August 11 - The NFL is kicking off the season with fans around the globe by hosting watch parties in seven international cities.
The free "NFL Experience" events are taking place from Sept. 4-7 in Manchester, U.K.; Berlin, Germany; Madrid, Spain; Mexico City, Mexico; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Toronto, Canada; and Brisbane, Australia.
"Our international fan base is one of the fastest-growing communities in sports, and NFL Experience is our way to celebrate that passion and bring the excitement of NFL Kickoff directly to fans around the globe," said Peter O'Reilly, NFL executive vice president for club business, international and league events.

Tom Brady gets destroyed by his friends over this picture with son Jack, 17

may be a seven-time Super Bowl champion but even he isn't safe from getting roasted by his friends - especially when his son makes him look small. The 6-foot-4 NFL legend shared a wholesome set of photos from a golf outing with his eldest son, Jack, at The Hills resort in East Quogue, New York. But it wasn't the father-son bonding that got people talking - it was Jack, 17, towering over the GOAT in a picture posted onto Brady's Instagram account. 'Everything still pretty much the same 'round here,' Brady captioned the post as he stood alongside his teenage son. That triggered an avalanche of good-natured ribbing in the comments. 'Is Jack standing on something? Besides business lol,' joked Mike Evans, Brady's former Buccaneers teammate. The NFL legend shared the picture with Jack from the golf course onto his Instagram account Rob Gronkowski chimed in: 'Jack is way more beastly than you.' Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin added to the pile-on, teasing, 'Except I heard Jack kicked your ass yesterday!!.' Fans also jumped in with disbelief, with writing: 'How is Jack taller than Tom??!'. Another joked, 'Jack just got an offer from every Power 5 school with that height and jawline combo.' Jack, who turns 18 on August 22, is Brady's son with ex Bridget Moynahan. The NFL star also shares two younger children - son Benjamin, 15, and daughter Vivian, 12 - with ex-wife Gisele Bundchen. Just last month, Brady appeared to take a subtle dig at Bundchen in his '199' newsletter while reflecting on parenting challenges. The NFL great, a seven-time Super Bowl winner, split from his wife of 13 years in October 2022, months after dramatically reversing his decision to retire from football. After their split was announced, Bundchen repeatedly alluded to her unhappiness at how much Brady focused on his sporting career at the cost of his family, with his unretirement said to be the tipping point. Now, in a newsletter Brady has recently started writing to his fans, the 47-year-old has said that he viewed his career as a central part of being a good father to his three children. 'I think part of being a great father is being a great example of doing what it takes to take care of your family,' Brady wrote. 'I chose to do it by playing football.' He continued: 'My dedication to the sport, the hours of practice, the moments when I was laser focused - those were times when I believe I was doing the best possible thing for my family and my kids, by prioritizing my profession and teaching, by example, what it takes to be really good at your job, what it takes to follow through on commitments, what it takes to be a great teammate; and showing them, also by example, that work is a big part of all of our lives.'

Saints acquire WR Devaughn Vele from Broncos

August 21 - The New Orleans Saints traded for wide receiver Devaughn Vele on Tuesday, sending two draft picks to the Denver Broncos to complete the exchange. The Broncos get the Saints' 2026 fourth-round pick and 2027 seventh-round pick for Vele, who was selected in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Utah. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound wideout finished third on the Broncos in catches (41) and receiving yards (475) and tied for third in touchdown catches (three) as a rookie. Vele played in the Broncos' first preseason game on Aug. 9 and caught one pass for six yards. He joins a Saints receivers room that features veterans Chris Olave, Brandin Cooks and Rashid Shaheed. The Broncos' group of receivers was upgraded this offseason, including the addition of third-round draft pick Patrick Bryant, who has caught six passes for 91 yards in Denver's first two exhibition games. --Field Level Media
