The White chocolate snacks
Maltesers' new white chocolate snacks are available at major retailers — but sweet lovers will need to act fast before they sell out.
They were the white chocolate version of Maltesers.
The key difference between them and the original was that, instead of being covered in milk chocolate, they were covered in a delicious white chocolate coating.
Maltesers are round balls of malted milk covered in chocolate.

They were launched in 1937 after being created by American Forrest Mars Sr.
Maltesers were were originally aimed at "dieting women" as a "lighter" way to enjoy chocolate.
How to save money on chocolate
We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs...
Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars.
Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal.
Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
They have since become popular across Europe and in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
White Maltesers were discontinued in 2014
White Maltesers were pulled from shelves 11 years after they first launched in 2003.

White Maltesers were originally launched as a seasonal product but became so popular that they began being sold all year round.
It has been reported that they were discontinued due low sales but many chocolate lovers were devastated to see the end of their run.
In 2017 a petition was started to bring the sweet treat back.
The petition's creator had hoped to garner 2,500 signatures of support but as of March 2024 only 1,637 had signed the campaign.

Argos slashes the price on back to school must-haves and prices start from £3
ARGOS has slashed the price of some of its must-have back to school items, with prices starting from as little as £3. The retailer is offering 25% off selected back to school products, including backpacks, lunch bags, water bottles and stationary. You can also pick up boys' and girls' school uniforms at Argos ahead of the start of the new term in September. The new offers include a Smash Strawberry Backpack in pink, reduced to just £8 from £12, and a Smash Yellow Stainless Steel Sipper 1l Water Bottle reduced to £10.50 from £14. Wicked Hydra Travel Mugs are reduced to £13.50 from £18, while Bluey and Spiderman lunch bags are reduced to £7.50 from £10. A Lego stationary set is reduced to £6 from £8, while 12-pack of Sharpie S-Note Highlighters are on sale for £7.50 from £10. There's also a gadget on sale that's perfect for parents who want to make sure their children's belongings don't get lost during term time. Dymo LT200B Letra Tag Label Printer is now £36.50, rather than £50. The Casio FX-991CW Scientific Calculator is also on sale for £25.50, down from £34. Meanwhile, Argos' school uniform range starts from just £3 for a 2-pack of Unisex Polo Shirts. Its 2-pack of red knitted cardigans start from £8, while its pleated skirts and trousers are £7 each for a 2-pack. The offers are available now on the Argos website and in stores, many of which can be found inside Sainsbury's stores. Shoppers who order by 5pm can receive their items by 10pm on the same day with the retailer's Fast Track same-day delivery. Other back to school offers Argos isn't the only retailer where you can bag some great back to school offers. Lidl last month launched a school uniform bundle for just £5, which includes two polo shirts, sweatshirts and trousers to choose from. Singular items can also be bought for cheap, with a sweatshirt going for just £1.50, and trousers, shirts, skirts or shorts for £1.75 during the sale. Lidl also offers a price-match promise, saying: "If you see a cheaper deal elsewhere, we'll match it." Aldi is also offering a £5 school uniform bundle this summer, which includes two polo shirts, a sweatshirt or cardigan, and a choice of trousers, skirt or cargo shorts – with individual items starting from just £1.50. Meanwhile, it's bad news for M&S shoppers as the retailer confirmed it would not be offering its usual 20% off sale on school uniforms this summer. The decision came after a cyber incident forced the company to suspend online operations for nearly six weeks, resulting in estimated losses of around £300 million. However, it said it had frozen prices on its school uniforms for the fifth year running. Do you have a money problem that needs sorting? Get in touch by emailing money-sm@

Hamilton law firm praised at parliament for volunteering efforts
Staff from Scullion Law transformed the garden of their charity partners Home-Start Staff at a Hamilton law firm have been congratulated at the Scottish Parliament for their long-standing volunteer partnership with a community organisation. Family law team members Judith Higson, Nicola Buchanan, Claire Thomas, Laura Cousins, Liz Semple and Carly Russell spent a day supporting Home Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire by clearing, weeding and painting the outdoor garden at their Maryhill base. It was the latest part of the legal firm's four-year partnership with the charity, which saw Scullion being named as corporate supporter of the year at the Home-Start UK Awards in March – and has now been recognised with an official motion at Holyrood. Annie Wells, the Glasgow MSP, sponsored a motion at the parliament praising Scullion's 'outstanding support' of the charity following the garden transformation to benefit its early-years youngsters during the summer; and noted that their ongoing link 'demonstrates a deep commitment to supporting families in need'. She also praised their fundraising donations of £1 from every invoice and participation in events including the Kiltwalk, saying they have 'raised significant funds for Home-Start since 2021' and commended Scullion's 'lasting impact in enabling Home-Start to expand services, train more volunteers and build resilient, thriving communities'. It has so far been supported by 23 MSPs, including Lanarkshire colleagues Meghan Gallacher and Fulton MacGregor. Head of family law Judith Higson said: 'It was fantastic to spend the day together as a team, supporting the brilliant work Home‑Start does for families. Getting stuck in with the gardening and painting allowed us to contribute in a hands-on, meaningful way, and we hope the families enjoy the space.' Home‑Start fundraising and partnerships officer Rachel Muir said the team's 'kindness and hard work have made a wonderful difference in creating a welcoming and pleasant environment for the families and children we support', adding: 'We deeply appreciate their time, energy, and generosity.' * Don't miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire. Sainsbury's makes major change to shopping as supermarket introduces Tesco Clubcard style savings
Sainsbury's has expanded its personalised discounts scheme for shoppers using its Nectar card. The supermarket chain rolled out its its 'Your Nectar Prices' programme to checkouts across Britain from 25 July. With Sainsbury's Your Nectar Prices scheme, Nectar app or Sainsbury's Nectar website shoppers can get up to 10 personalised discounts every week on items they purchase regularly or which are recommended to them. Now, they will be able to do so at the tills as well. However, the discounts must be 'unlocked' each week via the Sainsbury's website. To access the savings, shoppers must be digitally registered with Nectar. This can be done online or via the Nectar app. Once registered, loyalty members need to clock on the 'tap to unlock' Your Nectar Prices button in the Nectar app or website every week. If you do not do this, the Your Nectar Prices savings will not be applied when you shop. Shoppers accessing Your Nectar Prices via Sainsbury's need to have version 11.8 or later of the Nectar app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, Sainsbury's said. The offers available for Your Nectar Prices products are only valid for seven days, before the next selection of offers drops on a Friday. Sainsbury's claimed the Your Nectar Prices scheme could save customers more than £150 per year. The supermarket said it had generated over 17billion personalised discounts through the Your Nectar Prices scheme. It said the expansion to supermarket checkouts will allow more than 8.5million more shoppers to access Your Nectar Prices while they shop in stores. Sainsbury's shoppers can still benefit from Nectar Prices, which are discounted prices available to all Nectar customers on selected products when they shop. Shoppers can combine both schemes for maximum savings. For shoppers not wishing to register online or sign up to the app, Sainsbury's said: 'If you do not want to register digitally, you can still access great prices in a number of other ways when you shop at Sainsbury's, such as Nectar Prices and our Aldi Price Match campaign.' The move forms part of the supermarket's drive to ramp up personalised offers for shoppers. Mark Given, chief marketing, data and sustainability officer at Sainsbury's, said: 'Over the past few years, we've made significant strides with Nectar, with Nectar Prices being a big part of that success, bringing great value to millions of customers. 'But what really sets us apart is that we're leading the way by making loyalty personal. 'Shoppers want to feel recognised and rewarded and while Nectar Prices are for everyone, we know our customers love an offer that is made just for them. 'That's exactly what Your Nectar Prices delivers – it's about giving customers those extra savings on the products they love and buy most.' He added: 'Every week over a million customers are making the most of their personalised discounts and, by rolling this out to our checkouts, we're opening the door for millions more to grab fantastic offers on the items they already purchase and maybe even discover some new favourites.' Responses on X from shoppers have been mixed. One Sainsbury's shopper posting on X said: 'Your new Nectar prices email comes in early afternoon Friday, before which many hundreds of customers like us, have done their main shop. Please bring it forward at least 24 hours or are you doing it on purpose?!' Another shopper said on X: 'Changing Nectar Prices so you have to unlock them in the Nectar app each week is inconvenient for customers, shame you're moving to this.' First launched four years ago, Your Nectar Prices spans product categories including fresh food, household, health & beauty, baby and pet care. According to a survey from consumer group Which? last year, 74 per cent of shoppers have a Tesco Clubcard, while 50 per cent have a Nectar card. Having a Tesco Clubcard gives shoppers access to Clubcard Prices, which are available on selected products at Tesco. Only shoppers with a Tesco Clubcard have access to Clubcard Prices. Shoppers using the Tesco app can get personalised coupons to upload to their Tesco Clubcard to use online or to scan in-store. Supermarkets are vying to lure in more shoppers via loyalty schemes in a bid to boost their bottom lines. In November, following a probe, the Competition and Markets Authority said supermarket loyalty schemes do offer real savings. The CMA analysed approximately 50,000 grocery products on promotion and found that 92 per cent offered genuine savings against the usual price, despite the perception from 55 per cent of shoppers that 'usual' prices were raised to make loyalty deals more appealing. The watchdog's report found 'very little evidence' of supermarkets inflating their 'usual' prices to make loyalty promotions seem like a better deal.
