Mumbai police have been lauded for their heroic rescue of schoolchildren stranded in a flooded street near King's Circle. A school bus carrying seven children and two staff members from Don Bosco School broke down amidst heavy rains.
As heavy rains continue to wash Mumbai, a touching video of police officials rescuing school children trapped in a waterlogged street has won hearts across the city. Many citizens and celebrities praised the police for their brave and timely action.

took to her Instagram account to express her appreciation for the same.
Dipika, best known for her famous role in Sasural Simar Ka, took to her social media to applaud the officers for their selfless service. Sharing the viral video on her story, she wrote, 'Mumbai Police, this is so heartwarming to watch! A big salute to these policemen!!!'
In the video, which has been widely shared online, police officials can be seen wading through waist deep water near King's Circle to rescue students from Don Bosco School in Matunga.
Their school bus had broken down due to heavy flooding, leaving seven children and two staff members stranded in the bus.
The officers, wearing yellow raincoats, stepped in to carry the children to safety. The children were later reported to be taken to a nearby police station where they waited for their parents. Despite the unfortunate situation, many young kids appeared cheerful with backpacks and water bottles still hanging around their necks.
Considering the increasing showers lashing Mumbai, the IMD has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of Mumbai from August 18 to 21. With some areas likely to receive extremely heavy showers of over 21 cm.

On the work front, Dipika was last seen in Celebrity MasterChef India season 9. However, she had to exit the show early due to severe pain in her left shoulder. Dipika was also recently diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. The actress underwent a 14-hour surgery to remove a malignant tumour. Two months after the surgery, she shared a candid health update with her fans. Posting a selfie on Instagram, Dipika mentioned that even the simplest tasks felt exhausting after the treatment.
