MLB acquires stake in Jomboy Media to expand digital presence
Jomboy Media will be used across MLB's digital channels. MLB will also help grow Jomboy Media's other shows, including 'Talkin' Baseball,' 'Talkin' Yanks,' and 'The Warehouse Games.'
Both sides are also expected to collaborate on IP growth and ad opportunities around MLB's key events, including the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby.
According to the release, Jomboy Media set revenue and profitability records last year, and had more than 93 million engagements on social media. Jomboy Media was founded by Jimmy 'Jomboy' O'Brien and Jake Storiale in 2017.
'We have long admired the passionate fandom of Jimmy O'Brien and his unique ability to connect with baseball fans,' Noah Garden, MLB deputy commissioner, business and media, said in a statement. 'This partnership will ensure that Jomboy Media will have the resources and access to MLB intellectual property necessary to help it continue to grow. We are looking forward to bringing baseball fans more entertaining content to help further expand baseball's online presence and deeper the connection between our sport and its fans.'
Jomboy Media's key property is 'The Warehouse Games,' a league modeled after classic backyard games. The series has nearly 400 million all-time views.
'I continue to be amazed by what our community enables us to do through their endless support. When we started talking about baseball on the internet, it was just a fun hobby. Our community is the reason we've been able to turn this from 'just a hobby,' into something bigger than we ever could've imagined,' O'Brien said in a statement. 'Partnering with MLB marks a huge moment for Jomboy Media, and through this partnership, we'll be able to give back to our community with storytelling that's deeper than ever before.'

Do you know they shower together after the games too? But that dancing guy! Draw the line!' Other right-wing social media users took to X to voice their displeasure at having men join an NFL cheerleading team, with one person posting, 'The Minnesota Vikings HIRED a MALE as their LEAD CHEERLEADER for the 2025-26 NFL football season. This is just disgusting…' Another person reposted the video announcement and wrote, 'I just threw up in my mouth." But former NFL star Antonio Brown took things a step further by reposting a video of Shiek in his new Vikings cheerleader uniform with the caption that used a homophobic slur. MAGA might be up in arms about these particular male cheerleaders, but they are far from the first. In fact, according to Outsports, last season there were 'seven teams had a total of 18 men on their cheer squads,' a trend that was started in 2018 by the Los Angeles Rams. And in 2023, two out gay men became the cheer captains for the Rams' cheerleading squad. Another social media user pointed out that while the sport is dominated by women today, the first cheerleaders were men, a fact backed up USA Cheer, which makes the whole rage debate even more ridiculous. Instead of being focused on the sport they supposedly care so much about, they are worried about who is cheering on the sidelines, in the ultimate 'No homo!' Saints put WR Bub Means on injured reserve
Wide receiver Bub Means won't be returning to the Saints' active roster this season. Means hurt his ankle in the team's first preseason game and the team announced on Wednesday that he has been placed on injured reserve. They signed offensive lineman Mike Panasiuk to fill the open spot on their 90-man roster. Means was a 2024 fifth-round pick in New Orleans. He had nine catches for 118 yards and a touchdown in seven games during his rookie season. Cedrick Wilson and Mason Tipton were listed as second-stringers along with Means on the team's depth chart.
