PSL 10: Alex Hales, van der Dussen rejoin Islamabad United
England's explosive opener Alex Hales, South African middle-order batter Rassie van der Dussen have joined Islamabad United for the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
'Islamabad United are delighted to welcome South Africa's star batter Rassie van der Dussen for the remainder of HBL PSL X,' the franchise said in a statement.
Earlier, English opener Hales had also confirmed his availability for United.
'Islamabad United has always been very close to my heart,' Hales was quoted as saying by the franchise.
'They were the first PSL team I played for in Pakistan, and the support I've received from the fans and the franchise has been incredible throughout.'
PSL 10 revised schedule announced
Hales, who was signed by United in April, said he had to reshuffle a few prior commitments after the change in PSL dates but remained fully committed to contributing to the team's campaign.
'I was really looking forward to joining up with the squad for the latter stages of the tournament,' he added. 'I'm absolutely thrilled to be back in Pakistan playing in Red. Hopefully, I can contribute and help the team push for another title.'
Islamabad United, two-time champions, will be hoping Hales' return bolsters their top order as the business end of the tournament approaches.

Goolie, who was a late addition to the squad, 'was unable to secure the required visa waiver, as the transition period for Trinidad and Tobago residents had already expired.' 'These processes are ultimately governed by UK immigration authorities and remain outside of CWI's control,' the board said. 'CWI remains optimistic that the matter will be resolved in the coming days, allowing Hosein to join the squad for the remaining matches.'

Beckham to be awarded knighthood by King Charles: reports
LONDON: David Beckham will be awarded a knighthood by King Charles III next week in recognition of his football career and his charity work, reports said Friday. The former England football captain is set to be named in the King's Birthday Honours List, according to the BBC and other sources. Other sporting figures who have been awarded the title include Beckham's former manager at Manchester United, Alex Ferguson, and British tennis great Andy Murray. The Sun newspaper said he would take the title of 'sir' and his wife Victoria, a former member of the Spice Girls pop group, will be known as Lady Beckham. Beckham played 115 times for England as well as for a list of high-profile clubs including United and Real Madrid. He is currently the president and co-owner of US team Inter Miami and co-owner of Salford City, who play in the fourth tier of English football. Manchester United boost profit forecast after Europa League run lifts ticket sales
