The state-level closing ceremony was inaugurated by chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan released the progress report of the second Pinarayi government by handing over to the Chief secretary Kerala, Dr A Jayathilak IAS
Pinarayi Government's anniversary celebrations, which began on April 21 in Kasaragod, spanned all 14 districts of Kerala, with each district hosting exhibitions, public meetings, and cultural events as part of the program.
Chief Secretary Dr A Jayathilak delivered the welcome address at the event, which was presided over by minister K. Rajan.
Several ministers attended the function, including Roshy Augustine, K Krishnankutty, AK Saseendran, Ramachandran Kadannappally, KB Ganesh Kumar, V Sivankutty, GR Anil, V Abdurahiman, KN Balagopal, R Bindu, J Chinchu Rani, OR Kelu, PA Mohamed Riyas, P Prasad, P Rajeev, MB Rajesh, Saji Cherian, VN Vasavan, and Veena George.
Members of Parliament John Brittas and AA Rahim, as well as MLAs Antony Raju, Kadakampally Surendran, OS Ambika, K Ansalan, CK Hareendran, V Joy, DK Murali, VK Prasanth, V Sasi, IB Satheesh, and G Stephen also participated in the event.
Other dignitaries included Mayor Arya Rajendran, District Panchayat President D Suresh Kumar, District Collector Anu Kumari, and I&PRD Secretary S Harikishore.
The event marked a grand conclusion to a month-long statewide celebration of the government's achievements and public outreach initiatives.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that New Kerala is not just a concept to be imagined but something to be made a reality in the present times.
He was speaking at a district-level meeting held in Thiruvananthapuram as part of the Kerala Government's fourth anniversary celebrations.
The government is now entering its tenth year. During this period, some have tried to present a different picture by hiding the truth. There is a narrative that development activities are hindered due to economic crises. However, those who observe societal changes understand that this is not the case.
The government presents an annual progress report with the awareness that people need to know the facts, the chief minister said.
Kerala recorded a growth of 72.84 percent in its Gross State Domestic Product for the year 2023-2024. Tax revenue, which was ₹47,000 crore three years ago, has now increased to ₹81,000 crore. The gap between public debt and domestic production is lower than in previous years.
There has been significant progress in the startup sector.
Kerala has become one of the most important hubs for startups. While there were 640 startups in 2016, the number has now risen to 6,300. Investments in the state's startups amount to ₹5,800 crore. The government aims to increase this number to 15,000 startups by 2026, which will create over one lakh jobs. Kerala has achieved many accomplishments that the country can be proud of.
The state has transformed into a modern knowledge production centre .
Along with the Digital Science Park, projects to establish three more science parks, each with an investment of ₹200 crore, are underway. Efforts are ongoing to increase the number of companies and employees in IT parks. Kerala's contributions include the country's first Digital University, Digital Science Park, Graphene Innovation Centre, Kochi Water Metro, and the Virology Institute in Thiruvananthapuram.
Preparations are also underway for the innovative Ayurvedic Research Institute, Geno Data Centre, and Medical Technology Consortium, among others.
Kerala was behind in attracting industrial investments earlier. Since the Left government came to power, legal and regulatory changes have created an industry-friendly environment. This also changed the mindset of people. Many enterprises have started, creating new employment opportunities.
Kerala is a state with low poverty levels. Strengthening the public distribution system has yielded great benefits, with around 4.25 lakh priority ration cards made available. On November 1, Kerala will be declared the first state in India without extreme poverty. Kerala has achieved the number one position in many areas nationally. It has also become a state free from communal conflicts and riots.
The government has increased welfare pension amounts, benefiting 60 lakh people.
Under the Life Mission scheme, more than 4.5 lakh houses have been provided. Over four lakh land title deeds have been distributed, and steps are being taken to expedite further distributions.
The Ardram Mission has brought significant improvements in healthcare. Public education has also improved considerably. Kerala has three universities ranked in the top twelve nationally in higher education. Agricultural growth reached 4.64 percent.
The Chief Minister said everyone should appreciate the development of the state and acknowledged the progress and positive changes in all sectors.
V. Sivankutty, Minister for General Education and Labour, who presided over the event, said that many projects once considered impossible have been successfully implemented by the people's government, and this is history in the making.

Just 3 Days Of Parliament Disruptions Have Cost You Rs 23 Crore. Here's How
New Delhi: The Monsoon session of Parliament has, as expected, been a stormy one, but behind the headlines about repeated adjournments lies a real cost - Rs 2.5 lakh for every minute the Parliament is in session during active hours. The current session began on Monday and two key issues which have led to a logjam in both Houses - Lok Sabha more than the Rajya Sabha - have been the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, which the opposition has dubbed an attempt to help the ruling coalition, and the opposition parties' demand for a discussion on Operation Sindoor, which was India's response to the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. Each house of Parliament is supposed to be productive for six hours a day - excluding one hour for lunch - and, according to former parliamentary affairs minister Pawan Bansal in 2012, running the Parliament for one minute while in session costs Rs 2.5 lakh - or Rs 1.25 lakh each for the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. These figures are now a conservative estimate, given that they are from over a decade ago, but, in the absence of updated ones, that is what we will use for the calculations to follow. There have been three days in the monsoon session, which means each House should have functioned for 18 hours. Given the adjournments, however, according to data from non-profit PRS legislative research, the Rajya Sabha has functioned for 4.4 hours and the Lok Sabha for a measly 0.9 hours, or 54 minutes. This means that the disruptions have cost the taxpayer Rs 10.2 crore for the Rajya Sabha (816 minutes lost multiplied by Rs 1.25 lakh) and Rs 12.83 crore for the Lok Sabha (1,026 minutes it did not function multiplied by Rs 1.25 lakh). So, just three days of disruption have cost tax-paying citizens Rs 23 crore. Point, Counter-Point On Tuesday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju had slammed the opposition and accused it of wasting taxpayers' money. "The Opposition party leaders are all present here. In the Business Advisory meeting, it was decided that there would be a discussion on Operation Sindoor, and a fixed time was agreed upon. All issues cannot be taken up at once. Yet, instead of cooperating, they came with placards and disrupted the House," he said in the Lok Sabha "They're protesting with pillows, bringing placards -- despite agreeing not to. This is not acceptable. If they wanted a discussion and we were ready, then why disrupt the House?" he asked. Congress MP Randeep Surjewala accused the government of not letting the Parliament function and disallowing discussion. "Votes of 52 lakh people of Bihar are being cut... Isn't this a conspiracy to end democracy? It shows that this government wants to end democracy in this country. We only want to discuss this," he said on Wednesday

For Second Straight Day, Row Over Bihar Electoral Rolls In Parliament
New Delhi: The row over Bihar's voter list revision snowballed in parliament today as the government refused to answer the Opposition's queries, arguing that it is not competent to do so since the Election Commission is conducting the exercise, sources said. The government said it cannot answer on behalf of the poll body and questioned how, in such a situation, can the issue of revision of voter list be discussed. The Opposition, not ready to accept the argument, demanded an answer. For the second day in a row, the leaders continued their protest at Parliament's Makar Dwar, demanding that the revision exercise be halted. The controversial Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar and Operation Sindoor have been among the key issues on which the Opposition aimed to get a response from Prime Minister Narendra Modi during this session. But while the government has agreed to a 16-hour debate on Operation Sindoor, it flatly refused to discuss the electoral roll revision today. The poll body has claimed the voters are satisfied with the exercise and assured that there will be time to tweak the lists and include anyone who need to be included. The poll body has also claimed that the Special Intensive Revision or SIR is its constitutional duty. In court, where the matter is pending, it has argued that the entire process is being conducted in a consistent and jurisdictional manner. The Opposition parties have contended that the revision is merely a ploy to pick and choose voters. And they have become more vocal after the Election Commission, with days to go before the draft Electoral Rolls, declared that 52 lakh names did not make it to list. The Commission has said these names include those who have died, migrated or had names in two constituencies, the Opposition has refused to relent. Today, Congress's Manoj Tiwari said, "never before have so many names been removed before an election. This is an attempt by the BJP to murder democracy, like in Haryana and Maharashtra, we will knock on every door against it". The party's senior leader Gaurav Gogoi said the Election Commission is "doing the work of (vote-bandi) banning votes in Bihar". "It can only be done with the consent of PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. We want PM Modi to participate in the discussions of SIR, and he should inform us when the discussions on Operation Sindoor and SIR will take place," he said.
