Davenport man killed in Scott County crash near Donahue
A 66-year-old Davenport man was killed Monday evening in a Scott County crash, according to a news release from the Scott County Sheriff's Office.
Shortly before 7 p.m., the Scott Emergency Communication Center received a call about a crash near the 24000 block of Allens Grove Road, a gravel road just south of Donahue.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene, and conducted an investigation.
The initial investigation found that a white 2006 Chevrolet Silverado truck was traveling north on Allens Grove Road at the same time a green 1992 Ford F-150 truck was traveling south on AllensGrove Road. According to a witness statement, there was a vehicle traveling in front of the Chevrolet Silverado, also traveling northbound.
The Silverado and the F-150 crashed head-on in the 24000 block, the release says. The driver of the Silverado was able to get out of the truck before it caught fire. The driver of the F-150 was trapped inside the truck, and was deceased at the scene.
At the scene, medical personnel checked the 18-year-old Walcott man who was driving the Silverado and then transported him to a hospital, where he remains in stable condition, the release says.
The news release does not identify either driver.
The accident remains under investigation by the Scott County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Team.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office, Scott Emergency Communications Center, Scott County Medic EMS, Donahue Fire Department, and Maysville Fire Department all assisted with the crash.

One dead following two-car crash in Union County
NEW ALBANY – A Union County man was killed in a two-car crash east of New Albany Wednesday morning. The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle fatal crash on Highway 30 in the Keownville community in Union County on June 4 around 5:30 a.m. The preliminary investigation determined that Joshua N. Smith, 33, of New Albany, traveled west on Highway 30 in a 2014 Chevrolet Impala when it collided with the eastbound 2003 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Nathaniel E. Neal, 20, of Tupeloi. Smith received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene. This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

Owner of Billy's C's raw honey in Southwick died in Ohio crash
SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) – A beekeeper from Southwick was struck and killed by a vehicle while operating farm equipment in Ohio on Wednesday. In a police report 22News obtained from the Oregon Police Department in Ohio, at around 1:26 a.m. on Wednesday, officers were called to Brown Road for a report of a vehicle crash. The report says that a Chevy Silverado was traveling eastbound when it struck a fork-style farm vehicle traveling in the same direction from behind. He was taken to the St. Vincent Hospital for serious injuries, where he later died. He was identified as 35-year-old William (Billy) Crawford of Southwick, Massachusetts. Crawford is the owner of New England Apiaries on Klaus Anderson Road in Southwick and is known for Billy's C's raw honey. Bill graduated from the Hampden County Beekeepers Association Bee School and started his first beehive. In 2007, he started selling honey from a produce farm he worked at in Westfield before forming Pioneer Valley Apiary in what became New England Apiaries. The posted speed on Brown Road is 50 MPH. The report did not indicate any citations were given to the 20-year-old driver of the Silverado at this time. Southwest Houston: Two-car crash injures three; causes partial shutdown, power outage
The Brief Police say one car crashed into another while speeding on Fondren Road. One vehicle struck two power poles, causing an outage for hundreds. Three people were injured. One of them is said to be in critical condition. Southbound Fondren Road is closed off in the area. HOUSTON - The southbound lanes of Fondren Road are closed in southwest Houston following a crash that caused injuries and a power outage. What we know The crash happened at about 2 p.m. Thursday in the 9300 block of Fondren Road near South Braeswood Boulevard. According to HPD Lt. Larry Crowson, a Honda was speeding in the southbound lanes on Fondren near a Ford F-150. The Honda reportedly tried to avoid another vehicle that was coming from a side street when it struck the F150. Both of the vehicles rolled over several times, according to the lieutenant. The Honda crashed into a tree and was split into two parts. The Honda also struck two power poles, causing an outage in the area. It's believed 300–400 customers are out of power. The drivers of both vehicles are said to be in stable condition. A passenger in the Honda was trapped inside, but has since been taken to a hospital for surgery. Police say the passenger was in critical condition. Police have closed off Fondren's southbound lanes to investigate the crash and clear the area. What we don't know There are allegations that the two cars that crashed were racing, but police say that hasn't been confirmed. There is no estimate on when southbound Fondren will be cleared.
