Vivo might be fixing the biggest complaints about its mid-range phones with this new S30 series duo
Referential image of the Vivo S20 Pro. | Image credit — Vivo Vivo is preparing to launch two new smartphones that could shake up the mid-range segment in China later this year. A new leak has revealed key specs for the upcoming Vivo S30 and S30 Pro mini, and both devices seem to offer an impressive combination of performance, display tech, and camera versatility — especially for their class. The standard Vivo S30 is said to debut with Qualcomm's next-gen Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, which hasn't been officially announced yet. But based on the details so far, it looks like this SoC will be built on TSMC's N4 node and will follow a 1+3+4 CPU core structure — a design that aims to balance efficiency and performance for mainstream users. Meanwhile, the S30 Pro mini could be going in a different direction entirely by opting for either the Dimensity 9300+ or the rumored Dimensity 9400e, two high-end MediaTek chips that have recently been popping up in premium phone leaks. Here's a breakdown of the leaked specs for both phones:

Vivo S30
Display: 6.67-inch flat panel with '1.5K' resolution
Processor: Snapdragon 7 Gen 4
Camera: Periscope telephoto camera with Sony IMX882 sensor
Battery: 6,500 mAh
Vivo S30 Pro mini
Display: 6.31-inch flat LTPO OLED with '1.5K' resolution (same panel as the X200 Pro mini)
Processor: Dimensity 9300+ or Dimensity 9400e
Camera: Same periscope telephoto with Sony IMX882
Battery: 6,500 mAh
Frame: Metal
For context, the Vivo S20 series from earlier this year leaned more toward aesthetic appeal and decent camera setups. But from what we're seeing in this leak, Vivo seems to be targeting users who want something closer to flagship features without paying flagship prices. That would put the S30 series in direct competition with devices like the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, Honor 100, and Realme 12 Pro+ — all of which have been stepping up their hardware game recently in the mid-range space.
If these specs hold up, the S30 and its Pro mini sibling could be two of Vivo's most performance-focused S-series models to date. Public feedback on the S20 series leaned toward mixed impressions — while many users praised the sleek design and selfie-focused features, others felt the performance and battery life didn't quite match expectations for the price. The shift to more power-efficient chipsets, a larger battery, and the addition of a periscope camera suggests Vivo is aiming to correct those shortcomings this time around. If priced right, the S30 lineup could land in a sweet spot for users looking for a more complete mid-range experience.

The Nothing Phone (3) is expected to arrive in two color options: white and black. We also expect two memory configurations, including 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM with 512 GB storage. That alone brings it in line with other modern flagship specs. The Phone (3)'s launch feels like it is supposed to be a turning point for Nothing — a company that built its brand by offering thoughtfully designed phones at slightly lower prices. At $800, the Phone (3) must not only match but exceed expectations across performance, camera, battery life, and software polish. So far, we've been generally happy with what the company has to offer, but that was in the mid-range and budget segments. The vivo X Fold5 will weigh less than X Fold3's 219g as teaser video shows
The leading makers of foldables are in a race to slim down their devices – not just in terms of thickness but also in weight. vivo exec Boxiao Han shared a video of the vivo X Fold3 and the upcoming X Fold5 being weighed on a scale and the new model is clearly lighter. How light? Well, the X Fold3 is 219g, but no official number was given for the new model – so all we can say with certainty is that the vivo X Fold5 will be less than that. It has been more than a year since the release of vivo X Fold3. Now vivo X Fold5 will be released in June, weighing less than 219g, and will become the lightest big folding machine in the world. However, it is said that 8Gen3 chip is still used, which may indicate that the price… — ICE CAT (@UniverseIce) June 3, 2025 According to leaked specs, the X Fold5 will measure 4.3mm when opened and 9.33mm when closed. The X Fold3 is 4.7mm and 10.2mm, respectively. There are already devices that are thinner than that, e.g. the Oppo Find N5 is 4.2mm/8.9mm, but it weighs 229g. IceUniverse claims that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 will measure 4.2mm/8.9mm. So, it will be thinner than the vivo, but how much will it weigh? That's TBD at the moment. Anyway, back to the leaked specs – the vivo X Fold5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, apparently, the same chip as on the Fold3 Pro. It will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage. The phone will have a triple 50MP camera on the back, including a 3x telephoto, and two 32MP selfies (one on each screen). vivo X Fold5 (left) and X Fold3 (right) We took some screenshots of the video (above) and you can see that the vivo X Fold5 is indeed thinner than the X Fold3. However, the phone is shown with its main screen up, which doesn't reveal much detail. That screen will be an 8.03' 120Hz '2K+' panel, while the cover display will be a 6.53' 120Hz LTPO OLED. The battery is said to have 6,000mAh capacity, 90W wired and 30W wireless charging. This hasn't been confirmed officially yet, but the vivo X Fold5 (alongside the X200 FE) are expected to be unveiled on July 10, just over a month from now. Source (in Chinese) | Via

Amazon has multiple Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra models on sale at a super-rare $300 discount
Probably the best Android phone in the world right now is available at its lowest ever price with no strings attached. Do I have your undivided attention? Good, because you may want to hurry and order your favorite Galaxy S25 Ultra variant at a huge $300 discount before that inevitably goes away. This appears to be a totally unprecedented Amazon deal, mind you, although Samsung has actually sold its latest Android super-flagship at this exact same discount without an obligatory device trade-in or any other special requirements once or twice before. 5G, Unlocked, 256GB Storage, 12GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor, 6.9-Inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X Display with 3120 x 1440 Pixel Resolution and 120Hz Refresh Rate Technology, Corning Gorilla Armor 2 Protection, 200 + 10 + 50 + 50MP Quad Rear-Facing Camera System, 12MP Front-Facing Camera, 5,000mAh Battery with 45W Wired and 15W Wireless Charging Support, Galaxy AI, S Pen Included, Multiple Color Options Buy at Amazon 5G, Unlocked, 512GB Storage, 12GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor, 6.9-Inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X Display with 3120 x 1440 Pixel Resolution and 120Hz Refresh Rate Technology, Corning Gorilla Armor 2 Protection, 200 + 10 + 50 + 50MP Quad Rear-Facing Camera System, 12MP Front-Facing Camera, 5,000mAh Battery with 45W Wired and 15W Wireless Charging Support, Galaxy AI, S Pen Included, Two Color Options Buy at Amazon Curiously enough, the world's number one smartphone vendor currently runs a Discover Summer sale on its official US website, but the S25 Ultra is only marked down by a modest $120 with 512GB storage as part of that event. Naturally, you're strongly advised to take your business to Amazon instead and either go for an entry-level 256 gig configuration in a gray, silverblue, or whitesilver hue or that aforementioned 512GB variant in gray or whitesilver. Those are all the units available at a whopping 300 bucks less than usual at the time of this writing, but that might not be true for more than a few hours. Keep in mind that the Galaxy S25 Ultra normally starts at $1,299.99, and although a $300 price cut still doesn't make this bad boy conventionally affordable, it undeniably makes it a heavyweight value champion in addition to a pure powerhouse with some of the greatest specs in the mobile industry today. Yes, Samsung's newest crown jewel packs a cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite processor (for Galaxy), as well as 12GB RAM in combination with both 256 and 512GB storage space, a hefty 5,000mAh battery equipped with blazing fast 45W charging technology, and no less than four rear-facing cameras (including a 200MP primary beast). Our comprehensive Galaxy S25 Ultra review from a few months back found almost no flaw with the S Pen-wielding 6.9-inch giant, although it has to be highlighted that this is in no way a revolutionary device for Samsung's Galaxy S line and that the Galaxy AI tech the company is so aggressively advertising... still needs a lot of work before it can change your life.
