Henrik Larsson makes cryptic Celtic cameo alongside 3 key men as popular Hoops bar shuts down for filming
Larsson joined three other well-known faces for shoot at the popular McChuills bar in the East End
Henrik Larsson made a cameo alongside three Celtic stars for a filming project at a McChuills bar in East End – with the popular Hoops drinking spot shutting down for eight hours to roll out the red carpet.
The King of Kings regularly appears in the club's videos and adverts and most recently played a prominent part in their latest Christmas offering.
So when filming took place for an as-yet-undisclosed project at the famous Celtic-leaning bar near High Street station, it was no surprise to see Larsson pop up.
He was joined by three current Celtic stars – Adam Idah, Kasper Schmeichel and Luke McCowan – for hours of filming for an advert for which the details are yet to be revealed.
It took place on Wednesday, May 7 and the bar, which typically opens at 12pm during the week, stayed closed until 8pm to let the cameras do their work.
They explained it in a jokey social media post which read: "Unfortunately, due to completely foreseen circumstances, McChuills will be closed today until 8pm."
That was followed by a clearly tongue-in-cheek explanation which blames the 'Super-Duper Fitbaw Computer' for trashing their loos after the Pogues gig at the Barrowlands. You can read that on their Facebook page.
For now though the Hoops return to their quest in pursuit of another Treble as they round out their Premiership season against Hibs, Aberdeen and St Mirren – before the Scottish Cup showpiece with the Dons on May 24.
At some point between now and then, we may find out what this video is all about!
