Two suicide cases reported in Azad Nagar

Indore: Two separate incidents of suicide were reported in the Azad Nagar on Wednesday, claiming the lives of a 22-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man. In the first case, Varsha (22), daughter of Roop Baghel and a resident of Alok Nagar, Musakhedi, was found hanging in her home. Police said she worked in a private company and was staying away from work for the past two days, telling her family she was feeling unwell. On Wednesday, while her parents and younger brother were away at work, she allegedly took the extreme step. Her father returned in the evening to find her hanging and alerted other family members. In the second incident, Ranjit (25), son of Chhotelal Ahirwar and a resident of Virat Nagar, was found dead in his rented room after hanging himself. He returned earlier that day from his native village, Parsun in Sagar district, and did not open his room since arriving. When calls from his father went unanswered, the landlord contacted Chhotelal, who then reached the room and found Ranjit hanging. Pregnant cow killed, villagers block road in Kukshi

Indore: Tension gripped Dehripura village in Kukshi tehsil on Thursday after a pregnant cow was found killed in a farmer's field. "A case was registered against unidentified people under section 325 BNS for mischief by killing or maiming an animal and under relevant sections of the Cow Slaughter Prohibition Act," said Vijay Dawar, ASP Dhar. "The animal, belonging to farmer Laliya Sirvi, was discovered in the morning with its abdomen slit open. The post-mortem report revealed that the miscreants removed an eight-month-old calf from the womb and fled with the meat," he said. The incident triggered outrage among locals, prompting villagers and members of right-wing organisations to block the Gandhwani–Bagh road for nearly three hours. The blockade caused long queues of vehicles in the area. On receiving the information, Bagh police station in-charge Kailash Chauhan and Dehri outpost in-charge Jagdish Chauhan reached the spot with a police team. The agitators submitted a memorandum to the SDOP, demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible and stringent action against them. Autopsy reveals gunshot injury in accident victim

Indore: The death of a 30-year-old woman, Rani, in the Kanadia area has taken a dramatic turn, shifting from an apparent road accident to a suspected murder case after the post-mortem revealed a gunshot injury in her head on Thursday. ACP Kundan Mandloi said that the victim, Rani, was rushed to the hospital by her husband, who claimed that she met with an accident on Wednesday night. "The x-ray report in the autopsy confirmed that a bullet was lodged in her head, and a case of murder has been registered," he said. Police have detained two people, including the woman's husband and his paramour, in connection with the case and suspect that they planned to murder the woman and show it as an accident. According to the initial account given to police, Rani came to Kanadia on Wednesday with her son. Ishwar, who works as a school vehicle driver, claimed he found her lying injured on the road and took her to MY Hospital before informing her maternal family. Following the post-mortem findings, police have reclassified the case as murder. Additional DCP Amrendra Singh said all angles are being investigated and action will be taken on the basis of the forensic report, the CCTV footage, and witness statements.
