Boots 'weightless' new No7 foundation gives an 'airbrushed finish' for under £20
Ask any beauty fan what is the best high street owned brand and many will say Boots' No7. Offering popular lines that often sell out and cause massive queues, there's no denying its popularity.
So, when the health and beauty chain decides to update its luxury range with a brand new foundation that is said to give an "airbrushed finish", we, alongside many others, pay attention.
For those who don't like that cakey, heavy feeling on their face, this Pro Artist Weightless Silk Sheer Foundation is ideal for a lightweight coverage that is said to remain in place all day long.
Costing £19.95 for a 30ml bottle, it has been designed to "glide seamlessly" onto the skin, offering a radiant, fresh appearance for 12 different skin tones, although it's worth noting that some are already sold out online.
With added vitamin C, it helps to brighten the skin, while vitamin E supports the skin's natural moisture barrier, and hyaluronic acid helps to lock in moisture for a hydrating effect.

A similar product beauty buffs often heap praise on is the Bobbi Brown Weightless Skin Foundation SPF15 that also offers a full-day of coverage. Available in multiple shades, it currently costs £43 on lookfantastic.
Meanwhile, one of the most iconic long-staying foundations on the market is the Estée Lauder Double Wear with SPF10. Also available in a shade for every skin type, it can be bought for 25 percent less at Debenhams where it has been cut from £39.50 to £29.63.
That's not to say Boots' new No7 Pro Artist Foundation is to be sniffed at, as, even though it is a recent addition, it has amassed glowing reviews from shoppers who say it is "flawless" and their "new staple."
A positive review read: "I am not a regular foundation user as have generally been disappointed with some very high end purchases. This is a game changer! Very lightweight and silky, almost imperceptible on the skin yet leaves a flawless, air brushed finish.

"So smooth and easy to apply (I applied over No.7's highly rated facial sunscreen). Good range of shades (I chose a fair shade "creme" which was a good match)."
A second glowing review read: "Love this foundation for the summer, it's lightweight and the coverage is great for hiding redness but showing freckles! And it has vitamin c/e and hyaluronic acid!"

While it hasn't garnered much negative feedback so far, one shopper did knock a star off over the packaging, writing: "Just recently purchased this foundation. Really love this product, only problem I find is the tube is very hard so you cant squeeze the foundation out."

Boots announces two beauty advent calendars for 2025 – and the waitlists are open now
Even with the rise of dedicated shops like Sephora and Lookfantastic, every beauty obsessive has trodden the hallowed halls of the beauty aisles at Boots. Despite stiff competition, it remains a key retailer, and Boots' beauty advent calendars are no exception. That's right: this year, the high-street retailer has launched not one, but two Christmas countdowns: the 24 beauty stars luxury advent calendar (£150, and the 24 days of skin advent calendar (£70, There are already more than 15 beauty advent calendars on offer, and it's only August. While Boots is keeping some of the magic of Christmas alive with just a sneak peek at these new 24-day bundles, I can spy a few clues of what's to come. I predict Korean skincare, luxury Drunk Elephant moisturisers and more. Boots usually takes a more affordable approach to beauty advent calendars and, while high-end department stores like Liberty and Selfridges charge more than £250, Boots' 2025 calendar keeps things more accessibly aspirational with options at £70 and £150. Scroll on for everything I know so far, including full worth, a first look at the contents and how to join the waitlist. Boots 24 beauty stars luxury advent calendar: £150, The beauty stars calendar is Boots' main advent offering, with a whopping £600+ worth. The retailer is keeping the full 24 days secret for now, but after peering at the press shot, I've spied some gems. Included are Drunk Elephant's protini polypeptide cream (£21, Sol de Janeiro's 76 perfume mist (£24, the Laneige lip glowy balm (£17.50, and Iconic London's get cheeky face powder palette (£35, Interestingly, skincare obsessives will get their very own advent. If you have a penchant for fresh skin and make-up-free days, then you'll find what you're looking for in Boots' 24 days of skin offering. Again, the worth of this calendar exceeds four times the amount you'll pay and, in addition to the products above, I've spotted Round Lab's birch juice sunscreen (£18.90, and Anua's PDRN hyaluronic acid capsule serum (£18, as well as some impressive Korean skincare heroes.

Boots brings nostalgic budget-friendly brand known for their mascaras back
The high street beauty chain is adding hundreds of new products to their shelves in 2025, with three viral brands now available to shop in store and online While filling a cosmetics bag can prove pretty costly, particularly with everyone scrambling to try the latest viral sensations and new launches, there certainly seems to be a growing appetite for affordable makeup once again. And Boots is cementing its status as the go-to retailer for exactly that, with the launch of not one, but three budget-friendly brands both in store and online. With the rise of social media, there was a surge in shoppers opting for more luxury products and celebrity favourites. However, with the cost of living crisis and customers getting more savvy, shopping habits have shifted, with more beauty fans looking for high-performing products that don't drain the bank. This summer, the retailer has announced the launch of three of TikTok's most talked about brands - one of which will no doubt bring nostalgic joy for many after. It comes as the high street favourite is set to see more than 400 new cosmetics lines landing in the coming months. Harrods beauty advent calendar returns after fragrance one sold out in 48 hours 'I'm trying to cut down my alcohol intake and this 99p low-calorie drink converted me' Boots isn't the only retailer leaning into the budget-friendly beauty trend, either, as this week saw the launch of Trouble Maker into Superdrug. The bold new brand promises innovation at pocket-money friendly prices, with prices starting from £2. Meanwhile, Sephora's own brand Sephora Collection offers a range of cosmetics, skincare and more from £1.99, with more than 450 product lines to choose from. The three brands that have hit shelves at Boots this week are Catrice, an affordable German brand, alongside SheGlam making its UK debut, and the much-missed Essence will be returning to the high street, delighting customers who have been begging to see it make a comeback. After the closure of Wilko stores across the UK, Essence was like gold dust, but Boots is making it easier than ever to get your hands on. Known for Lash Princess mascaras and Juicy Bomb Shiny Glosses, the brand delivers ultra-affordable prices starting from £1.29. One product expected to be a hit is their Jelly Grip Hydrating Primer, which costs £3.99. If we had to liken it to a more expensive product, we'd say its tacky formula works in a similar way to Milk's Hydro Grip Primer, which retails at £35. Catrice is another name dominating TikTok right now, racking up over 26 million views in the past week alone. The clean, cruelty-free and vegan brand has been praised for products like the Aqua Splash Grip Primer and Under Eye Brightener, which have earned loyal followings for their quality and accessible price point. The Catrice range's most expensive product is £6.99 for their Soft Glam Filter Fluid, which has been likened to Charlotte Tilbury's £39 Flawless Filter. And available on the high street for the first time ever is SheGlam - a trend-led brand loved for its Pout-Perfect Lip Plumper and Colour Bloom Liquid Blush. Their products range from £2.99 to £8.50, proving shoppers no longer need to spend a small fortune on restocking their kit. Speaking on the latest launches, Alice Rafferty, Director of Luxury Beauty and Cosmetics at Boots said: 'Boots is proud to be bringing a growing lineup of socially native, trending beauty brands to the high street. Beauty lovers want to test, trial, and play before they buy, and now they can experience some of the most buzzworthy, viral brands in person at Boots stores nationwide. By staying closely tuned into emerging trends and listening to what our customers want to see on our shelves, we're continuing to elevate our beauty offering, making the latest social media sensations more accessible than ever.' The beauty boom doesn't stop there, though, with Boots also expanding the ranges of other social media-famous brands like Tirtir, the K-beauty label behind the viral Red Cushion Foundation, and Sacheu, known for innovative multi-use products. Sacheu is expanding its range to include more product lines for eye, cheek and lip, such as its Cheek STAY-N and Brow & Freckle STAY-N, which will launch in over 90 Boots stores. Meanwhile K-Beauty brand Tirtir, famed for its game-changing Red Cushion Foundation, will be available on the UK high street for the first time, launching in 30 Boots stores nationwide. Shoppers can test and trial its range of 23 foundation shades, alongside other new, viral-worthy products like the Glide and Hide Blurring Concealer and Waterism Glow Tint. Both brands launched at Boots earlier this year under its new accelerator programme, which identifies and rapidly brings the biggest viral and emerging new brands to the high street. As a result, if you've seen it buzzing on TikTok, there's a good chance it could be coming to the high street not too long after.

FatFace shoppers bag 'unusual' sale jumper in three colours for 'in between' weather
This wardrobe staple is so popular shoppers are buying more than one. It may still be August, but autumn is not too far away now. That means it's probably time to think about a wardrobe refresh. To help shoppers get in some items for the new season at lower prices, FatFace has launched a massive sale online with prices slashed across everything including clothing, footwear and accessories. With temperatures set to dip from next week, we're about to enter the dreaded 'in between' weather, but one item that is said to be ideal for that time of year is the retailer's Isabelle Knitted Jumper. When it's not too cold, but also not warm either, this knitted layer offers a linen and cotton blend material that is both super breathable, soft and stylish all at once. Offering a simple crew neckline and long sleeves, this wardrobe staple might look basic, but its design boasts a button-down back feature that has been singled out in reviews from fashion fans calling it "unusual." Isabelle Knitted Jumper £49.50 £30 FatFace Buy here Product Description Worth £49.50, the sale has since reduced the vibrant yellow and mid pink colours of this jumper to just £30, saving £19.50 off the RRP. There is a white colourway at £25, although it has almost virtually sold out. Available in sizes six to 24, depending on the colour, the Isabelle jumper will be a multitasking addition that can be paired with jeans and trainers or with skirts and boots during autumn and winter. Shoppers keen on the unusual style can also check out the Next Friends Like These Knitted Jumper that features long flute buttoned sleeves, costing £38 in total. A simpler option, yet no less stylish, would be this Kinga Lightweight Knit Jumper from Weird Fish that offers a similar design for £27, down from £45, saving 40 percent in total. As for the FatFace jumper, it has managed to earn itself a rather impressive 4.5 rating based on multiple reviews from shoppers who love its "different" style so much they have bagged multiple colours. One delighted customer wrote: "I really like this jumper. Unusual style and not too thick. Waiting for some slightly cooler weather so I can wear it. Generous fit so I sized down." A second FatFace shopper praised: "Love the colour. Jumper is a perfect fit and is ideal for when the weather is in between hot and cold." Someone else praised: "Such a gorgeous colour for summer. Lightweight and perfect for those cooler days and summer evenings. Reading other reviews I bought a smaller size (10 rather than 12) and it fits perfectly. Fashion deal of the week We might not want to admit it, but summer will soon be coming to an end. That means getting our wardrobe ready for the autumn season, and one affordable jumper from Next is already proving to be quite a hit with fashion fans who say that it has been "beautifully made." The firm is currently offering its Blue Stripe Layered Long Sleeve Collared Gold Detailed Button Jumper with Wool and 100 percent Cotton Shirt for £1.50 in its clearance sale. Described as 'effortlessly stylish', this blue striped number boasts a chic collared shirt underlay and a cosy 'soft touch' knit. The design also includes elegant gold-tone buttons on the shoulder and a neat collar, plus it's easy to care for being machine washable. Available in an array of colours and patterns, it can be bought in regular and petite sizes through X-Small to X-Large, though certain sizes are beginning to sell out. One satisfied customer shared: "I purchased this lovely shirt and jumper combination for a video interview, and I was really pleased with how it looked. "The bright white, soft cotton collar gives it a smart appearance and the jumper is made from a beautifully soft wool." The Blue Stripe Layered Jumper with Wool and Cotton Shirt is available for purchase from Next at a price of £19.50. "Not at all tight. Loved it so much I bought the white one afterwards!" Not everyone has been keen on the quality, as one two-star review read: "Although the jumper looked nice. When tried on it was ok but sadly the quality wasn't the best. Too expensive for what it was." Although, someone else who praised the quality said: "I love this sweater - the style is different with buttons down the back and the colour is lovely. It is quite expensive but it looks good on so much so that I have also purchased the other two colours."
