Beaches Resorts Just Launched a Perk for Kids' 1st Passports—And Parents Will Love It!
Let's be real: family vacations can feel more like trips than true breaks. The packing lists, the passports, the inevitable meltdown in security lines… sound familiar? But the second my family hit the sand at Beaches Resorts, everything shifted. The kids raced off to splash zones and kids' camps, and for the first time, I thought, oh wow, this actually feels like a vacation.
Tiny Traveler's First Passport = Big Perks
This fall, Beaches rolled out a new Tiny Traveler's First Passport offer to celebrate little ones' first stamps. Families with children five and under can score $135 resort credit per child (up to two) when they show proof of a newly issued passport at check-in. That's basically the cost of a kid's passport back in your pocket.
It's extra money for the fun stuff—like a seaside dinner, professional family photos, or souvenirs your kids will insist they 'can't live without.'
Fall Fam Jam: Seasonal Fun for Young Families
From now through October 31, 2025, Beaches Turks & Caicos and Beaches Negril are hosting Fall Fam Jam—a lineup designed just for families with younger kids:
Pirate's Island Splash Bash: Twice-weekly splash parties with inflatable pirate gear, fruity snacks, and island music.
Mini Murals & Mocktails: A kid-friendly 'paint and sip' where kids paint while parents sip cocktails.
Baby Jammers: Outdoor jam sessions with drums, maracas, and shakers sized for little hands.
Pa-JAM-a Dessert Parties: Yes, you can wear your pajamas to a dance-and-treats night under the stars.
Even More Family Extras When You Stay Longer
As if Beaches' year-round lineup (Sesame Street parades, Kids Camps, watersports, pickleball) wasn't enough, families booking five nights or more this fall get even more perks:
Sesame Street Character Breakfast for big smiles at the breakfast table
$175 in spa credit for some much-needed me-time
Sunrise Yoga sessions the whole family can join
The Bottom Line: A True Vacation for Everyone
Whether it's your toddler's very first passport stamp or your teen's fiftieth cannonball into the pool, Beaches Resorts knows how to make family vacations feel easy, fun, and restorative—for parents, too.You Might Also Like

What feud? Shaquille O'Neal to be presenter for Dwight Howard at Hall of Fame
In a couple of weeks, when Dwight Howard is inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, Shaquille O'Neal will be by his side as one of his presenters. Shaq's addition to the list of Patrick Ewing, Robert Parish, Dennis Rodman, and Dominique Wilkins was announced by the Hall. Let's make it official. See you soon @SHAQ. 😎 #25HoopClass It's an interesting choice, given that Shaq and Howard have had a public feud that goes back more than 17 years. It was an inevitable tension as Shaq was not willing to cede his spot among the best centers in the game to another player, especially one Shaq saw as appropriating his 'Superman' image. So u wear a cape and win a dunk contest and they call u superman So This feud continued after Shaq's playing days, with him once suggesting Brook Lopez was a better center than Howard (who had been named First Team All-NBA for five straight years at that point). Howard said Shaq was retired and needed to let it go. Shaq later said all this was a motivational tactic to fire up Howard, but it continued even a year ago when both were out of the game (Howard was inspired by the Mike Tyson/Jake Paul 'fight'). Gotta have more than one ring to get in the ring with me, I'll stick with a real champion like @RobGronkowski, and you can have the Superman belt, all yours buddy, Now, though, it's apparently all good, and when Dwight Howard deservedly enters the Hall of Fame next month, Shaq will be there to present him and welcome him to the club.

Muggy day ahead, Maryland feels brunt of "Erin" impacts Thursday
A gloomy Wednesday morning across Maryland has slowed the morning commute with areas of mist, drizzle, and fog. The overcast and murky weather will burn off by midday leaving us with a partly sunny, warm, and muggy afternoon. A passing shower or thunderstorm is possible later today into tonight. Hurricane Erin will continue to be the big weather story today through the end of the week for Maryland and Delaware beaches with large waves, dangerous surf, and life threatening rip currents. Many beaches from Assateague Island to Rehoboth, Delaware are close indefinitely due to the dangerous ocean conditions. Tropical storm force wind gusts and rain bands in addition to the large and dangerous surf will make Thursday the toughest day of storm impacts. Wednesday morning featured plenty of gloomy weather with mist, drizzle, and fog. This will lift by midday with a warmer and muggier feel returning this afternoon. Expect highs to climb into the lower 80s with heat index values reaching the upper 80s. Expect low clouds to give way to breaks of hazy sunshine. Scattered showers and storms in western Maryland will track toward the area late this afternoon into this evening. Many of the storms will fizzle out before reaching our area, but a few isolated storms are possible this evening into tonight. This same weather system responsible for the shower chances later today and tonight will interact and help keep Hurricane Erin offshore from Maryland Thursday. Despite the center of "Erin" staying hundreds of miles offshore, we'll still be dealing with fringe impacts from the storm. Breezy weather is to be expected across most of central Maryland Thursday along with a few waves of scattered showers. The best chance of showers will be during the morning, midday, and early afternoon hours. While Thursday looks breezy across central Maryland, disruptive winds are not likely in Baltimore and points west. Expect northeast winds at 10 to 25 mph with gusts to 25 mph. Closer to Chesapeake Bay, winds will ramp up just a bit with gusts 30 to 35 mph, so localized bridge and travel restrictions are possible, but even these impacts look minimal. In addition to some windier weather along the Bay, minor coastal flooding still could be an issue with high tide cycles later today through Thursday. Maryland and Delaware Atlantic Ocean beach communities will feel the brunt of "Erin" impacts today through Saturday. The greatest concern right now is life threatening rip currents continuing through at least Friday. Many beaches including Ocean City, MD, Assateague Island, and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware are closed indefinitely to swimming due to the extremely dangerous conditions. High Surf Advisories are in effect for the entire Maryland and Delaware coastlines for large and dangerous breaking waves reaching 8 to 12 feet later today. These sets of waves will continue to create life threatening rip currents and areas of coastal flooding. This will continue through at least Friday. Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect for the adjacent waters of Maryland and Delaware for winds gusting 40 to 55 mph. Wind gusts at many Atlantic beaches in Maryland and Delaware will reach 35 to 45 mph Thursday, especially late morning through early evening. Rain bands may also accompany the wind from time to time. The worst impacts from "Erin" in terms of wind and scattered showers will quickly end Thursday evening, but the ocean will remain extremely rough despite the storm's exit. Rough surf, dangerous rip currents will likely continue Friday and Saturday despite some beautiful weather. Please only swim at beaches with lifeguards on duty and obey all of their instructions. Friday and Saturday will be supreme weather days with plenty of sunshine, comfortably warm temperatures, and dry weather. Highs will top out in the lower to middle 80s. Sunday should stay dry, sunny, and warm through late afternoon. This should lead to another pretty nice outdoor day, but you'll need to keep an eye to the sky for some late day gusty storms. These storms will slowly cross the area Sunday night and exit Monday. Another batch of fall-like air is likely next week just in time for the kids returning back to school.
