Woman who Diddy allegedly dangled over 17th-story balcony to testify in court
Day 16 of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' trial kicks off today, with a woman who claims the music mogul dangled her over a 17th-story balcony set to testify today.
His ex-girlfriend is also expected to take to the stand either today or later this week. Jane, who is using a court-approved pseudonym, was allegedly sex-trafficked by the music mogul.
Forensic video expert Frank Piazza is also set to appear as a witness.
The music mogul is currently facing a number of serious charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution. Judge Arun Subramanian has ruled that exhibits taken into evidence during Jane's testimony won't be shown on video in order to protect her identity.
Jane, who is using a court-approved pseudonym, was dated the music mogul and was allegedly sex-trafficked by him. She was granted the video request yesterday after it was suggested it would help avoid the risk of her identity being revealed.
Court has now commenced.
Forensic video expert Frank Piazza is expected to be the first witness called to the stand today. It will likely be focused on the CCTV footage from LA's InterContinental Hotel in 2016, where Diddy was seen attacking Cassie by the lifts.
Fashion designer Bryana 'Bana' Bongolan, who sued Diddy after he allegedly dangled her out of a 17th-story balcony, is set to testify.
Combs' third and final alleged victim, who dated the music mogul, is also set to take to the stand. Her testimony could last up to five days, the prosecution has said.
It was an explosive start to proceedings on Tuesday as a woman was removed from court after screaming, "Diddy, these m*****f*****s laughing at you." Judge Arun Subramanian also promptly banned a man for breaching a court order by referring to alleged victim Mia by her real name on YouTube.
Eddy Garcia, who worked at LA's InterContinental Hotel in 2016, took to the stand and testified under an immunity order. Security footage obtained by CNN showed Diddy attacking Cassie Ventura at the hotel that year in front of the lift. He went on to claim that Diddy's chief of staff Kristina Khorram pressed for footage of the incident. Garcia claims that Diddy himself personally asked for the video and feared it could "ruin him".
He went on to allege that his boss agreed to give the music mogul the footage for $50,000.
Combs Enterprise's former head of finance Derek Ferguson also testified in compliance with a subpoena. A jury was shown Diddy's bank statements from December 2011, showing that his account transferred $20,000 to Cassie on December 14, the amount of $20,000 sent to his account from Broderick Ventura (Cassie's dad) and then the same amount returned to Broderick's account on December 17.
Ferguson also claimed while being cross-examined that he never saw anyone help Diddy commit crimes. He also claimed that Diddy's employees were a "very close-knit group".
The jury was then dismissed for the day.

Boulder firebombing suspect charged with 118 criminal counts
Soliman faces over a dozen attempted murder charges, two counts of using explosive devices, over a dozen counts of attempting to use an incendiary device, five counts of assault on someone over the age of 70 and one count of cruelty towards animals. Those charges could add up to as many as 384 years in prison, according to Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty. More state and federal charges could be added as the investigation into the Boulder, Colorado attack at a pedestrian mall continues, authorities have said. Soliman appeared in court behind a transparent parition where he was asked to shake his head or nod in response to questions. Judge Nancy Salomone ordered him back in court on July 15. The June 1 attack, in which Soliman is accused of hurling Molotov cocktails and using a makeshift flamethrower, targeted Run for Their Lives, a group advocating for the release of the hostages held in Gaza since the assault on Israel by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023. Authorities say Soliman, who's lived in Colorado Springs after coming to the U.S. on a tourist visa in late 2022 and stayed after it expired, injured 15 people ages 52 to 88, with burns ranging from serious to minor. The 45-year-old Soliman said "he wanted them to all die . . . He said he would go back and do it again and had no regret doing what he did," Boulder Detective John Sailer wrote in court papers. Soliman explained that, to him, anyone who supported the existence of Israel on "our land" is Zionist. He defined "our land" as Palestine, court documents said. Soliman threw two of the 18 Molotov cocktails he'd brought with him to the pedestrian mall, authorities said, yelling "Free Palestine. A federal affidavit charging Soliman with a hate crime and attempted murder says he learned about the demonstration from an online search. He planned the attack for a year and waited for his daughter to graduate from high school before executing it, according to the affidavit. He hoped to use a gun and had taken classes, but his immigration status prevented him from purchasing a firearm, the affidavit says. Instead, court documents say, he taught himself to make Molotov cocktails from YouTube videos. No one knew about his plans, he told investigators, though he left a journal behind for his family. Soliman's wife and five children are currently in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials; the Trump administration plans to have them deported.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs trial recap: Judge threatens to remove Combs; defense accuses witness of lying
What to know about the sex trafficking trial Sean "Diddy" Combs was almost removed from the courtroom today for attempting to interact with jurors. Judge Arun Subramanian angrily admonished the defense team and demanded Combs stop making faces at the jury, or else he would be kicked out of court. Bryana Bongolan — a friend of Combs' former girlfriend Cassie Ventura — returned to the stand today for more questions about her claim that Combs dangled her over a 17th-story balcony in 2016 before he threw her onto the balcony's furniture. Combs' defense repeatedly called into question Bongolan's account of the alleged balcony incident, at one point directly accusing her of lying to the jury. A woman using the pseudonym "Jane" also took the stand today. She said she was in a romantic relationship with Combs from 2021 to 2024. "Jane" provided graphic details about "hotel nights," when, she said, Combs would arrange for her to have drug-fueled sex with another man as he watched. The details of the "hotel nights" are nearly identical to what Ventura referred to as "freak offs." "Jane" said that she did not want to participate in the "hotel nights" but that Combs would threaten her financially if she refused. Combs faces five criminal counts: one count of racketeering conspiracy; two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs has vociferously denied the allegations against him. This live briefing may include graphic descriptions of sexual violence.
