Man City ace Phil Foden in shock after brave best pal forced to rescue her three kids from horror house fire
The England attacking midfielder, 24, was left distraught after his cousin's house set on fire in the middle of the night.

Codie Owen, who Phil classes as his sister after they grew up together, bravely managed to get two of her young children outside the property in Stockport, Gtr Manchester.
She then returned into the house to rescue her third child.
The fire brigade attended the blaze at the property near Stockport County's stadium and spent more than two hours putting it out.
Codie and her children were all taken to Stepping Hill hospital to be checked for smoke inhalation.
The fire is believed to have been started by a faulty extractor fan in the upstairs bathroom.
A source said: 'Phil was really upset when he heard what had happened.
"He is really really close to Codie.
'They are best pals and spent loads of time together as children. He regards her as a sister and dotes on her children.
'He's now helping her find alternative accommodation as she can't return to the house for a while due to the smoke damage.'
In 2021 Codie posted a touching tribute to Phil on her Facebook page, adding: 'We are so proud of you'.
And in 2018 she posted another Selfie of Phil with her and her son, adding: 'Big happy 18th birthday to my rondog.'
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: 'At 1.20am on Friday 2 May, three fire engines attended a house fire in Edgeley, Stockport.
"The fire was on the first floor, and crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation fan to tackle it.
'One adult and three children were taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
"Crews were in attendance for two hours.'
Foden's agent was approached for comment.
Earlier this month, the Prem star was pictured getting kitted out in full Burberry.
Foden promoted the designer brand with snaps of himself in jacket, shorts and trainers at one the label's upmarket shops.
Last month, The Sun revealed Foden went to take his mind off football by going on a fishing trip.
The ace held up a beauty caught on a trip with the team from Manchester-based Carp Fever.

George Russell's staggering net worth as he nears new £30m-a-year Mercedes deal: Inside F1 star's rich sponsorship empire, stunning luxury car collection - and relationship with business-savvy influencer girlfriend
There can't be many 27-year-old's living the high life like George Russell this year. The British Formula One star is entering his prime, is building a sponsorship empire, travels the world with glamourous girlfriend Carmen Montero Mundt and is closing in on a new Mercedes deal worth an eye-watering £30m-a-year. There had been some nagging doubts about his future with the constructor but Russell is set for a bumper payday, more than doubling his current £12m-a-year package. As Mail Sport's Jonathan McEvoy exclusively revealed this week, negotiations have accelerated over the last few weeks and a source close to the talks confirmed: 'All the main points have been agreed.' Russell's incoming raise will remain well short of Max Verstappen and Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton - each on about £60m a year. While he does not yet have the achievements or global fanbase to garner such earnings, his win in Canada and domination over team-mate Kimi Antonelli this season point to his consistent form. He is delivering off the track, too. Russell is extremely marketable and has brands queuing up to represent them. His net worth is currently estimated to be in the region of £15m, though clearly that is set to increase substantially in the next few years. In addition to Mercedes and their high-performance engine division AMG, he has deals with the British Racing Drivers' Club, Bell Helmets, Alpinestars, MDM Designs and sportswear giant Adidas. He even has watch company IWC Schaffhausen backing his wristwear options and he's been seen wearing their Portugieser 'Obsidian' model, which can cost up to £41,200. Russell, a former child karting prodigy who grew up in Norfolk, like many F1 stars, is no stranger to a modelling shoot, either. He adorned the cover of fashion magazine L'Officiel last October and is sharply dressed at number of society events every year. Russell has been pictured at Wimbledon rubbing shoulders with the likes of Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, always kitted out in his finery. He was in situ for the final this year, decked out in a tailored double-breasted pin stripe suit alongside girlfriend Mundt. Mundt has been in a relationship with Russell since 2020 and the couple happily live in Monaco together. She has previously worked in finance - as an investor relations associate at Ruffer LLP in London - but recently announced that she is going back to studying. The driver's very glamorous girlfriend - who is originally from Spain and moved to the UK aged 18 - has a business degree from the University of Westminster. Carmen has more than 409,000 followers on Instagram, and often shares snaps of her luxury travels and enviable style online. The couple are understood to have met through friends in London. 'Five years with the most wonderful person I could ever ask for,' Mundt wrote on in honour of their anniversary in February this year. 'Forever proud of who you are and what you do.' She is impressive in her own right with a bachelor's degree in business management and finance and a diploma in asset allocation and risk management from the University of Geneva. When speaking about her work, she previously told followers: 'I always wanted to work in finance. 'My family struggled financially during the global crisis and that determined what I wanted to do from a very young age.' When asked if jetting around the world to watch Russell at races distracted her from her day job, she replied: 'It takes my head away from work and I enjoy the sport and spending time with him. 'There's nothing I enjoy more than G's success.' And the driver has described his other half as 'incredibly supportive'. 'Last year, for the first time, I experienced some fans booing me on a driver's parade. I'd never experienced that before', Russell explained. 'I talk with the people who I trust and love the most and they offer a huge hand.' Mundt is also business savvy when it comes to her own affairs and has her own contracts with major brands as an influencer. He has worked with Dior and Tommy Hilfiger among other luxury companies. Unsurprisingly, Russell ferries Mundt around in a variety of luxury cars from his collection when they're jet-setting around the world. Russell was spotted crouching next to his new Mercedes AMG ONE, a Formula One inspired hypercar. It has a top speed of 219mph, goes 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds and holds the record for the fastest lap time for a production car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Much of the tech in the car is similar or the same as that in an F1 vehicle and only 275 of them were made, all by hand. Given the tech and exclusivity, it is perhaps no surprise to see the price tag up at a whopping £2.5million. But Russell has his hands of one now and he'll add it to his existing fleet of Mercedes. Russell usually drives a Mercedes-AMG G 63, an off-roader better suited for the British countryside, while he also has an affection for Mini Mokes, which don't have any roofs or doors. He recently revealed that he typically uses a Mercedes-AMG C 63 S and washes it by hand himself. No doubt in the coming years Russell will add to his collection, especially now he's on the brink of the £30m-a-year deal. His hard work on the track restarts at the Hungarian GP this weekend and the already bountiful fruits of his labour will continue to grow in the years ahead.

Premier League clubs have long searched for the bargain signing which would change the competition on a number of levels but only a few of them have been successful There are many transfers which can lay claim to the most important of the Premier League era. Eric Cantona's 1992 move to Manchester United paved the way for their early dominance, while Sergio Aguero's Manchester City switch ushered in their era at the top, Both of those deals were critical to the success of one team and, by extension, the lack of success of their rivals. When it comes to lasting effects across the board, though, it's hard to look past Leicester's move for N'Golo Kante. It was 10 years ago today that Leicester signed Kante from Caen for £5.6million. It arguably wasn't even the most talked-about deal involving a Premier League team that day, with Manchester United's sale of Rafael to Lyon attracting more attention. That was probably fair enough, too. A 24-year-old midfielder with one season of top-flight football, moving to a side which narrowly escaped relegation in May? Hardly a leading contender for the 'signing of the summer' crown. A decade on, though, and few of us could have imagined the impact such an unheralded deal might make. And the repercussions are still being felt in 2025. It's hard to imagine now, but Kante wasn't an automatic starter for Leicester at the beginning of Claudio Ranieri's tenure. Andy King and Danny Drinkwater were paired together in the first three games as the Foxes picked up seven points, with Kante coming off the bench for a combined 48 minutes across those fixtures. He started 33 of the next 35, though, as Ranieri's team completed a fairytale run to the title. Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez might have scored the bulk of the crucial goals, but plenty recognised Kante's contribution as being just as important. "This player Kante, he was running so hard that I thought he must have a pack full of batteries hidden in his shorts. He never stopped running in training," manager Ranieri told The Players' Tribune. "I had to tell him, 'Hey, N'Golo, slow down. Slow down. Don't run after the ball every time, okay?' He says to me, Yes, boss. Yes. Okay.' "Ten seconds later, I look over and he's running again. I tell him, 'One day, I'm going to see you cross the ball, and then finish the cross with a header yourself.'" Leicester would have to launch their title defence without Kante after Chelsea swooped in with a £32m summer bid. And, while the 2015-16 title remains the only time Leicester have topped the Premier League table, Kante instantly added another title at Stamford Bridge. The Blues' success under Antonio Conte was built off the back of a league record 13 straight wins between October and December. Kante missed one of those games through suspension, but completed the full 90 minutes in the other 12 to show how valuable his energy and quality were to Conte's side. Kante's form in England had made it impossible for France boss Didier Deschamps to ignore him. The midfielder hadn't played a single minute for Les Bleus when he joined Leicester, but earned minutes at Euro 2016 - albeit not in the final defeat to Portugal - before making it into Deschamps' squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. There, he started every game as France went all the way. The midfield balance of Kante and Paul Pogba proved key, and one wonders whether the same would have been possible if Corentin Tollisso or Steven Nzonzi had occupied the spot alongside Pogba in the middle - especially when it came to stopping Argentina in the round of 16. 'He had a very precise role,' Deschamps said after the 4-3 win over the Albiceleste. 'It is true that we didn't really see much of Lionel Messi when he played against us.' A decade on from his move to Leicester, Kante has called time on his Premier League career. And yet his impact continues to be felt. Kante's final trophies at Chelsea came in 2021, when he starred in the Blues' Champions League final win over Manchester City and went on to add the Super Cup and Club World Cup. On top of that, though, the European title sealed Chelsea's qualification to the expanded Club World Cup in 2025. Chelsea's four seasons since winning the Champions League haven't been the best, but they made up for that in the United States by winning the 32-team tournament and securing a hefty financial bonus. Just two players remain from the 23-man squad which came out on top in 2021, but the latest rebuild wouldn't be possible without the other 21. The Premier League and world football could well look very different had Leicester not brought N'Golo Kante to England 10 years ago, It just goes to show how one relatively tiny deal can have a huge impact.
