Isaiah Likely further endears himself to the loyal members of the Ravens' flock

USA Today21-05-2025

Isaiah Likely further endears himself to the loyal members of the Ravens' flock Since his arrival, Isaiah Likely was immediately welcomed in by Ravens fans and teammates, and that love affair won't stall any following a recent interview.
Time flies when you're having fun. Believe it or not, it's already year four of the Isaiah Likely experience with the Baltimore Ravens, making this a contract season. He's already constructed an impressive resume. Teaming with one of the game's best, Mark Andrews, and another 2022 fourth-round draftee, Charlie Kolar, that trio comprises one of the game's best groups of tight ends from the top of the depth chart to the bottom.
Last season, Likely notched 42 receptions on 58 targets during the regular season. That effort resulted in 477 yards receiving and six touchdowns during 16 games. His career total after 49 games stands at 108 snags, 1,261 yards receiving, and 14 trips to the end zone. He has also pitched in with 11 receptions, 176 yards receiving, and TDs during five postseason appearances with another start.
However, he isn't promised anything past this season as he is scheduled to hit free agency during the 2026 offseason. No one should find it necessary to ask him where he'd like to stay, but if they did, the answer wouldn't be surprising.
Isaiah Likely offers his love note to the Ravens and their fans on Up & Adams.
If you've followed Kay Adams' career since she left NFL Network's Good Morning Football breakfast table, you've undoubtedly enjoyed what you have seen. Her Up & Adams brand is necessary viewing, especially when the Ravens are the topic.
She recently interviewed Isaiah Likely, and even though Baltimore's fans didn't need additional reasons to love him, he gave them another in a heartfelt message that The Flock is certain to enjoy.
Here's where things get interesting. As mentioned, Isaiah and Charlie must be given extensions if they are to remain on the roster past this season, but the same is true for Mark Andrews. How much money would Baltimore be interested in investing to keep this unit together past this coming regular season?
Following Derrick Henry's recent extension, there is still work to do. They still have 35 players on the preseason roster who are scheduled to hit free agency after the coming campaign. First things first. The focus must shift to qualifying for football's biggest game and winning. The rest, as they say, will take care of itself.

Davante Adams Sends Clear Message on Relationship With Rams' Puka Nacua

Davante Adams Sends Clear Message on Relationship With Rams' Puka Nacua originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Los Angeles Rams have retooled quite quickly after they went 5-12 in 2022 just one season after they won the Super Bowl championship. Advertisement They have won 10 games and made the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, and thanks to the addition of wide receiver Davante Adams and a cadre of young studs, they have high hopes for this fall and winter. Adams, a six-time Pro Bowler, could end up being an upgrade over the outgoing Cooper Kupp, and fellow Rams wideout Puka Nacua said that Adams is already having a positive effect on his new team. "The positive impact has already been felt from Davante," Nacua said. Adams, in turn, returned the favor on Instagram. "Special dude," his caption read. Davante Adams, Instagram Adams made his name as a member of the Green Bay Packers from 2014 to 2021 alongside future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. A second-round draft pick in 2014 out of Fresno State, the Northern California native grew into Rodgers' favorite target within a few years. Advertisement The Packers traded him to the Las Vegas Raiders prior to the 2022 campaign, and although the Raiders weren't successful with him, he continued to produce at a high level. New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams© Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images Last year, Adams was shipped at midseason to the New York Jets, where he was reunited with Rodgers. Although the Jets went just 5-12, he still managed to catch 85 passes and post 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns. The Rams are hoping that at age 32, he still has plenty left in his tank. Assuming he does, he could turn them into a true dark horse team in an improved NFC and make the race for the conference more interesting. A trade proposal that brings tight end Mark Andrews to the D.C. would continue the Washington Commanders' "all-in" approach to this offseason.

A trade proposal that brings tight end Mark Andrews to the D.C. would continue the Washington Commanders' "all-in" approach to this offseason. originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Washington Commanders have already made a point that they are targeting proven offensive talent to build around breakout star Jayden Daniels to get as close as possible to a "win-now" window. Advertisement Acquiring All-Pros in left tackle Laremy Tunsil and receiver Deebo Samuel sures up gaps in crucial positions, but there remains one question mark that could make Washington's offense one of the best in the league: a tight end. Zach Ertz is a solid contributor, but he is going to turn 35 this season and may not be looked at as a long-term answer within the offense. Writer James Dudko of believes the Commanders should pursue a trade with the Baltimore Ravens to land a star tight end in Mark Andrews. Andrews, a former 1st Team All-Pro selection, could pair with Samuel and Terry McLaurin to create a lethal pass game that Daniels could easily thrive in. Advertisement "[Andrews would] join a depth chart already brimming with numbers, but there's still room for a clutch chain-mover and prolific playmaker in the red zone," Dudko said. The Ravens may already have a replacement waiting in the wings in young tight end Isaiah Likely, so with Andrews on an expiring contract, Baltimore could move on from their seven-year vet at the right price. In this deal, a third-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft could be a worthy offer. Andrews ranks as a top-5 tight end in the NFL when healthy and has proven that he is capable of being a security blanket within a group loaded with talent. Advertisement Upon signing a contract extension, McLaurin will complement Samuel by being an all-around receiving target. Samuel's dual-threat capabilities are as versatile as they come and Daniels' extraordinary rushing ability can get him out of trouble with ease. This all could allow Andrews to find space in intermediate routes through the middle of the field and fortify a diverse offense for coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. Andrews may just now be hitting the peak of his career at 29 years old, so with Baltimore's decision looming between choosing him or Likely this offseason, they could decide to get ahead of things and deal the veteran to Washington for draft compensation. Last year, Andrews caught a career-best 11 touchdowns, while also converting 39 of his 55 grabs into first downs, according to Pro Football Reference. Those numbers are a young quarterbacks best friend and allow for a fit in any offense, let alone one as dynamic as the Commanders' already is. Advertisement More star power, like Andrews, on offense opens Washington's Super Bowl window wide open for the next few years.
