Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Cedric Kaze has addressed the fans with a rather humorous analogy on pregnancy.
Speaking before the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs assistant manager understood the struggles of supporters and empathised with them by drawing on an analogy with pregnancy and childbirth. Chiefs hope for history to repeat itself
The Glamour Boys and Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates will contest their ninth meeting in a Nedbank Cup final. The stage is set for kickoff at 15:30 on Saturday, 10 May at Moses Mabhida Stadium. Of the teams' eight previous meetings in the Nedbank Cup final, Kaizer Chiefs have won six finals – in 1971, 1976, 1977, 1981, 1984 and 2006. Orlando Pirates have managed two wins in 1975 and 1988. A 75% win ratio is a huge reason for Amakhosi fans to be cautiously optimistic.

Kaizer Chiefs transfer tea: Chislett, Makaab, Maart, Maria Aurelio

Today's Kaizer Chiefs news wrap has a hot take from Mike Makaab on the club's new signing. Meanwhile, Angolan star Depu is still a target. ADVERTISEMENT Agent Makaab is glowing in his praise for Ethan Chislett. Depu has a poor scoring record. Why will that change at Chiefs? 'Masterchef' signs for Orlando Pirates Kaizer Chiefs sign Durban-born playmaker Chislett Chiefs have wrapped up a two-year deal for South African-born Ethan Chislett. The attacking midfielder can operate in several roles behind the striker and wore the number 10 for Port Vale, who were recently relegated to League Two, the fourth tier of English football. Agent Mike Makaab is a huge fan of his work, praising Chislett for his ability and knack for seeing a pass and scoring goals. ADVERTISEMENT Senior figure Maart signs new terms 29-year-old Yusuf Maart will stay on at Chiefs and play a vital role in their midfield, according to local reports from @UnplayableZA on X. Since arriving from Sekhukhune in July 2022, Maart has been a near ever-present in the Amakhosi engine room. Last season, he made 27 appearances in the league. Dodgy deal for Kaizer Chiefs? 25-year-old Angolan striker Laurindo Dilson Maria Aurélio, commonly known as Depú, got zero goals and one assist in 24 league games in Serbia last season. Not the most mind-blowing record. He did, however, excel for Angola in a recent Cosafa Cup match against Bafana. Pirates news: What Ouaddou's arrival means for Saleng

After weeks of speculation, Orlando Pirates have confirmed Jose Riveiro's successor: Abdeslam Ouaddou. ADVERTISEMENT The Moroccan manager has already endured a season in the PSL, leading Marumo Gallants to tenth on the log, meaning he should be well versed with Monnapule Saleng's abilities, albeit not featuring in the league since last November following a falling out between club and player. An offseason move has seemed inevitable for the 27-year-old; however, can Ouaddou's arrival reverse this notion? The 46-year-old will want the best stars at his disposal, and if he feels Saleng is one of those individuals, one can only presume that he will try to calm the waters with the Bloemhof native. A fresh face with new ideas could be enough to restore peace between Saleng and Orlando Pirates. Red flag signing Former Orlando Pirates shot-stopper Moeneeb Josephs has expressed his displeasure at the reported arrival of striker Yanela Mbuthuma. ADVERTISEMENT 'Why are we looking for players from clubs that are not above the top eight [small teams]? No offence to the player that we have signed,' Josephs told SoccerBeat. 'Look at how many goals he scored last season: he scored six goals in 27 games. However, no offence to him, but how many games did he start? So, that's like one goal every six games, pardon me if my math is off.' 'But my mind is telling me that we should be looking at the big boys [from big clubs]. We should look inside the top eight teams because outside of the top eight, there's nothing.' Who else should Orlando Pirates sign? Nasreddine Nabi didn't' want Orlando Pirates duo at Kaizer Chiefs?

Kaizer Chiefs are set to welcome about five players to the club ahead of their pre-season tour of the Netherlands. ADVERTISEMENT Chiefs are set to jet of for that pre-season trip next month with Nasreddine Nabi expected to welcome new faces. Mako and Monyane set to join Chiefs from Pirates Among those new faces is expected to be Orlando Pirates duo Thabiso Monyane as well as Paseka Mako. The defensive duo are both set to join Chiefs next week when their contracts officially expire at the Buccaneers. These being moves that came as a shock to many football lovers on the local front. This partly because it is normal normal that two players cross the floor at the same time. Some sections of the Chiefs fan base have also questioned the signings, and possible lack of ambition. They have cried that Amakhosi are not backing coach Nabi with his first choice targets, but giving him those of the management. This now seems to be confirmed by sources speaking to Soccer-Laduma. They look to have hinted that Mako and Monyane were not the Tunisian tactician's first choice. Not the players Nabi wanted 'It's believed that the coach was not part of interest in those two players. Apparently, the coach was looking at three right backs, in Richards Bay defender Lwandile Mabuya, Cape Town Spurs' Lungelo Bhengu and Mhleli Mabuza who had trials at the club in May. And at left back the coach's main interest was Fawaaz Basadien (Stellies) and Mohamed Hussein from Simba SC in Tanzania. But apparently the scouts and management are believed to have liked Monyane and Mako. So, we will see what will happen in the pre-season whether the coach will still go for his targets or they will settle for the two former Orlando Pirates players,' said the source. ADVERTISEMENT Should the coach or management sign players? Chiefs fans, do you think Nabi should've been backed with the players he wanted?
