If Sabrina Carpenter's sexual lyrics offend you, she says you're to blame

Metro20 hours ago

Sabrina Carpenter has insisted anyone offended by her sexual lyrics only have themselves to blame.
The 26-year-old singer has come under fire for her honest songs and racy moments on tour, including the infamous Juno sex position segment, and her kinky cover for new album Man's Best Friend.
Her new album cover has also come under fire, but the Bad Chem pop star finds the backlash all rather amusing.
'It's always so funny to me when people complain,' she admitted to Rolling Stone. 'They're like, 'All she does is sing about this.'
'But those are the songs that you've made popular. Clearly you love sex. You're obsessed with it. It's in my show.'
She also pointed out that while social media is always flooded with footage of whatever sex position she decided to mime during Juno, there's more to her gig than that.

'There's so many more moments than the 'Juno' positions, but those are the ones you post every night and comment on,' she argued.
'I can't control that. If you come to the show, you'll [also] hear the ballads, you'll hear the more introspective numbers.'
Although Sabrina can 'find irony and humour' in the whole situation, she pointed to a greater issue with the way women are 'picked apart' and 'scrutinised in every capacity'.
'I'm talking about every female artist that is making art right now,' she said.
'It's something that keeps coming back. We just have to grow thicker skin, but they don't have to learn how to shut their mouths.'
The interview has dropped just as the Espresso hitmaker is facing another wave of backlash over the cover for her new album, Man's Best Friend.
Her upcoming collection – which is the follow-up to Short N' Sweet – will drop on August 29, and the artwork has sparked some criticism, as it shows her on her knees in a black minidress and heels.
She can be seen posing for the camera and holding her hand up to a man's trouser leg, as he stood over her and gripped a fistful of her hair.
The second picture in the post included a zoomed-in photo of a dog wearing a tag adorned with 'Man's Best Friend'.
Fans are loving that new music is on the way, but the photoshoot has left a lot of people uncomfortable. More Trending
Some social media users branded the cover 'disturbing', with others urging her to 'get up'.
Below the announcement on Instagram, Edersoaresx penned: 'Lol this cover art is so disgusting. As a fan I don't like it :(.'
'I dont wanna see no man dragging you around by your hair mother please get up [sic],' wrote Carehanapov, while in a discussion over on Reddit, Adorable_Slide_921 simply complained: 'Ooooh boy do I hate this!'

Channel 4 star vomits as his girlfriend sleeps with another man

A man on Channel 4's open relationship sex show vomited before agreeing to let his partner sleep with another woman. Open House: The Great Sex Experiment follows the lives of several different couples as they seek to push the boundaries of their relationships. After Virgin Island left viewers 'uncomfortable' and 'creeped out', the Channel 4 show is another one that will leave you itching for the remote. The show explores what it claims is 'one of society's greatest taboos' – monogamy. The sexperiment follows monogamous couples who are sent on a sex retreat at a country house. In tonight's episode, Tom and Lauren decide they want to spice things up in the bedroom after having a chat with non monogamy expert Effy Blue. The couple were told to try and be 'independent' to see how it affects the dynamics between them. However, after they return to the room to prepare for the day ahead, Lauren could be seen telling Tom: 'Don't be nervous. You absolutely got this.' She then tells an interviewer: 'It was my idea. It was my idea from the start. Yes it's throwing me and Tom in the deep end… 'But to be able to have him to have the confidence that we can go off, have our fun, come back to each other at the end of the night and it's absolutely insane.' But, as the camera pans back to Tom in the room, suddenly we can see him being sick in the toilet. As Lauren tries to calm him down, he says: 'This is going to be horrible. I feel absolutely petrified and sick.' While hugging him from behind, Lauren tells him: 'All that anyone can ask is that you just try, okay?' More Trending Responding to tonight's episodes, many viewers were shocked by how graphic some of the scenes were. @manunhappy77B said on X 'I'm no prude, but this is unnecessarily graphic and getting away with it by being 'educational'. 'Grow up #Channel4 . It's tiresome you continue to try and shock 42 years into your tenure. Full of exhibitionists.' Strictly legend 'almost missed deadline' to accept King's birthday list honour

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman have been named in the King's Birthday Honours list, but one of the Strictly Come Dancing legends almost missed out. The TV presenting duo have both been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to broadcasting, having hosted the BBC ballroom show together for the last decade. But Tess, 56, admitted it 'almost didn't happen' after a mix-up with her letter. 'This genuinely came as the greatest surprise of my life. I don't think I've come back down to earth yet, I didn't see it coming, and it almost didn't happen, because the letter went to the wrong address,' she told the PA news agency. 'And thank goodness, someone very kind found me. And so by the time I got it, I only had, I think it was two or three days left to accept it. I can't imagine not ever wanting to accept such a wonderful award. But of course I did. But yes, it was cutting it fine, because it went to the wrong address first of all, but it ended well.' Tess made her TV debut on Channel 4 back in 1999 when she hosted The Big Breakfast's Find Me A Model competition, and five years later she joined Strictly alongside Sir Bruce Forsyth. As well as BBC documentaries, she's appeared on the likes of Children In Need over the years, and she's happy to accept the recognition. 'It feels like the most wonderful honour, because when you work as a broadcaster, you're part of people's viewing habits,' she said. 'It feels like a genuine privilege for people to invite you into their living room.' She added that she'd never 'take that for granted', while heaping praise on the people behind the scenes. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video 'I've been really fortunate to work with some of the very best production teams that there are in the business,' she said. 'And so my biggest thanks is to them, because you're only as good as your team.' Meanwhile, Tess admitted she 'cried' when she was finally able to open the letter, and she immediately wanted to be able to tell her late dad the news. She added: 'I cried when I opened the letter, because I just I couldn't believe it. 'I lost my dad many years ago, and I know how proud my dad would have been, and I would love to have shared that news with him more than anything,' she said. 'You're under strict instructions, of course, not to share the news before it's made public. But I must admit, I did tell immediate members of my family and swore them to secrecy.' More Trending Her co-star Claudia – who also fronts The Traitors, having started her career as a TV and radio presenter on a range of BBC shows – is 'incredibly grateful' but the hoour. 'It's a real privilege to work with extraordinarily talented people and I have only got this because of them. So this is for the BBC, the traitors and the faithful, for pianos and for the cha cha,' she said. View More » 'I will buy a hat and am taking my mum.
