
Ministry of Sports holds its first of the ‘Customer Councils' of 2025 to enhance sports services
ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)The Ministry of Sports held its first 'Customer Council' of 2025, under the Zero Bureaucracy Programme. This reflects the ministry's commitment to improving government services and boosting operational efficiency across the sports sector.The session was attended by Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, and Ghanim Mubarak El-Hajeri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports, along with more than 40 representatives from national sports federations.Dr. Al Falasi emphasised that organising the first Customer Council for 2025 reflects the ministry's commitment to involving customers in the development of sports services.He stated, 'At the Ministry of Sports, we operate according to a participatory approach based on innovation, integration, and flexibility. We believe that proper development begins with the customer, who is best positioned to identify challenges and propose practical solutions based on their daily experience."In this context, Customer Councils serve as a key tool for direct engagement, identifying areas for improvement, and adopting proposals that simplify procedures and reduce administrative burdens on customers, in alignment with the 'Zero Bureaucracy' programme, thereby contributing to the UAE Government's journey toward global leadership in delivering services that meet and exceed customer expectations.'He added that the ministry launched the 'Sportifai' digital transformation platform, which primarily aims to digitise processes and accelerate their completion to facilitate access to services. The platform also provides data to all sports entities in the country and connects them within a unified ecosystem, utilising the latest technologies based on artificial intelligence and precise data.Through this integration of direct engagement and digital transformation, we aim to offer a seamless, equitable, and flexible experience for all users, while also enhancing service efficiency to support the future of Emirati sports.'The 'Customer Councils' are one of several innovative government tools designed to enhance communication with stakeholders. It provides an open and inclusive platform for exchanging ideas, addressing challenges, and identifying opportunities for development.Following the Council, dedicated teams within the Ministry of Sports responsible for service development and bureaucracy reduction began reviewing the proposals and feedback submitted by federation representatives. These are being prioritised for implementation to support operational excellence and raise service quality across the board.These Councils are part of the Ministry's broader efforts to enhance user experiences, streamline administrative procedures, reduce documentation, and expand access to efficient, tech-enabled sports services supported by technology and AI.
The move reflects the ministry's commitment to enhancing transparency and flexibility in service delivery, in line with the objectives of the "We the UAE 2031" vision, which aims to position the UAE as one of the world's most efficient and leading governments.

Talabat concludes its up-skilling program in ocllaboration with the Information Technology Institute

ADIB and Abu Dhabi Housing Authority signs an agreement to expand affordable housing finance for UAE nationals
Strategic Collaboration aims to enhance access to housing finance solutions supported by the Government of Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank PJSC (ADIB), a leading Islamic financial institution in the UAE, has signed an agreement with the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) to provide top-up home financing solutions to UAE nationals. The partnership reflects a joint commitment to expanding affordable top up housing finance and supporting the development of sustainable communities in line with the Abu Dhabi government's broader social objectives. The agreement allows eligible Emirati beneficiaries to apply for a top-up finance on their housing loan issued by the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, a program supported by the Abu Dhabi Government. Through this agreement, the Abu Dhabi government aims to extend the support by offering top up financing solutions subsidized by 50% of the profit of the finance, enabling beneficiaries to secure homes that better meet their evolving family needs and lifestyle aspirations. The agreement was signed during a ceremony attended by H.E. Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, and Mohamed Abdelbary, Group Chief Executive Officer at ADIB. Under this agreement, citizens who have received loans for purchasing or building a home from the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, and whose monthly income exceeds AED 30,000, will be eligible to obtain additional financing of up to AED 500,000. The repayment period can extend up to 25 years, in accordance with the regulations of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates and in compliance with Islamic Sharia principles. The Government of Abu Dhabi will cover 50% of the profit and Murabaha charges associated with this financing. Commenting on this partnership, H.E. Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said: ' This agreement with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank reflects the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority's commitment to providing accessible financing solutions that support citizens' aspirations of owning suitable homes. It also contributes to enhancing family stability and quality of life for Emirati families. At the Authority, we are working to expand collaboration with private sector institutions to enable citizens to access flexible financing options that align with their needs and help realize their aspirations.'
