Ahd Foundation provides financial support to Fak Kurba initiative

MUSCAT: Ahd Foundation has provided financial support to the 'Fak Kurba' humanitarian initiative, now distributing aid through its 20th edition in 2025.
'Fak Kurba' initiative, sponsored by the Omani Lawyers Association, contributes to the release of insolvent people in all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
The initiative's support, which absolves some insolvents held on civil, commercial, legal, or labour cases, seeks to enhance the values of solidarity and cooperation among members of society. It activates partnership and augments the standards of social responsibility among institutions.
'Fak Kurba' initiative has been lending support to the needy since 2012. It contributed to the release of more than 7,110 insolvents so far.
Donations can be made to 'Fak Kurba' electronically through the initiative's website 'www.fakkrba.om' and through the initiative's bank account, in addition to donating through the Thawani application.
Most of the people acquitted of minor and unintentional financial offenses were those facing legal proceedings or detained for financial offenses.
Payments ranging from a minimum of RO 100 to a maximum of RO 2,000 were made for the release of each individual, with the amount varying from person to person and from case to case. - ONA
