
Capital Governor Reaffirms Commitment to Community Partnership and Worker Empowerment on International Labour Day
His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Capital Governor, reaffirmed the governorate's strong commitment to engaging in both local and international events through collaborative efforts with civil society organizations. These efforts, he stated, are key to enhancing social bonds and upholding the principle of community partnership.
This statement came during a special ceremony held to mark International Labour Day, where the Capital Governor honoured the governorate's employees in recognition of their dedication and meaningful contributions. The event was held in the presence of Deputy Capital Governor Hassan Abdullah Al Madani.
In his address, HE Shaikh Rashid praised the role of workers as essential contributors to Bahrain's continued development. He also reiterated the governorate's support for its workforce through various initiatives focused on education, awareness, and personal and professional growth.

MP urges support for workers' rights
International Labour Day is a chance to recognise the role of workers and honour their contribution across all fields of labour, MP Dr Maryam Al Dhaen said, praising the efforts of Bahrain's workforce in driving economic and social development. She expressed appreciation for Bahraini workers in particular, noting their skill and determination, and said their efforts have played a part in advancing production and growth. Dr Al Dhaen added that these contributions have been supported by the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who have placed Bahraini employment high on the national agenda.
