Daily Mail19 hours ago
It's been over 25 years since I Know What You Did Last Summer was released - and the horror movie's star Sarah Michelle Gellar is looking better than ever.
The 48-year-old actress wowed fans at the slasher film's premiere in LA on Monday, where she looked toned and fresh-faced as she posed on the red carpet with her husband Freddie Prinze Jr.
Although her character was killed off in the original movie so she won't be showing up in the new film but she will reprise her role in a reboot of the supernatural drama series Buffy The Vampire Slayer, which aired from 1997 until 2003.
Unchanged: Sarah Michelle Gellar looked as fit as ever for the reboot premiere of I Know What You Did Last Summer with her husband Freddie Prinze Jr in LA on Monday
Sarah regularly works out
The actress did not shy away from a good sweat session at the gym and could be found working out with weights.
In an interview with Parade, she shared recent changes to her exercise routine, explaining she added lifting to her routine - something she usually avoided.
She said: 'You play these characters and you can't be shredded, and you have to look a certain way. As you get older, you realize, as a female, you have to focus on bone density.'
The actress added that she worked with a trainer 'once or twice a week' for real strength-training, and also loved Pilates.
Remaining active: Sarah worked with a trainer 'once or twice a week', and loved Pilates
Balancing act: She often incorporated weights in her sessions
The star's trainer posted a clip of her workout and said: 'I've been working with Sarah for over six months now and all I can say is how impressive her progress has been!
'She's become stronger, fitter and more mobile by just sticking to a program and working on the fundamentals.'
Sarah's said in the past that she did not let a trip away from home get in the way of getting her workout in.
She told Women's Health: 'When I'm travelling, I always pack my resistance bands.
'There's so much you can do with them. I had my trainer make a hotel exercise program for me on days when I just can't make it out to the gym.
'My bands are key, but I'll often use hotel hand towels as sliders, too.'
The actress makes her own food to take with her on set
She previously stated how she enjoyed making her own food, and followed a balanced meal plan.
Sarah told Women's Health that she ensured that she looked at food 'holistically': 'It's not just about the food I ate today, but the food I ate this week or this month. Because as you get older, you realize it's about the whole picture.'
She's known to carry her own food wherever she went, including while traveling: 'I bring my own food to set a lot of the time so I can eat the food I want to eat when I need it, versus when they break for lunch.
'We don't get the ability to be like, "Oh, I'm hungry now, let me eat."
Regimen: She enjoyed cooking and followed a balanced meal plan
Sarah revealed that she's a 'dedicated meal planner'.
She said: 'Everyone at work makes fun of me because I'm always walking around with a lunch bag. Even on the airplane yesterday, everyone was laughing at me because I had to get extra ice for my lunchbox.'
The star 'always' made sure to eat a balanced meal.
She added: 'You need your protein, your carbohydrates. You need to figure out what gives you energy and what works for you. I bring my lunchbox on the airplane so I can eat when I need to.'

Singer Connie Francis dies aged 87

Connie Francis, the wholesome pop star of the 1950s and 1960s whose hits include Pretty Little Baby, has died at the age of 87. Her death was announced on Thursday by her friend and publicist, Ron Roberts, who did not immediately provide additional details. Advertisement Francis was a top performer of the pre-Beatles era, rarely off the charts from 1957-64. Able to appeal to both young people and adults, she had more than a dozen top 20 hits, starting with Who's Sorry Now? and including the Number one songs Don't Break The Heart That Loves You and The Heart Has A Mind Of Its Own. Like other teen favourites of her time, she also starred in several films, including Where The Boys Are and Follow The Boys. Dick Clark with Connie Francis (Reed Saxon/AP) The dark-haired singer was just 17 when she signed a contract with MGM Records following appearances on several TV variety shows. Advertisement Her earliest recordings attracted little attention, but then she released her version of Who's Sorry Now? an old ballad by Ted Snyder, Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby. It, too, had little success initially until Dick Clark played it on his American Bandstand show in 1958. Francis followed with such teen hits as Stupid Cupid, Everybody's Somebody's Fool, and Lipstick On Your Collar. Her records became hits worldwide as she re-recorded versions of her original songs in Italian and Spanish among other languages. Her concerts around the country quickly sold out. Advertisement Meanwhile, a romance bloomed with fellow teen idol Bobby Darin, who had volunteered to write songs for her. But when her father heard rumours that the pair were planning a wedding he stormed into a rehearsal and pulled a gun on Darin, ending their relationship and seeming to set on Francis on a pained and traumatic path. She chronicled some of it in her autobiography, Who's Sorry Now? 'My personal life is a regret from A to Z,' she told The Associated Press in 1984, the year the book came out. 'I realised I had allowed my father to exert too much influence over me.' Her father, George Franconero, was a roofing contractor from New Jersey who played the accordion, and he had his daughter learn the instrument as soon as she began to show an aptitude for music. When she was four, he began booking singing dates for her, going on to become her manager. Advertisement Although her acting career had faded by the mid-1960s, Francis was still popular on the concert circuit when she appeared at the Westbury Music Centre in Westbury, New York, in 1974. She had returned to her hotel room and was asleep when a man broke in and raped her at knifepoint. He was never captured. Francis sued the hotel, alleging its security was faulty, and a jury awarded her 2.5 million dollars in 1976. The two sides then settled out of court for 1,475,000 dollars as an appeal was pending. She said the attack destroyed her marriage and put her through years of emotional turmoil. She suffered tragedy in 1981 when her brother George was shot dead as he was leaving his New Jersey home. Later in the decade, her father had her committed to a psychiatric hospital, where she was diagnosed as manic-depressive. Advertisement At one point she attempted suicide by swallowing dozens of sleeping tablets. After three days in a coma, she recovered. She was married four times and would say that only her third husband, Joseph Garzilli, was worth the trouble. The other marriages each lasted less than a year. Concetta Rosemarie Franconero was born on December 12, 1937, in Newark, New Jersey. At age nine, she began appearing on television programmes, including Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts and The Perry Como Show. It was Godfrey who suggested she shorten her last name. Clark featured her repeatedly on American Bandstand, and she said in later years that without his support she would have abandoned her music career.

Cavinder twins share first update on boob-job surgery from hospital after going under the knife together

Haley and Hanna Cavinder have revealed their boob jobs all went to plan in their first update from hospital after going under the knife together. The Cavender twins, 24, announced on Wednesday that they were set to undergo the surgery after sharing a short clip on social media of Haley being seen to by a nurse in bed and Hanna walking up to the camera. 'Still trying to figure out how being 3 minutes older means she gets her job first,' Hanna wrote as the caption, clearly showing no nerves ahead of her procedure. And after they had the op, Haley confirmed that both of them went to plan in a series of video messages captured from hospital - although Hanna was still feeling the effects of the anesthesia at the time. 'So it was my first time going under and I was a little nervous, but it was amazing,' she said. 'My anesthesia's kind of worn off and I'm feeling good. I feel like I just had a really hard chest workout.' As she turned the camera to Hanna, Haley added: 'Twin just entered the chat. She's up, she's just a little faded. And yeah, we are bonding and hanging out.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Haley & Hanna Cavinder (@cavindertwins) Haley also posted another clip on TikTok of Hanna looking dazed in her hospital bed before explaining: 'I am an hour out and she is an hour out. I think that the doctor said she needed more anesthesia because Hanna's like very wired if you haven't realized that compared to me. So I think mine wore off way more.' The twins had teased the news to their millions of followers earlier in the week. They shared a video from the gym where they mouthed along to a voiceover which said: 'Say goodbye to these little, itty, bitty t***ies, b****es ... because 24 hours from now, I'm gonna have a rack.' The duo capitalized on their fame as college basketball players with the Miami Hurricanes to become a huge presence together as social media influencers. They have 4.6million followers on TikTok and an estimated wealth of around $4million. But the news of their boob jobs appeared to concern some of those fans, with many flooding the comments to say that they didn't need to have surgery. 'You are perfect just the way you are!' one fan said, while another wrote: 'Prayers for a successful surgery and a quick recovery.' Haley Cavinder is engaged to NFL star Jake Ferguson, who plays for the Dallas Cowboys. Hanna, meanwhile, was recently dating college football star Carson Beck but they split earlier this year in tense circumstances. She appeared to hint that she learned Beck cheated on her after they had broken up. 'I had no idea. I didn't break up with him because he was cheating. I broke up with him because of like who he was,' she said back in April.
