Dr Brian Monaisa confirms Minnie Dlamini split: Inside the short-lived affair

News2422-04-2025

Dr Brian Monaisa confirmed his breakup with Minnie Dlamini, attributing the split to personal reasons and denying infidelity.
Their romance was marked by lavish trips and public declarations, including a Valentine's Day post with a brand-new Porsche reportedly gifted by Monaisa.
Trouble surfaced in late March when they deleted photos of each other, signalling the end of their high-profile relationship.
After a whirlwind romance filled with glamorous travels and grand gestures, plastic surgeon Dr Brian Monaisa has officially confirmed his split from award-winning media personality Minnie Dlamini. Monaisa shared news of the split on social media on Monday, saying they called it quits on their romance under amicable terms, clearing the air around speculation of cheating.
"Ms Dlamini and I had a beautiful relationship, which sadly came to an end purely for personal reasons, which had nothing to do with infidelity by either party," he said. "Whilst our romantic relationship has come to an end, there remains mutual respect between Ms Dlamini and I."
The couple's journey began under uncertain timelines but became public knowledge in January when Monaisa posted loved-up snaps of them together on his Instagram stories.
The newfound romance soon faced controversy as Monaisa's ex-girlfriend, Neema Aloyce, publicly accused Dlamini of wrecking her family on social media. However, days later, Aloyce retracted her allegations, saying, "Even though she (Dlamini) was part and parcel of my betrayal, I should have been able to control how I dealt with the situation."
Despite the drama, Dlamini and Monaisa's bond blossomed.
By February, the couple had made it Instagram official as they had documented their luxurious Zimbabwe getaway.
On Valentine's Day, Dlamini affectionately referred to Monaisa as "motho waka" (my person) in a post of them together and another of her gleaming beside a brand-new Porsche, reportedly a grand gesture from the doctor.
The pair's romance peaked during Monaisa's birthday celebrations in March when Dlamini pulled out all the stops with gifts, a fancy party, and another getaway – this time to Nigeria.
Teasing playfully, she hinted at high expectations for her own birthday in July.
After the festivities, the former couple were all smiles at the 2025 Forbes Woman Africa Awards at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, demonstrating a star couple in their prime.
However, before the end of March, the cracks began to show as the pair quietly removed social media posts featuring each other from their respective social media pages, fuelling speculation. Notably, Monaisa was also absent from the screening of Channel O's (DStv 320) Club Bangers, a production by Dlamini's company Beautiful Day Productions.
Amid the highs and lows, an unnamed source previously told Zimoja that their relationship began as a friendship and grew stronger once both were single.
Dlamini's romantic history includes her 2017 marriage to Quinton Jones, with whom she shares a child. That marriage ended in 2022, with a denial of infidelity rumours in a joint statement.

Billie Eilish's Brother, Finneas, Revealed He Was 'Tear Gassed Almost Immediately' While Attending A Peaceful Anti-ICE Protest, Plus More Celebs Who Are Denouncing The Raids

Finneas O'Connell has revealed that he was tear-gassed while attending a recent protest against the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) department's raids. The protests, which took place over the weekend, saw people campaigning against ICE's raids of numerous workplaces in LA while searching for alleged immigration violations. On Friday, over 40 people were arrested in a raid, with LA Mayor Karen Bass telling reporters, 'ICE initiated enforcement actions on several workplaces. That created a sense of chaos, outrage, fear, and terror because people are very worried as to what happened to their families.' President Donald Trump then deployed 2,000 National Guard soldiers to LA to put an end to the protests, which led to numerous attendees being tear-gassed. Finneas, who is the elder brother of singer Billie Eilish, wrote on his Instagram stories: 'Tear gassed almost immediately at the very peaceful protest downtown- they're inciting this.' 'Fuck ICE,' Finneas wrote on his Instagram Sunday, reposting several other messages about the protests and raids, including one that said 'if you are into this fascist shit you are small and weak and will lose.' President Donald Trump deployed California's National Guard Sunday over the protests, with California Gov. What Preschooler Says During Acting Audition Leaves Mom Speechless

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Let's be honest—most adults have stretched the truth at least once to land a job. But one preschooler may have taken it to the next level. A recent survey by StandOut-CV of 2,012 U.S. adults revealed that more than three in five respondents (64.2%) admitted to lying on their resume at least once. But resume embellishments aren't just for grown-ups. When Harlyn Brielle was just four years old when she improvised during an acting audition - in a desperate bid to get the role. Her mom, Bree, 33, recently shared the clip on Instagram (@breenotacomedian), where it quickly went viral, amassing over 1.9 million views. "We rehearsed the commercial every day for weeks and she did that part perfectly," she told Newsweek. "But when we got to the questions, she had her own agenda." Two screenshots from the viral video showing the young girl looking at her mom and then smiling. Two screenshots from the viral video showing the young girl looking at her mom and then smiling. Instagram/@breenotacomedian During the virtual interview, Harlyn was asked whether she could speak any other languages. Without missing a beat, she confidently replied, "Yes," then proceeded to invent her own language on the spot—before wrapping up the impromptu answer by repeatedly saying "gracias" in Spanish. Bree, who had spent weeks rehearsing the commercial script with Harlyn, was caught completely off guard. "We rehearsed the commercial every day for weeks and she did that part perfectly," she told Newsweek. "But when we got to the questions, she had her own agenda." Trying to keep things on track, Bree gently clarified to the interviewer that her daughter could do accents, not speak other languages. But Harlyn wasn't about to let go of her narrative, doubling down on her claim with even more Spanish flair. Unfortunately, the audition—allegedly for a cereal brand—turned out to be a scam. Bree discovered the red flag when the organizers asked for money. "When I told Harlyn, her response was, 'No way we're paying them. I'm the star—they should pay me!'" Bree recalled. Although that particular opportunity didn't pan out, Harlyn, now seven, has since landed a small role in the film Girl in the Closet. Determined to support her daughter's acting ambitions, Bree even created an Instagram page dedicated to her budding career: @harlynbrielle. "Harlyn is one of those kids where I never know what's going to come out of her mouth," Bree said. "As a Virgo, she's bold, confident, and—if you ask her— she's always right!" Online audiences seem to agree. The original video, posted on May 6, has garnered more than 165,000 likes and many users can relate to the text layered over the clip. It says: "When you lie on the job application [and] say you're bilingual to try [and] get the job." "I checked the bilingual box on an Indeed app and listed 'mildly conversant' on my resume. I got the job and ended up answering phones while googling responses!" resonated one user. "This is what real confidence looks like. I hope she keeps it forever," complimented another and a third pointed out: "Her mom was just as surprised as we all were."
