Should we normalize baby showers for men? Some expecting dads think so
The adorable video was shared by @themelaninatedmomma, a heavily pregnant US woman showing a giant mountain of diapers, wipes and baby gifts stacked high in her living room, gifts from a surprise baby shower thrown for her husband by his workmates.
And look, I don't care how emotionally dead inside you are, if that doesn't warm your cold, crusty heart, I don't know what will.
Dads deserve celebrating too
The video itself is wholesome, but it's the comments that really drive it home:
'My husband's coworkers did this when I was pregnant. He came home all kinds of excited – mainly women, one made a cake, another did an amazing gift basket full of necessities. I will never forget how they included him in the baby excitement too!'
'Wait can we stop and acknowledge and really enjoy the fact that they threw a baby shower for their male coworker because they are supporting his fatherhood. This is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! Fathers need to be part of the transition too!! Yes!!!!!'

'We forget that the dads need spoiling too. I know this is a bunch of wipes and nappies but it's one less thing for them to think about for a few months.'
And this gem: 'We had one of these for a male coworker – it was a blast watching this big guy holding up the little garments. I highly recommend!'
Honestly, what's not to love about Big Kev from logistics delicately holding a Bonds Wondersuit and pretending not to cry?
Modern dads are all in
Here's the thing. Baby showers for dads shouldn't be weird. Or rare. Or played off as some ironic 'dadchelor' party featuring cigars and a nappy-themed drinking game. They should be a thing – a meaningful, supportive, slightly silly rite of passage that says: mate, you're about to become someone's dad, and we're here for it.
Because fatherhood? It's a big deal. And while society is improving at letting dads participate in the emotional labor of parenting, we still don't do a great job of supporting them.

We forget that the transition to parenthood doesn't just belong to the person carrying the baby. It's a seismic shift for dads too. The midnight panic-googling. The 'is this car seat meant to wobble like that?' anxiety. The quiet moment where it dawns on them that a tiny person will soon rely on them for everything. That stuff deserves a cake. And maybe a three-pack of muslin wraps.
The modern dad is all in. He's doing the nappy changes, the swaddling, the midnight feeds. He's packing the nappy bag (badly, but still). So why do we still act like the countdown to parenthood is a spectator sport for him?
Let's normalize baby showers for dads
Let them unwrap bottle sterilizers with genuine enthusiasm. Let them try to guess what a nipple shield is. Let them awkwardly pin bibs to a clothesline strung across the tea room. Because as much as we laugh at the idea of Alan from accounting playing 'Guess the Baby Food,' we're also giving him a moment. A marker. A way of saying: this huge, wonderful, terrifying thing is happening to you too.
And let's be honest, it's not just about gifts (though no one's turning down a bulk box of Huggies). It's about the symbolism. The support. The team huddle before game day.
We've done a lot of work in recent years to shift how we see modern fatherhood. Dads aren't 'helping' anymore – they're parenting. Properly. And that deserves to be recognized, celebrated, and yes, showered.
So next time your mate, brother, barista or boss announces they're about to become a dad, don't just slap them on the back and say, 'Good luck, mate.' Throw him a bloody baby shower.
Let the big guy hold up the tiny socks. Let the office mums go rogue with a gift hamper. Let it be fun, supportive, and full of nappies.
Because parenthood doesn't start in the delivery room – it starts with community. And everyone deserves to feel the love, right from day one.
Even Big Kev.

Jake Paul to face lightweight boxing champion Gervonta Davis on Nov. 14
Jake Paul will face Gervonta "Tank" Davis in a boxing match on Nov. 14 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Netflix announced Wednesday. The bout is expected to be the biggest test to date for Paul, a social media star with 28 million followers on Instagram and 21 million followers on YouTube. Paul (12-1) became a professional boxer in January 2020 and has impressed despite limited experience in the ring. He has faced criticism for his competition, however. Most of his opponents have been nonboxers — a former NBA Slam Dunk champion in Nate Robinson, and MMA fighters like Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren and Mike Perry. He beat a 59-year-old Mike Tyson, and his lone loss came to boxer Tommy Fury, the half-brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Paul, 28, is coming off a unanimous decision against former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June. Davis is without question Paul's most heralded opponent. The 30-year-old WBA lightweight champion is one of the sport's top talents, amassing a 30-0-1 record. Though he stands just 5-foot-5, Davis is known for his vicious punching power and has 28 knockouts in his career. He most recently retained his belt with a majority decision draw against Lamond Roach Jr. in March. Davis' boxing career was in jeopardy after he was arrested on July 11 in an alleged domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend. According to the Miami-Dade County Clerk's Office, a misdemeanor battery charge against Davis was dropped. Paul vs. Davis is the latest boxing match promoted by Netflix as it gets more involved in live sports. Paul's bout with Tyson last November, for example, peaked at 65 million streams, according to the streaming service. Netflix is also promoting Terence Crawford vs. Canelo Alvarez on Sept. 13, and has WWE Raw and multiple NFL games on Christmas Day. Not everyone in the boxing world is happy Paul vs. Davis is happening. Ryan Garcia, a former WBC interim lightweight champion who lost to Davis in 2023, wrote on social media that "boxing is officially the WWE … integrity of the sport is getting ruined every day."

Are Sean and Allyshia Still Together Post-‘Bachelor in Paradise'?
Sean McLaughlin and Allyshia Gupta may have left Paradise together—but did they stay together? Ever since the two self-eliminated on the latest episode of Bachelor in Paradise season 10, fans have been trying to figure out whether the couple is still going I'm sorry to say that things aren't looking good for them. Let's review the evidence, shall we? First, there was Allyshia's Bachelor Happy Hour interview on August 7, where she talked about how things might have been different if she'd arrived in Costa Rica sooner. 'I do think that had I come in Day 1 or Day 2, like earlier days, I do think that Dale [Moss] and I probably would have ended up coupled up,' she said. Sean's response? After Bachelor Happy Hour posted a clip from the episode on IG, Sean slid into the comments to write, 'Oh interesting'...before reportedly unfollowing Allyshia and removing all photos of them together from his grid. Then, on August 12, when asked by Us Weekly where she and Sean stood following her comment about Dale, Allyshia said they were on 'great terms'—though she didn't actually clarify whether they were still a couple. As she explained, 'I can see why he might feel like he was a second option, which wasn't the case whatsoever. We have a real relationship and I think that's where he has his feelings hurt a little bit because it's more than just a TV show.' She also mentioned that she was 'actually FaceTiming him before coming into this interview,' so there's that! The next twist came on August 15, when Reality Steve posted a new batch of spoilers on Instagram, which included the fact that (supposedly) Sean and Allyshia are 'not together' anymore. But the biggest clue yet came on August 19, when Sean got his turn on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. During his appearance, he seemed to suggest that he and Allyshia tried to make things work post-Paradise but eventually split. 'When we got sent home, I was so excited,' Sean said. 'We were going back to Tampa together. We had talked about leaving in a relationship well prior to us getting eliminated.' He continued, 'I thought I found the most amazing person. I was incredibly excited about our relationship. I couldn't wait to get back to Tampa—' but! Just as he was about to seemingly provide an update on where he and Allyshia currently stand, host Joe Amabile cut him off, saying they couldn't 'touch on where your relationship status is now.' Mmkay! Stay tuned for more deets as we have them.

Paris Hilton Kids Show Features Real-Life Pets and Original Song
Good news for fans of kids' TV shows. Paris Hilton is set to release a new animated series about a girl called Paris and her puppies, aptly titled Paris & Pups. The trailer was released today, and it's exactly what you'd expect. Check it out below. Paris & Pups drops on YouTube in September, from Paris Hilton It's safe to assume that it's no rags to riches story. The show follows the adventures of Paris Star, a 12-year-old girl who lives in the penthouse of the 'The Fabuluxe Hotel' with her five canine friends. Unsurprisingly, it draws its inspiration from Paris' own life. But as they say, stick to what you know. Indeed, Paris' own net worth is estimated to be around $300 million. The Hilton family (including mom Kathy Hilton) are worth over $14 billion dollars. 'I'm beyond excited to finally share Paris & Pups with the world. The series is set in a glamorous hotel full of sparkle, adventure and heart — a place that feels like home to me after growing up in hotels and making them my playground,' said Paris (via People), who also recorded the show's theme song. Paris and Pups is being produced by Paris' own media company, 11:11 Media, in partnership with 9 Story Media Group and HappyNest Entertainment. A cutesy kids' show seems like a bit of an unlikely move for Paris. Could it be that motherhood has softened the famously hard-edged star? She and husband Carter Reum welcomed two children via surrogacy in 2023. Paris paid tribute to her little ones in an Instagram post earlier this year, saying 'They've shown me a whole new kind of happiness and have taught me more about myself than I ever could have imagined. I feel so lucky to be their mama.' If you want to check the show out (choices!), the first four episodes arrive on YouTube on September 23.
