Is anyone besides Alex Palou or Kyle Kirkwood allowed to win a race? If so, who?
Fortunately ... or unfortunately ... depending your fandom, this feels like an 'Alex Palou rebound' weekend. In four years racing at Road America for Chip Ganassi Racing, he has two wins and took 4th last year. I don't expect him to settle for a bunch of top-5 finishes the rest of the way. Palou's going to win again, and coming off finishes of 25th and 8th since his Indy 500 victory, this feels like the weekend.
Team Penske swept the podium last year at Road America but had a horrible time in St. Louis last weekend? How will it fare this weekend?
The team will again fall short of its first win of the year, but we'll see a return to the podium for just the fourth time this season, delivered by Will Power, who won last year's race.

WNBA Reacts to Hailey Van Lith's Play in Chicago Sky Game on Sunday

WNBA Reacts to Hailey Van Lith's Play in Chicago Sky Game on Sunday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Chicago Sky have been looking to find some sort of rhythm in the first quarter of the WNBA season, having struggled as of late. Advertisement Chicago has lost five of its past six games, heading into its most recent matchup riding a two-game losing streak. On Sunday, the Sky played the Atlanta Dream, looking to climb out of a recent rut. Chicago entered the game as the No. 11 team in the WNBA standings with a 3-9 record, while the Dream were ranked as the No. 4 team with a 9-4 record. During the matchup, as the Sky looked to complete the upset victory, the WNBA highlighted a play from guard Hailey Van Lith. The Sky rookie found her way to two points with a rip through on the defender and a couple of punch dribbles before rising up for an unbalanced fadeaway. Advertisement "Hailey Van Lith makes the off balance shot look EASY," posted the official social media account of the WNBA. "ATL-CHI | Live on League Pass." After the WNBA expressed their "EASY" take on Hailey Van Lith's play against the Atlanta Dream, the Sky entered the locker room at halftime with a 46-45 deficit. A win for Chicago would mean the momentum is back on the side of first-year head coach Tyler Marsh and his staff, who have struggled to find consistency in a lineup full of talented players, including Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese. Chicago Sky rookie Hailey Van Krzaczynski-Imagn Images In her first season with the Chicago Sky, Hailey Van Lith has posted 5.1 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game entering Sunday's contest. Advertisement She was drafted by Chicago with the No. 11 overall pick in the most recent draft and has slowly been making a greater impact on the lineup as the season has progressed. The Action Network: Great American Getaway 400 odds, picks, predictions

The NASCAR Cup Series is at the 'Tricky Triangle' this week for The Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway (2:00 p.m. ET, Prime Video). Pocono is a 2.5-mile, triangle-shaped track with three different radius corners, each with varying degrees of (relatively flat) banking, and three different straightaway lengths. In geometry class, we called that a scalene triangle, and with three differently priced manufacturers for this race, I'll be scaling that scalene definition to the betting world. Advertisement When we examine track history and practice times, one manufacturer stands out with a few undervalued drivers, so I'll take the lot of them for the win. Let's dive in and check out our Great American Getaway 400 odds, picks and predictions for Pocono. NASCAR at Pocono Best Bet As I do every race, I take a close look at my practice FLAGS metric to identify which drivers stand out and if there are any trends in the FLAGS data. As it turns out, there was a pretty clear trend right off the bat. Each of the top-four drivers in my group-adjusted FLAGS was piloting a Ford, with Ryan Blaney leading Chris Buescher, Austin Cindric, and Brad Keselowski until we reached the first non-Ford, William Byron. Advertisement The Blue Ovals also boast a relatively strong recent track history, with Blaney winning this race a year ago and setting the most fastest laps, while Buescher and Keselowski racked up the second- and fifth-most fastest laps. Ford as a whole took home 71 of the 117 (60.7%) fastest laps, including four of the top five drivers, with Josh Berry grabbing 13 fastest laps. In addition, Cindric claimed four fastest laps, so it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that he ended up in the top four in FLAGS. Berry is also undervalued in my model, because there's no way to account for a car not completing any representative at-speed laps, with Berry having a diffuser issue costing him pace in practice and forcing him to miss qualifying. Even with Berry undervalued in my model, it still shows Ford having a 32.6% chance of winning this race, which translates to implied odds of +207. Advertisement If we bump Berry up a bit, this wager likely shows value at close to 2-to-1. However, as always, I like to leave some wiggle room for model error, so I'm comfortable with this down to around +220. FanDuel is offering this at +260, which is a healthy deviation from my model's number. Ford looked fantastic on the long run, so if you're tailing me on this, we're probably rooting for a healthy green flag run to end this race, rather than some late-race restarts where Chevy showed plenty of speed on the short run. The Bet: Ford Winning Manufacturer (+260, FanDuel | Bet to +220)

Dubón hits 2 homers and Hader retires Trout to save Astros' 8-7 win over Angels

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Mauricio Dubón homered twice and Josh Hader stayed perfect in 19 save chances this season by getting Mike Trout to line out to center field with a runner on second as the Houston Astros held off the Los Angeles Angels 8-7 in the rubber game of their series Sunday. Dubón's second career multihomer game began with a leadoff shot against starter Kyle Hendricks in the fifth inning for the Astros' first run. Dubón added a two-run drive off Hunter Strickland for a 6-5 lead in the sixth. Jeremy Peña had an RBI double and Jake Meyers added a sacrifice fly to make it 8-5. Nolan Schanuel hit an RBI single for the Angels in the seventh, and Zach Neto trimmed it to 8-7 with a solo homer off Hader in the ninth. Schanuel finished with three hits and four RBIs. Peña hit his 11th home run one out after Dubón's shot in the fifth to tie it 2-all. Meyers singled, stole second and scored on a two-out error by Luis Rengifo at third base. Christian Walker followed with an RBI double for a 4-2 lead. Taylor Ward had a two-out double off Astros rookie Ryan Gusto, and Logan O'Hoppe hit his third two-run homer in two days to give the Angels a 2-0 lead in the second. O'Hoppe has 17 home runs and is closing in on the team record for a catcher set by Lance Parrish with 22 in 1990. LaMonte Wade Jr. and Christian Moore singled in the bottom half, and Schanuel gave the Angels a 5-4 lead with his sixth homer. Gusto (5-3) allowed five runs and six hits in six innings with seven strikeouts. Hendricks permitted five runs — three earned — in five innings. Strickland (1-2) worked an inning and was tagged with his first three earned runs this season. Key moment The Angels had a run in with two on and two outs down 8-6 in the seventh with Trout coming to bat. Bryan Abreu replaced Bryan King and needed just three pitches to strike out Trout swinging on a pitch in the dirt. Key stat Trout went 1 for 11 after entering the series as the active leader against Houston with 30 homers, 30 doubles and 73 RBIs. Up next Houston returns home to play the Philadelphia Phillies beginning Tuesday. The Angels hadn't announced a starter for Monday's series opener against RHP Walker Buehler (5-5, 5.95 ERA) and the visiting Boston Red Sox. ___ AP MLB:
