Saiyaara PR team went overboard with theatre clips, says Varun Badola: 'Chudiyaan tod rahe hain, chhaati peet rahe hain'
The romantic drama, Saiyaara, has broken several box office records and made Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda overnight sensations. In a recent interview with Screen, actor Varun Badola called out the film's PR team for going overboard in creating a euphoria around the film on social media. Varun Badola calls out Saiyaara's PR team of going over the board. Varun explained how, while working on the film, no one thought it would get so big. However, when the film broke records at the box office on the third day, it was then that everyone realised it had become that big. He further revealed that he hadn't watched Saiyaara yet. Varun Badola says Saiyaara's PR team went overboard Varun called out the promotional team of the film for going over the board and said, 'By the third or fourth day, the film was being talked about. I saw the euphoria on Instagram. Log jo chudiyaan tod rahe hain, chhaatiyaan peet rahe hai (People were breaking their bangles, beating their chest). I think the promotions team went a little overboard there, where people are going to see the film, putting IV drips.' He added, "Those people must have been told to give content in some way; thank god, people didn't get their legs broken and went crawling to see the film. It's okay. We understand promoting the film, but it's good only up to a certain level. However, the film cannot earn so much money just based on Instagram promotions. People have gone and seen the film, and they have loved it." What Mohit Suri said on 'paid theatre videos' Varun essayed the role of Ahaan's father in the film. After the first weekend, videos of viewers crying their eyes out, shouting, and fainting in theatres during the film's screening surfaced on the internet, and many accused it of being paid PR. However, speaking to Zoom, Mohit Suri clarified that the reactions were authentic and organic and said, 'We have tried to be honest all through this film. People think the viral theatre videos were created, but we have not done that." About Saiyaara Helmed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara tells the story of a struggling and troubled musician, Krissh Kapoor, who meets an aspiring journalist and a poet, Vaani Batra (played by Aneet Padda). He finds poems in her diary and turns those words into songs. As they work on songs together, with Vaani writing lyrics for him, they fall in love with each other. However, fate puts their relationship to the test and separates them. The rest of the tale shows whether they unite at the end or not. Backed by Aditya Chopra's YRF, the film marked Ahaan Panday's Bollywood debut and made both Ahaan and Aneet overnight sensations. The film, which also stars Rajesh Kumar, Geeta Aggarwal (Vaani's parents), Alam Khan (Krissh's friend) and Shann Groverr (Vaani's ex-fiancé), has grossed ₹304 crore at the Indian box office and over ₹500 crore worldwide — thus emerging as the biggest romantic drama ever in Indian cinema and the second-highest-grossing Indian film of 2025 after Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava ( ₹807.91 crore worldwide).

Lost Father When He Was Seven, Family Couldn't Afford Milk, Now He's India's Greatest Fast Bowler: The Inspiring Story Of...
1/11 Jaspri Bumrah himself revealed during an interview that he had just one pair of shoes and t-shirt which he used to wash every day and "use again and again". (Picture Credit: IG/jaspritb1) Little did Jasprit Bumrah know that his love for fast bowling would one day result in a change in his fortunes too. He started by copying the bowling actions of famous cricketers before settling on the unique action that has made him the bowler he is today. Steadily, he started making impressions and overcame rejections to prove himself at every level before landing IPL contract with Mumbai Indians. (Picture Credit: IG/jaspritb1) Jasprit Bumrah developed his pin-point yorkers thanks to a condition laid down by his mother: As a kid, Bumrah would bowl inside the his home during summers. His mother would get disturbed by the noise and to ensure she got her afternoon nap, Bumrah had to bowl without making any noise. As a solution, Bumrah started targeting the area where the wall and floor met which unwittingly became part of his training for bowling accurate yorkers. (Picture Credit: IG/jaspritb1) Jasprit Bumrah told his mother at an early age of his dream to play cricket professionally. Despite apprehensions, Daljeet agreed and was soon pleasantly surprised how driven her son was towards achieving the goal. (Picture Credit: IG/jaspritb1) Jasprit Bumrah, who became a father in September 2023, holds several records including that of the most wickets by an Indian bowler in an away Test series (32), only bowler to have reached top ranking in all three formats, only Asian bowler to pick 150 or more wickets in SENA countries - and more. This 70-year-old lifts weight at the gym. Her simple, vegetarian diet goes viral, "Ghar par, thoda sa...."
70-year-old weightlifter Roshni Devi Sangwan, who has gone viral on IG for her weight lifting videos, recently revealed her simple, vegetarian diet at home. Nothing fancy or fad, the septuagenarian, while talking to Ranveer Allahabadia, said 'Oats thoda sa. 10 almonds, raisins. Uska juice banakar peekar jaati hun. Ghar par, thoda sa chawal, dal, salad, dahi. Yeh khaati hun. Shaam ko ek hi moong chilla banati hun. Usme paneer daalti hun and 1-2 hari mirchi. Uske baad ek glass doodh. Yehi khaati hun. Aur kuch nahi khaati (I have oats with 10 almonds and raisins in a drink. At lunch, I have a little bit of rice, dal, salad, and curd. In the evenings, I have a single soaked moong chilla with paneer and 1-2 green chillies. I drink one glass of milk after that. This is what I eat. Apart from these, I don't eat anything else.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Roshni Devi Sangwan (@weightliftermummy) Why Roshni's diet works While extremely simple, Roshni's diet works on many counts. It is simple, homemade, protein rich, and most importantly, consistent. Here are some other reasons why a protein rich Indian vegetarian meal might work for many (though each individuals is different, and there is no "one size fits all" diet) Multiple nutritional benefits Roshni consumes enough daal and paneer in her diet. Lentils and beans, along with chickpeas, peas, soy, paneer and nuts form the diverse plant-based protein sources in our vegetarian "ghar ka khaana". These foods supply protein together with essential vitamins and minerals along with fiber content. The protein content of lentils and dals such as moong dal and masoor dal, makes them easy to digest, while also providing high nutritional value. The combination of rice with dal produces a complete protein that contains all necessary amino acids which the human body requires. The diverse selection of foods, allows for complete nutritional balance, while eliminating the necessity for animal-derived foods. Simple ingredients Most of us shy away from fad diets because of how impractical they are to follow, while living at home with others. However Roshni's diet is just the opposite. The process of preparing dal or chickpea curry, remains simple while requiring minimal cooking time. By making your own meals (like Roshni), you gain full control over ingredient selection, which allows you to stay away from preservatives, as well as reduce your use of excessive oil and salt. The cooking process at home helps maintain higher nutrient levels than both fast and processed foods. Supports muscle growth and repair Muscle building, together with tissue repair, requires protein as a fundamental component. Weight lifters like Roshni, will obtain substantial advantages from consuming vegetarian protein sources. Muscle protein needs are met through paneer, as well as tofu and various soy products. Beans together with lentils, provide sustained energy release, which keeps you upbeat all day, while supporting your healthy lifestyle. Promotes heart health and weight management A diet consisting of lots of daal, with vegetables and whole grains, brings naturally low levels of unhealthy fats and cholesterol. The foods in this diet help decrease dangerous cholesterol levels, which protects against heart disease. Beans and whole grains contain fiber which helps digestion, and maintains weight health because they keep you satisfied for longer periods. Homemade cooking allows you to determine the amount of oil and spices used in your meals which results in healthier and lighter dishes.
