Greatest Chapters Of Our Story Are Still Ahead: Gautam Adani On Robust Growth
Ahmedabad:
Even in the face of the storms and relentless scrutiny, the Adani Group has never backed down, Group Chairman Gautam Adani said on Tuesday, adding that instead, we proved that true leadership is not built in sunshine - it is constructed in the fire of crisis.
"We live in a world where negativity often echoes louder than the truth. And as we cooperate with legal processes, let me also restate that our governance is of global standards, and our compliance frameworks are non-negotiable," said the billionaire industrialist while addressing Adani Enterprises Ltd's Annual General Meeting (AGM).
In terms of consolidated numbers, at the Group level, revenues grew by 7 per cent, EBITDA by 8.2 per cent, and Net Debt-to-EBITDA ratio remained healthy at 2.6x. Total revenues were Rs 2,71,664 crore and adjusted EBITDA was Rs 89,806 crore.
"Our capital investment across businesses is set to break all records. We anticipate an annual CAPEX spend of $15-20 billion for the next five years. These are not just investments in our Group, but investments in the possibilities for doing our part to build India's infrastructure," said Gautam Adani.
He also outlined some of the programmes that excite him the most.
"Exactly three years ago, on my 60th birthday, my family pledged Rs 60,000 crore to redefine healthcare, education, and skill development in India. The Adani Healthcare Temples are our first major step -- world-class, affordable 1,000-bed campuses in Ahmedabad and Mumbai with medical colleges, research centres and wellness spaces all integrated together. Mayo Clinic is our partner in guiding us to create a future-ready, AI-powered, patient-first healthcare ecosystem," Gautam Adani stated.
In parallel, the Group have committed Rs 2,000 crore to build a world-class skill university and finishing school in Mundra, designed to empower youth from across India.
"Through Schools of Excellence, global certifications and partnerships with leaders like ITEES Singapore and IGCC, we aim to create an industry-ready workforce," said Gautam Adani.
"Let me end by talking about our participation at the Maha Kumbh Mela. Over 650 million people came together, not as strangers, but as -- One soul. One purpose. One heartbeat. Along with ISKCON, the Adani Group initiated the Mahaprasad Seva, offering free meals to lakhs of devotees. More than 5,000 of our employees volunteered, reflecting the values we cherish," he emphasised.
"At the Triveni Sangam, I had the honour of performing the sacred Ganga Aarti with my family -- and for the Adani Group to be part of this event was one of the most moving days of my life," the Adani Group Chairman added.
He concluded by saying that a nation's future is not written in policy documents -- it is written in the risks its entrepreneurs dare to take. We are not laying concrete. We are laying conviction -- highways that carry ambition, ports that ship hope, and grids that light up futures.
"And history should remember us -- not for the size of our balance sheet, but for the strength of our backbone. Not for the markets we entered, but for the storms we handled and emerged stronger. For it is easy to lead in sunshine, but true leadership is forged in the face of crisis," he highlighted.

State approves allocation of land for new high court complex in Bandra (East)
Mumbai: Removal of the state govt staff quarters in Bandra (East) along with the shifting and relocation of all reservations and internal roads has been accomplished to make way for the integrated high court building complex and residential quarters. Slum relocation began in April with the Gautam Nagar slum. On Tuesday, the state cabinet approved a proposal to allocate 30.2 acres of the 90-acre Bandra govt colony for the high court. The integrated complex is estimated to cost Rs 2,625 crore. At a high-level meeting of the steering committee of judges and senior bureaucrats, including the chief secretary and principal secretary of the urban development department, in Oct, officials decided to initiate the process of changing the reservation of 30.2 acres for the new high court complex. The state chief architect prepared a plan to reserve land for the complex without removing reservations such as playgrounds or gardens. Instead, these were shifted within the Bandra govt colony layout, and the road network was planned according to the complex's requirements and the surrounding road network. The Samata Nagar slums will be relocated next. The cabinet approved a proposal to waive the cost of 254 rehabilitation flats amounting to Rs 31.75 crore. The rehabilitation flats are located in Malad (East) and Kandivli. The high court directed that the 30.2 acres be transferred in six phases. The first two phases, comprising 9.6 acres, have already been transferred. The third phase, covering 4.1 acres, includes the Gautam Nagar and Samta Nagar slums.

BCC shifts e-Khata applications to Belagavi One centres following corruption concerns
Belagavi: In a bid to streamline the property registration process and curb irregularities, the Belagavi City Corporation (BCC) has introduced citizen-friendly reforms for e-Aasthi enrolments. Property owners can now apply for e-Khata registrations through designated Belagavi One centres in the city. Previously, applications were accepted manually at three divisional BCC offices. However, after corporators raised concerns over corruption, BCC commissioner Shubha B conducted a surprise inspection. She discovered that files submitted through middlemen were being prioritised, while genuine applications with complete documentation faced unnecessary delays. Taking immediate action, the commissioner suspended manual submission of applications and transferred the process to Belagavi One centres. "Currently, two centres are operational, one at Ashok Nagar and another at Goaves. Due to increasing workload, we have requested two additional centres at the BCC office building and Konwal Galli. We are expecting those to become operational in a week," she told the TOI. There is no need to approach agents or middlemen," she said, adding that login credentials have been issued to the centres for direct uploading of applications. Commissioner Shubha said BCC successfully cleared a backlog of 3,854 e-Khata applications, some pending for over six months, in just two days recently. However, the pace has slowed due to server issues. "The urban development department informed us that the server would be down for four days; three have already passed. We're hoping for resolution soon," she noted. To raise public awareness, BCC installed a cantilever board at Channamma Circle, listing required documents for obtaining A-Khata and B-Khata certificates. Although a helpline was launched to assist residents with e-Khata queries, it is currently facing challenges. "Most calls are unrelated to e-Khata, making it difficult to resolve actual queries," the commissioner admitted.

A flat that was never delivered: IAF officer wins legal battle against builder
1 2 Mohali: In a landmark decision that underscores the power of persistence and the importance of consumer rights, the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Mohali has ruled in favour of Nameeta Rajput, a 49-year-old Indian Air Force officer, in her long-standing dispute with real estate developer Palm Heights Pvt. Ltd. Rajput, currently posted at 3BRD Chandigarh, had booked a 3BHK flat in Palm Heights project at Derabassi back in 2015. Like many homebuyers, she dreamed of a secure future in her own home. But what followed was a near-decade-long ordeal marked by broken promises, financial strain, and legal battles. Due to rising EMI burdens, Rajput later opted for a smaller 1BHK unit. Despite assurances, she never received possession of the flat. Instead, she was bombarded with legal notices from ICICI Home Finance over unpaid EMIs — on a loan she had taken in good faith, expecting the builder to fulfill their end of the bargain. You Can Also Check: Chandigarh AQI | Weather in Chandigarh | Bank Holidays in Chandigarh | Public Holidays in Chandigarh She had paid Rs 3.5 lakh (including Rs 1 lakh allegedly in cash) and secured a Rs 13.15 lakh home loan, of which Rs 10.52 lakh was disbursed to the builder. But the builder denied receiving the full amount and even questioned the existence of a valid agreement after the switch to the smaller unit. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Perdagangkan CFD Emas dengan Broker Tepercaya IC Markets Mendaftar Undo After years of silence and inaction from the builder, Rajput sent a legal notice in April 2021. When that too was ignored, she filed a formal complaint in July 2021. The builder tried to dismiss her as an investor rather than a genuine consumer, a claim the commission firmly rejected. Following a thorough review of documents, affidavits, and site photographs, the commission found Palm Heights Pvt Ltd guilty of deficiency in service and unfair trade practices. The commission ordered the builder to refund Rs 2.5 lakh with 9% annual interest, full settlement of the outstanding home loan with ICICI Home Finance, correction of Rajput's CIBIL score and pay Rs 25,000 in compensation for mental harassment and litigation costs. The commission has given the builder 30 days to comply, failing which the interest rate will rise to 12% per annum.
