
Anudeep Durishetty assumes charge as Khammam collector
A 2018 batch IAS officer Anudeep Durishetty took charge as collector of Khammam district on Friday (June 13, 2025). In 2018, he assumed charge as joint collector of Bhadradri Kothagudem and later served as collector of the district in 2021.
Mr. Anudeep worked as collector of Hyderabad from July 14, 2023 before being transferred to Khammam as part of a major reshuffle of IAS officers taken up by the Telangana government on June 12, 2025.
A native of Chittapur village in Jagtial, he scored all India rank 1 in 2017 Civil Services Examination. He holds Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from BITS Pilani. Mr. Anudeep worked as an engineer at Google. He served as Indian Revenue Services (IRS) prior to becoming an IAS officer.

Kanishak Kataria's Family Kanishak Kataria comes from a distinguished and supportive family with strong roots in public service. His father, Sanwar Mal Verma, is a senior IAS officer from Rajasthan who is known for his dedication and integrity, while his uncle, K.C. Verma, also serves in the Indian Administrative Service. Kanishak's mother is a homemaker who played a vital role in encouraging and supporting him throughout his journey. His elder sister, Tanmaya Kataria, pursued a medical degree, adding to the family's academic background. He placed second in the International Mathematics Olympiad and earned an AIR 1 in the 11th National Science Olympiad in 2009. Additionally, he received the NTSE Scholarship in 2008 and the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Scholarship in 2009. Kanishak Kataria' career In 2018, Kanishak Kataria won the top spot in the Civil Services Examination. His father, Sanwar Mal Verma, an IAS official who served as Director of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department in Rajasthan, inspired him to pursue a career in public service. Kanishak Kataria received 1121 points overall in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2018 after receiving 942 points in the written exam and 179 points in the personality test. With mathematics as an elective, he passed the test with flying colours. Kanishak Kataria is currently promoted and posted as the new Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel (DoP), Government of Rajasthan in Jaipur. 'After 45 years of dedicated government service, I have made the decision to embrace new opportunities and move forward in life. I am incredibly thankful to the Prime Minister of India for accepting my resignation as G20 Sherpa and for having given me the opportunity to drive a range of developmental initiatives and contribute to the growth, development, and progress of India,' he wrote on X. In his post, Kant added, 'I now look forward to contributing to India's transformational journey towards Viksit Bharat by facilitating and supporting free enterprise, startups, think tanks, and academic institutions.'
