New M3GAN 2.0 Featurette Teases a 'bigger,' 'badder,' and 'bloodier' Sequel — GeekTyrant

Universal Pictures has released a new featurette for Blumhouse's M3GAN 2.0 , and it offers a behind-the-scene look at the upcoming crazy robot vs. robot action comedy horror film.
The video features interviews with the cast and crew and they tease a 'bigger', badder,' and 'bloodier' sequel 'in the best way'. The movie also look even more ridiculous than the first one.
The film takes place two years after M3GAN , 'a marvel of artificial intelligence, went rogue and embarked on a murderous (and impeccably choreographed) rampage and was subsequently destroyed, M3GAN's creator Gemma (Allison Williams) has become a high-profile author and advocate for government oversight of A.I. Meanwhile, Gemma's niece Cady (Violet McGraw), now 14, has become a teenager, rebelling against Gemma's overprotective rules.
'Unbeknownst to them, the underlying tech for M3GAN has been stolen and misused by a powerful defense contractor to create a military-grade weapon known as Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno), the ultimate killer infiltration spy. But as Amelia's self-awareness increases, she becomes decidedly less interested in taking orders from humans. Or in keeping them around.
'With the future of human existence on the line, Gemma realizes that the only option is to resurrect M3GAN (Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis) and give her a few upgrades, making her faster, stronger, and more lethal. As their paths collide, the original A.I bitch is about to meet her match.'
James Wan is producing the film for Atomic Monster, Jason Blum for Blumhouse and Gerard Johnstoneis back to direct the next wild chapter of A.I. robot mayhem. Akela Cooper ( Malignant, M3GAN ) returned to write the script.
The upcoming horror sequel co-stars returning cast members Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps as Gemma's loyal tech teammates, Cole and Tess, and new characters played by Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp and Jemaine Clement.
M3GAN 2.0 will be released in theaters on June 27, 2025.

WNBA Responds to Angel Reese's Pregame Outfit Before Chicago Sky Game

WNBA Responds to Angel Reese's Pregame Outfit Before Chicago Sky Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The WNBA issued a response on Saturday to one of its rising stars' pregame attire before the Chicago Sky and Phoenix Mercury game on Saturday. Advertisement Before the contest got underway, the league posted a short video of Sky forward Angel Reese arriving at Wintrust Arena in Chicago wearing an eye-catching outfit. The former LSU Tiger was seen wearing a white and black Chanel shirt, a red pocketbook and a camo-colored skirt. She accessorized the outfit with a gold watch on one hand and bracelet on the other alongside a leopard print headscarf to cover her hair, which the WNBA couldn't get enough of. 'Leading the league in boards and serving looks 😮‍💨,' the post's caption reads. Reese leads the league in rebounds per game with 11.7 heading into Chicago's 12th game of the season. Prior to the Sky's game against Phoenix, she had also been averaging 11.0 points per game, netting her a double-double stat line. Advertisement In Chicago's last outing against the Washington Mystics, the Sky lost 79-72, although Reese was able to put up a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. However, the 23-year-old forward committed seven turnovers, which prevented her team from gaining any sort of momentum. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (5) shields the ball from Phoenix Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas (25)Rick Scuteri-Imagn Images Despite the disappointing statline, she recently recorded her first career triple-double by ending the Sky's 78-66 triumph over the Connecticut Sun on June 15 with 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. She also recorded three blocks and two steals by the end of her team's third victory of the season. The Sky-Mercury game tipped off at 1 p.m. ET on ABC from Wintrust Arena. 12-year-old Allegheny County native crowned queen of marbles at annual National Marbles Tournament

Elise Peterson, a 12-year-old Allegheny County native, was recently crowned the queen of marbles at the 102nd National Marbles Tournament in Wildwoods, New Jersey. After four days of competition involving over 50 players and 1,200 total games played, the king and queen grand champions were announced on June 19. The Wildwood Marbles Tournament was founded in 1922. The event features four days of matches, "showcasing the skills and strategies of some of the nation's most talented marble players," per an accompanying press release. "The tournament has long been cherished as a testament to the enduring nature of friendly competition and the artistry of the game of marbles while fostering camaraderie, sportsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the game's rich history," the press release added. The "Mibsters," as the players are described, are male and female marble players between the ages of 8 and 14 who qualified for the competition by winning local tournaments throughout the country. Players often competed for national honors, college scholarships, and other prizes during the tournament. The tournament will return for its 103rd year, from June 15 through June 18, 2026, where a new king and queen will be crowned. How are games played? The game played during the tournament, "Ringer," begins by placing 13 marbles in the form of an "X" in a 10-foot circle, with players then alternating shots to knock marbles out of the ring. The winner is the individual who is first to shoot seven marbles out of the ring.

Dan Lanning Turns Heads With Another 5-Star Recruiting Video

Dan Lanning Turns Heads With Another 5-Star Recruiting Video originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning is not opposed to going out of his way to participate in fun activities with recruits and make sure they're happy. We saw this earlier in the spring when the young coach ripped off his shirt and did a cannonball alongside 5-star EDGE Richard Wesley to announce his commitment, and now we're seeing it again with 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho. Advertisement While it wasn't a commitment announcement, Lanning is turning heads this weekend for his participation in a push-up contest with the 6-foot-6, 345-pounder. The two raced to see who could get to 25 push-ups first, and while Iheanacho apparently won, it was definitely close. Hopefully, this video will have a better long-term result for Lanning than the pool jump with Wesley did. Just 17 days after the commitment, Wesley decommitted from the Ducks and opened up his recruiting process once again, which led to Lanning getting some backlash among college football fans for his recruiting antics. Most notably, the USC Trojans poked fun at Lanning, posting Will Ferrell's cannonball scene from Anchorman to announce one of their commitments. Fortunately, it doesn't seem as if the Ducks are going to have to go the extra mile with Iheanacho to get his commitment. The 5-star, who is rated as the No. 8 player in the 2026 class, has said for a couple of months now that Oregon is leading his recruitment, and there are multiple predictions for him to commit to the Ducks. Advertisement Whether or not that commitment gets announced with Lanning partaking in the video is yet to be seen, but at this point, we know the Oregon coach will do what he needs to do to land the recruit.
