Is anyone besides Alex Palou or Kyle Kirkwood allowed to win a race? If so, who?
Fortunately ... or unfortunately ... depending your fandom, this feels like an 'Alex Palou rebound' weekend. In four years racing at Road America for Chip Ganassi Racing, he has two wins and took 4th last year. I don't expect him to settle for a bunch of top-5 finishes the rest of the way. Palou's going to win again, and coming off finishes of 25th and 8th since his Indy 500 victory, this feels like the weekend.
Team Penske swept the podium last year at Road America but had a horrible time in St. Louis last weekend? How will it fare this weekend?
The team will again fall short of its first win of the year, but we'll see a return to the podium for just the fourth time this season, delivered by Will Power, who won last year's race.

Tennessee Tech makes historic move to Southern Conference, leaving Ohio Valley after 77 years
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee Tech announced Wednesday that the school is switching to the Southern Conference on July 1, 2026, and leaving the Ohio Valley Conference, where the Golden Eagles had been members since 1949. 'This historic move changes the trajectory of our athletic aspirations and makes a statement to our campus and our community that Tech sports will be a part of a vibrant conference with new geographic rivalries,' athletic director Casey Fox said in a statement. That will make the Southern Conference an 11-team league when Tennessee Tech joins East Tennessee State, Chattanooga, The Citadel, Furman, Mercer, North Carolina-Greensboro, Samford, Virginia Military Institute, Western Carolina and Wofford. Tennessee Tech will have 14 of its 15 sports competing in the Southern Conference. Beach volleyball is not a conference sport. The Golden Eagles are the preseason pick to win the Ohio Valley Conference-Big South title after going 7-5 overall and 6-2 in conference play last season. Tennessee Tech is ranked No. 22 in the Football Championship Series' Top 25. "Tech proves that winning and academic achievement go hand-in-hand — the Southern Conference standard,' Southern Conference Commissioner Michael Cross said. ___ Get poll alerts and updates on the AP Top 25 throughout the season. Ironman Motocross betting, predictions, odds, picks, lines: Jett Lawrence tumbles after two losses
For Round 10 of the Pro Motocross series at Unadilla MX Park in New Berlin, New York, Jett Lawrence hit an unprecedented level in his raw, opening betting odds on the heels of back-to-back losses. That bit of good news is offset by the fact that he continues to show minus odds of -179 midway through the week. Lawrence was as unattractive as -824 heading into the Washougal National, a race he lost to Chase Sexton. Last week's overall loss was attributed to a penalty in Moto 1, where Jett jumped the start and fouled the gate. While the mistake was self-inflicted, it is also unlikely to occur again, and Jett should be judged on his riding. He entered Turn 1 last week outside the top 20 and rode up to third at the checkers. If not for the penalty, his 3-1 would have narrowly edged Hunter Lawrence's 2-2 for the overall win. Instead, he was credited with 17th in Moto 1 and finished sixth overall. Certainly, few, if any, bettors risked a bet of -2757 for Jett to stand on the podium. If so, they lost up to a season's worth of advances. The traders at Alt Sports Data, the official linemaker for the SuperMotocross World Championship, are not going to allow any bargains when it comes to a podium; Jett is posted at -2422 to finish third or better. Hunter became the third winner of 2025 with his pair of runner-up finishes at Ironman. It was a victory long in the making after Hunter scored 10 second-place overall finishes heading into that race. His raw opening odds were +435, which was the third-ranked line of the weekend. With the retirement of Sexton for the final two rounds of 2025, there is a shakeup at the top. RJ Hampshire (+537) earned his first career podium last week and finished second. The traders believe he is capable of backing that up and ranked him third. As a result, Hampshire leapfrogged Eli Tomac (+589), who was pushed down to fourth. Tomac did not make much noise last week, but he was battling an illness that began on Friday and intensified on race day. Had he been 100 percent, Tomac would have been a much stronger competitor for the win. The field still has a lot of ground to cover if they want to challenge Jett weekly, but they know it is possible to beat him. They need to stay close enough to the front of the pack in Moto 1 to contend. Justin Cooper (+1057) is the fifth-ranked rider this week with odds just outside 10/1. He has been consistent in 2025, but with only two podiums, at Hangtown and Redbud, he is too risky for a large bet. He narrowly missed the podium last week with a fourth overall, but that would have been amended to fifth without Jett's penalty. Ken Roczen (+1787) returns to action this week, and the traders are showing a lot of respect at nearly 18/1. His opening odds for a podium were +486, and while Sexton's departure makes that a little easier to achieve, there is too much risk for conservative bettors. Will injured Browns QB Shedeur Sanders play against the Eagles?
The Shedeur Sanders show might not come to Lincoln Financial Field, after all. Sanders, the much-discussed Cleveland Browns' rookie quarterback, is 'unlikely' to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Ian Rapoport. Sanders suffered an oblique strain on Wednesday during warmups ahead of the first of two joint practices with the Eagles at the NovaCare Complex. He will not practice Thursday. Sanders is the latest injured Browns quarterback. Kenny Pickett, who the Eagles traded this offseason, is dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him out of team drills on Wednesday. Dillon Gabriel, the third-round rookie out of Oregon, is also dealing with a hamstring issue. Joe Flacco, the 40-year-old veteran, is healthy. So is Tyler Huntley, who the Browns signed last week to account for the injuries to Pickett and Gabriel. Sanders was expected to be a must-watch in Saturday's preseason game. The former Colorado star and son of Deion Sanders experienced an NFL draft freefall in April. Some considered Sanders to be a first-round prospect; he was selected No. 144 overall in the fifth round. Sanders looked good, though, in his first preseason action. The 2024 All-American completed 14 of 23 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers. We'll see if Sanders — or Pickett and Gabriel, for that matter — suits up on Saturday.
