DNB Final Theory Exam 2025 Result Out; Check Direct Link, Practical Schedule
Candidates who did not qualify the DNB Final Theory Examination can obtain digital copies of their answersheets by paying a fee of Rs 100 plus 18% GST per question paper through the NBEMS web portal, within seven days of the declaration of the theory results. Requests submitted after the prescribed period will not be entertained. The fee must be paid online via the NBEMS website.
A request for re-evaluation of an unassessed answer(s) can be submitted through the NBEMS official portal within 10 calendar days of the result declaration if any answer(s) has been wrongly marked as "not attempted" by the assessor. A fee of Rs 500 per paper is applicable, payable online via the NBEMS website. Requests received after the deadline will not be accepted.
The tentative schedule for the DNB Final Practical Examination, June 2025, has also been released.

Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from their Online Exit Examination Portal (OEEP) accounts once the DNB Final Practical centres are notified and the admit cards are uploaded on the OEEP. The list of practical centres notified by NBEMS can be checked here. The schedule is tentative; the final dates will be mentioned in the admit cards.

DPR submitted for Peroorkada Mental Health Centre revamp
Thiruvananthapuram: The long-awaited modernisation of Peroorkada Mental Health Centre took a major step forward, with the submission of a detailed project report (DPR) worth Rs 90.15 crore to Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) for approval. The plan has already received administrative sanction and marks the first phase of redevelopment under the institution's comprehensive master plan. The DPR will be submitted to the govt within five months to ensure that the foundation stone of the new building is laid during the current state govt's tenure. Prepared by HLL Infra Tech Services Ltd. (HITES), a subsidiary of Mini Ratna public sector enterprise HLL Lifecare Ltd, the DPR includes a wide range of facilities aligned with modern mental health policies. The first phase will see the construction of new buildings for OP block, IP block, administration block, behavioural ICU, a sewage treatment plant, power substation, a kitchen, power laundry, internal road renovations, compound wall and overall campus beautification. The proposed built-up area for this phase is 13,452 sq m. This is one of the oldest mental health institutions in the country. Food quality testing labs in Vizag, Tirumala to start operations next month
Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh govt is setting up five food quality testing laboratories across the state, with two of them, in Visakhapatnam and Tirumala, expected to begin operations next month. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The laboratories are part of a larger initiative to ensure food safety and protect the health of citizens, particularly devotees visiting Tirumala. The state govt has invested Rs 86 crore in the five laboratories, which will be equipped with advanced equipment to test food samples. The laboratory in Tirumala is being set up in a 12,000 square foot building provided by local authorities near the flour mill. Equipment worth approximately Rs 19 crore is being installed to conduct food sample tests. The laboratory will test samples of all types of food items and operate 24/7 with necessary staff. Until now, food samples were sent to neighboring states for quality testing, but with the new laboratory, samples will be tested locally. Health minister Satya Kumar Yadav said that the govt is prioritizing the healthy lifestyle of its citizens and that the laboratories will play a crucial role in ensuring food safety. The laboratories will help to prevent incidents of food adulteration, which had affected the sentiments of devotees in the past. The government has taken a decision to set up a special state-level laboratory in Tirumala to ensure the health of devotees. The Visakhapatnam laboratory will also be ready for operation by the end of next month, with basic equipment already in place and the final stages of bringing in all necessary equipment underway. The state government is also upgrading the Ongole and Eluru public health laboratories with Rs 13 crore and advanced equipment. A purchase order for the equipment has also been issued, and the govt has sanctioned Rs 6.5 crore for each lab. Meanwhile, state-level food laboratories are coming up in Guntur, Tirupati, and Kurnool. There is already a regional food laboratory in Kurnool, which will be upgraded to state level, and a new building will be constructed.

Bitten and ignored: 2 years after HC order, victims await relief
Panchkula: Nearly two years after the Punjab and Haryana high court directed the deputy commissioner to form a committee for compensating dog bite victims, neither has the committee been formed nor has any compensation been disbursed till date. Deputy commissioner Monika Gupta told TOI, "In this regard, the Haryana government has to make a policy as the budget is also to be decided. We have written to the government. Once the policy is made, the committee will be set up and the compensation will be given." In Nov 2023, the HC ruled that victims should receive a minimum of Rs 10,000 per tooth mark and Rs 20,000 per 0.2 cm of wound where flesh has been pulled off. However, the order has yet to translate into any actual compensation. Sunit Singla, chairman of the dog bite committee, municipal corporation, confirmed, "Not even a single dog bite victim was given compensation after the HC's order. The MC has to give it after the DC-formed committee sends the approved list to us. But no names were sent to us by the committee yet." MC councillors also expressed concern over the lack of public awareness about the committee and its role.
