TV tonight: a hilarious and heart-tugging finale for Big Boys
Jack Rooke's semi-fictional comedy drama is a joyride of great gags, but at the heart of it have always been the heavier themes of mental health and grief. So prepare for the closing double-bill finale, as Danny (Jon Pointing) grapples with the end of university and thoughts of the future. Pointing, along with Dylan Llewellyn, who plays his best mate Jack, has been spectacular in telling this story – and it gets a fittingly poignant (but still hilarious) ending. Hollie Richardson

Planet Weird has set itself a UFC-worthy challenge this week: to show us the most gruesome and bizarre forms of wildlife combat. Fortunately, there's no shortage of that in the animal kingdom. The TV chef has been in the limelight for many years, and helped her daughter Miquita become a presenter in her youth. Speaking to The iPaper, she spoke about her then-teenage daughter finding fame co-hosting Channel 4's Noughties music show Popworld. 'I was really proud of her,' she said. 'There weren't many 15-year-olds that could step into a national environment like that and be interviewing some of the most famous pop stars in the world with no script, and just doing it brilliantly as well, and being very funny.' 'It was very stressful – to be a schoolkid and suddenly have paparazzi following you, and people talking about whether you're too fat or too thin.' She then referenced the incident involving radio DJ Chris Moyles: 'Miquita was 16 and he had a phone-in on his show of: 'Would you sh*g her?' On Radio One. I wanted to kill him. I still kind of do.' She then added: 'There aren't many people I loathe who I've never met, but I'd do time for that man.' She then speculated what might happen if she confronted him about it today: 'He'd backpedal a lot, but I don't care. It's like when people say: 'Oh, I didn't really mean to call you a n****r, I was drunk.' Yeah, well, I don't become a racist when I'm drunk. It just means you let it out. 'So I don't care if it was the Noughties, when there was that awful lad culture where it was acceptable to talk about women like that.' She added that there wasn't support in place to help her daughter at the time. 'I don't think she was properly supported by any of the channels that she worked for. She was a kid, yet the duty of care wasn't there.' In 2023, Charlotte Church appeared in Kathy Burke's Channel 4 documentary and spoke about Moyles offering to take her virginity. She claimed: '[There was] a countdown then Chris Moyles talked about it on Radio 1. It was all a bit gross really.' The conversation soon turned to the moment Lucy - then 21 - was raped by a hotel porter during production of The X Factor. Lucy was competing on the ITV series in 2012 and made it through to the live shows. But after a drunken night out with fellow competitor Rylan Clark for his 25th birthday, Lucy was raped by a hotel porter who had used a traceable key card to get back into her room while she was passed out. Sharing her ordeal with the Celebrity SAS staff, as she started by explaining what she wanted to find out about herself. She stammered: "Where I, where I...I've been broken so many times." She went on to explain how being on The X Factor was "everything I'd ever wished for". But then she moved on to the fateful night when her world changed and she said: "I was wasted, I was paralytic." "The hotel porter said 'Oh I'll give her a hand' and I was paralytic. I passed out on the bed, so I can only tell you this stuff because of the information that I have been told. "When that hotel porter came up to my room to do what not-nice people do to vulnerable women." Recalling how she felt at that point, a tearful Lucy said: "It was tough, hard." It felt like everything was snatched away from me in a really brutal way. She then told the staff: "It was seven years of, like, trying to destroy myself. The amount of times I was blackout drunk, again, after that. "I know that that's what that was, I was just trying to shut everything out, but it felt like everything was snatched away from me in a really brutal way. "And I was like 'I haven't done anything wrong'. And so, I was angry about that, I was angry that other people had music careers that were better than mine.
