Does John die on Emmerdale and is Oliver Farnworth leaving the ITV soap? Future 'sealed'
John Sugden might have arrived in Emmerdale just a few months ago but he has caused a storm of chaos in his wake. Oliver Farnworth, who previously appeared in Coronation Street, joined as the enigmatic John - but trouble was ahead.
Speaking at the time of him joining the show, Emmerdale 's Producer, Laura Shaw, shared: "We are thrilled to have an actor with Oliver's talent and presence join the Emmerdale family.
"The Sugden's have always been central to Emmerdale, and introducing a new member opens up exciting possibilities for future storylines. Mysterious John's arrival will no doubt create a stir in the village for Victoria and the wider community." It comes as a final showdown looms for John on Emmerdale - with three characters involved.
Oliver also added: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The show has such a rich history, and the Sugden family is integral to that. I'm looking forward to bringing my character to life and working with such a talented and dedicated team."
Since his arrival, John has struck up a romance with Aaron Dingle - and the pair are now married, despite Robert Sugden's desperate attempt to keep them apart. Robert is the only one suspicious of John, with everyone convinced he is a good person.
We known John has killed Nate and nearly killed his ex Aidan, as well as causing Jacob to fall ill so he could save him. He has also orchestrated a number of things against other villagers, letting them take the blame so he could act as their support.
Tonight's episode of Emmerdale - which is already available on ITVX - will no doubt leave fans concerned what the future holds for both a fan favourite character and also evil serial killer John.
Oliver Farnworth's future has yet to be revealed on the show but there has been talks of a downfall soon for John. Amy Walsh - who plays Tracy - appeared to address Owen being framed, telling us: "It's a bit of a rollercoaster. There is a shift with some new evidence that comes into play, but we don't know if it's evidence planted by John.
"Someone else might be put in the frame by John and it's neither of them, Cain or Tracy. So there is another twist and turn there. To be honest we're still filming stuff so we have only just been filming the bits where Tracy is accepting that it's not Cain and they're thinking who else it could be."
From spoilers for next week, we do know that John is alive, as he tries to persuade a sceptical Aaron to go easy on Robert. But could John's exit from the village come sooner than he thinks - and will he get away with his crimes?

Emmerdale confirms new romance for 2 favourite characters
It seems a connection between Belle Dingle and Kammy Hadiq is 'on the cards' on the ITV soap, following suspicions from viewers over the last few weeks. Recently, many spotted Shebz Minah (who plays Kammy) posted a picture of him sitting on a sofa alongside Eden Taylor-Draper (Belle). 'It's been a mixed bag because I think for Kammy and Belle, they go on like this journey and that. "And I think it's just nice to have like a bit of normality and mixed with a bit of banter. You get all these different feelings that happen during the scene. It's been really enjoyable. I'm not going to lie, I've really enjoyed it." Eden added: 'Stay tuned to see what's next.' Belle's last relationship saw the character physically and mentally abused by her husband Tom King, played by James Chase, before he was sent to prison. A Coronation Street cast member announced their exit from the ITV soap and fans are convinced their character was killed off. A Coronation Street star has announced their departure from the ITV soap and it's already been broadcast. In a shocking turn of events, their character may have met their demise, after the actor's goodbye message left viewers convinced they were "brown bread". Logan Radcliffe returned to the ITV drama this week, receiving a visit from Carla Connor whilst behind bars. She was frantic for answers about what had happened to Becky Swain, the late wife of her girlfriend Lisa Swain. Lisa had been finding it difficult to progress and move forward, uncertain whether Becky was in danger prior to her death and why she died, whether by accident or otherwise, with Carla wanting to help, the Mirror reports. She went to see Logan who demanded £10,000 for any information he might have about Becky. He then accidentally revealed a name, Tia Wardley, though no context was provided. Regardless of who she is, it was enough to get Logan into hot water with a fellow inmate over a "mutual friend" he'd angered. He was told he had revealed too much, and with that his cell door was shut - making it obvious to viewers he was in serious danger. As the episode came to an end, actor Harry Lowbridge, who portrays Logan, went on Instagram to announce his departure from the programme - confirming his final scenes had now been shown. With that, fans are certain Logan is now dead. They suspect that whoever Tia was, genuine or not, he'd disclosed too much and an unknown individual had the cellmate punish him for running his mouth. Fans reckon it will be disclosed that Logan has been killed, murdered in his cell. The actor confirmed no additional scenes were planned when he shared on Instagram: "Farewell Logan. It's been a blast x." Following the post and the broadcast scenes, viewers took to social media to share their theories that the soap had just killed off a character without any prior warning. One viewer said: "So Logan is brown bread then?" Another viewer agreed, writing: "RIP Logan," as a third viewer stated; "So Logan gets killed off in prison then!" A further comment read; "Harry posting a goodbye? Has Logan been killed in prison?" The reactions continued pouring in with one fan penning: "Okay so when Logan is killed in prison then what?!" Coronation Street fans think they know who Tia Wardley really is after Carla Connor was given the name by Logan Radcliffe after asking about Lisa Swain's late wife Becky Tia Wardley in Coronation Street has certainly got viewers speculating over their mystery identity. The name was mentioned on Friday, and it was hinted they were linked to the case surrounding Becky Swain's demise. Lisa Swain is still struggling to move past the death of her police officer wife Becky years earlier, even looking into the case. It comes after suggestion earlier this year that Becky may have been a corrupt officer, leading to her possibly being killed. Becky died in the line of duty, hit by a car which was later revealed to have been driven by Logan and Matty Radcliffe. All Logan would say was the name Tia Wardley, demanding money for any new information. But something happened to Logan before anyone would have the chance to see him again. It was because of the chat with Carla and the name he'd shared that he learned from a cellmate how he'd upset a "mutual friend". It seems Logan then got a beating or worse, with fans convinced he may be dead. So who is Tia, and why are so many people covering up what went down? Why is Costello so eager to silence any investigation into Becky's death, and why is it so important that Logan doesn't spill anything about Becky, or even the mystery Tia? Fans think it has everything to do with Tia's identity, and that she and Becky may be linked. In fact fans think Becky isn't actually dead, and she could have been given a new identity. Fans are wondering if Tia is Becky under a new name, and that there is much more to be exposed. Perhaps this is why Logan mentioned the name, or maybe why Costello is possibly covering things up.
