Amy Dowden makes Strictly Come Dancing return for special BBC VE Day performance
Amy Dowden reunited with her fellow Strictly Come Dancing professionals for a special performance during the BBC 's VE Day 80 celebrations on Thursday, 8 May at London's Horse Guards Parade.
The dancer, 34, performed during Fleur East's opening rendition of 'I Got Rhythm' in front of veterans and members of the royal family, including King Charles III, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales.
In April, the BBC confirmed that Dowden will return to the dancing competition for the 2025 series.
She had to pull out of the 2024 series due to injury, after returning to the show following treatment for breast cancer.

Finally, Wynne claims he has been offered no support from the BBC with his mental health following his exit. He said: "I haven't heard from them since I got suspended, to me, I haven't heard from them, they've only spoken to my lawyers." After This Morning host Ben Shephard read out a reply from the BBC, saying they had offered Wynne support, Wynne said he wasn't aware of the support. RACE Across the World star Sam Gardiner's cause of death has been revealed after he died in a horror crash. The 24-year-old, who competed in the BBC One series alongside his mum Jo, was killed when he lost control of his car last month. 2 2 An inquest heard today Sam died from a "devastating brain injury" following the May 26 horror. The court was told he hit a kerb on the central reservation of the A34 in Stockport before crashing into a tree.
