of wonder! I love to watch him see things for the first time, I love to see his point of view on things. He's my life. I don't know where I would be without having a kid."
