EXCLUSIVE 90s actress who starred in two classic comedies steps out in LA on rare outing... can you guess who it is?

Fans of classic '90s comedies did a double take when one of their favorite scene-stealers stepped out in L.A. on Monday. The actress, now 77, looked youthful as she was spotted grocery shopping at the upscale Bristol Farms market in West Hollywood. Dressed in checked trousers, a cozy cardigan, and chunky loafers, she looked worlds away from the hapless high school teacher she portrayed in the iconic 1995 coming of-age comedy. Her laid-back look also marked a sharp contrast from the flirty outfits she rocked as Kirstie Alley 's sassy best friend Rona in 1989's Look Who's Talking and its 1990 sequel Look Who's Talking Too. Still, longtime fans instantly recognized her signature fiery red locks — the same ones she's been flaunting since her guest appearance on Quantum Leap. Can you guess the star? If you said Twink Caplan, you're absolutely right! Back in 2020, Caplan marked the 25th anniversary of Clueless - in which she played hapless teacher Miss Toby Geist - with heartfelt reflections on the enduring popularity of the film and the deep affection she still receives from fans. Speaking to the Today show, she admitted the lasting impact of her role continues to surprise her. 'It moves me to think that I would move anybody or that they would like me that much,' Caplan said at the time. Caplan credited the film's success to its casting — especially praising Silverstone, who led the film as Cher Horowitz. 'There's no one in the world that could have played this role because she was so beautiful and so naively approachable and so kind and funny,' she said. She also shared fond memories of the late Brittany Murphy, who played Tai, recalling how Murphy's charm stood out during auditions. 'We kept her in the room for other people's auditions because she was just delicious, such a sweet girl,' Caplan said. The on-screen romance between Miss Geist and Mr. Hall remains one of Caplan's favorite parts of the film. 'When they found each other, it completed them. And it was genuinely kind of pulling your heartstrings.' Caplan also reflected on her longtime collaboration with director Amy Heckerling, who based the character of Miss Geist on one of her own former teachers. 'This movie that she wrote and directed was so amazing and put every one of us actors in the stratosphere because of it,' she said. 'And she is so loved.' Caplan was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on December 25, 1947. While she's best known for her role as Miss Geist in Clueless — a part she later reprised and executive-produced for the ABC television spinoff — her career spans decades of film and television. While she starred as Alley's BFF Rona in Look Who's Talking and its sequel, Look Who's Talking Too, Caplan declined to appear in second sequel Look Who's Talking Now (1993). She also appeared in the cult TV series Fast Times. As a producer, Caplan worked on films like Loser and I Could Never Be Your Woman, often appearing on screen alongside stars like Jason Biggs, Mena Suvari, and Michelle Pfeiffer In Frasier, she played the fall-back fiance of Donny Douglas. As a producer, Caplan worked on films like Loser and I Could Never Be Your Woman, often appearing on screen alongside stars like Jason Biggs, Mena Suvari, and Michelle Pfeiffer. Other credits include guest spots on Community, Frasier, CSI, Quantum Leap, and Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie. Throughout it all, Caplan has remained a beloved character actress known for her comedic charm and unmistakable red hair.

Free sports watch parties are taking over Hudson Yards this summer

Big summer energy just hit Hudson Yards—literally. The 30-foot Big Screen is back, towering over the Public Square & Gardens for a season-long run of free sports watch parties. Whether you're into F1, footy or the U.S. Open, this is your chance to watch the world's biggest events in a setting that's all vibe, no cover. Part of the Backyard at Hudson Yards programming, the Big Screen is showing a packed lineup through October. Upcoming highlights include Wimbledon (June 30–July 13), the MLB and WNBA All-Star Games (July 15 and 19), the U.S. Open (Aug. 24–Sept. 7), and the NFL Season Kickoff on Sept. 4. You'll also catch high-adrenaline events like the Tour de France, Rugby World Cups and multiple F1 Grand Prix races, including the Austin showdown on Oct. 19. And if your preferred sport is 'watching sports while snacking,' you're in luck. The surrounding plaza hosts food trucks serving gelato (Sogno Toscano), caramelized boba tea (Xing Fu Tang) and Van Leeuwen ice cream. Wells Fargo customers can also get priority seating and access to special food truck perks by showing their debit card. (Pro tip: After the game or during halftime, stroll over to the new Sailor's Choice, a dockside seafood shack built around a classic gentleman's lobster boat.) No need to squish into a dive bar or sweat it out at a rooftop when you can kick back on a lawn chair under the Vessel with the Hudson breeze in your hair. Arrive early—seating is first come, first served—and don't forget the sunscreen. This is outdoor viewing with all the drama of live sports and none of the elbowing for elbow room.

Chris Brown unleashes tirade at his record label as tour tickets still on sale

The Freaky Friday singer, who is currently on the European leg of his new tour, called out his record label in a row over lyrics to his new single Chris Brown has blasted his record label on social media as he begins the European leg of his Breezy Bowl XX Tour. The American singer posted an Instagram story in which he accused the label of sending out the wrong lyrics to his new single, Holy Blindfold. He said: 'Someone at the label has sent out the wrong lyric sheet to the music outlets so they have some crazy a** lyrics out there right now for Holy Blindfold.' Brown, known for singing Freaky Friday and No Guidance, added: 'Please ignore them and they will change it ASAP! I'm sorry I even have to write this message. The label should be more professional and make sure they actually check with the artist (me) before they even do some dumb s*** like this!' Holy Blindfold was released on June 13th and was produced by Jonathan Bellion and Monsters & Strangerz. Marcus Lomax and Jordan K Johnson also worked on the song, released under RCA Records. Fans took to X to react to the Instagram story, with one writing: "Chris Brown calling RCA Records out for sending the wrong lyric sheet out for his new single Holy Blindfold was not what I was expecting on release day." Another posted: "Wow! They had one job to do. They have us singing the wrong lyrics…" There are still tickets available to Brown's London, Cardiff, Manchester, and Birmingham shows this month, as well as his Glasgow and Manchester concerts in July. Last month, Brown was freed on bail by a court in London after being charged with inflicting an 'unprovoked attack' in a nightclub in 2023. This allowed him to begin his world tour as part of his bail conditions. He paid a £5 million security fee to the court as bail after being arrested the week prior and charged with grievous bodily harm. Brown had allegedly attacked a producer with an alcohol bottle at the Tape nightclub in Mayfair. Brown had been held in custody since his arrest in Manchester, and after his bail hearing posted on social media: 'From the cage to the stage!' The singer's last UK show will be at Manchester's Co-Op Live on July 3rd, after which he will head to Paris, France, before performing in Portugal. His US leg will begin in Miami, Florida, at the end of July and he will also put on shows in Detroit, Washington DC, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, and Atlanta. As the tour kicked off, Brown shared photographs of him exploring Amsterdam, where he performed on June 8th. He captioned the post: 'Fun fact: I like to sneak out by myself when I'm in different cities. It helps me feel human and normal. That's really important for my mental due to the fact that I just can't walk around freely during the day.' The singer added: 'Keeps me grounded. Being secluded from some parts of everyday life activities will drive you insane being isolated all the time. Cook, remain humble and grateful!'
