Wetherspoons worker claims there's £7 food item that rivals Wagamama's
A Wetherspoons worker has shared a 'secret' dish that everyone should order when they visit the pub chain and she claims it's better than one of the UK's favourite restaurants Wetherspoons fans will be delighted to discover there's a hidden £7 meal available to order, which reportedly tastes better than the popular restaurant chain Wagamama's. The pub chain, renowned for its budget-friendly drunks, apparently also serves up affordable and delicious grub. A Wetherspoons employee has now revealed information about one particular dish that punters rarely seem to request, yet remains a personal favourite of hers. Macey Newberry took to TikTok to discuss the secret menu item with her followers, explaining: "This was my go-to." The Wetherspoons staff member could be spotted enjoying a bowl of chicken ramen, priced at just £7. The meal consists of broth, noodles, chicken and vegetables - everything you'd typically anticipate from a ramen dish. She continued: "If you were to get a ramen anywhere else in England, like a Wagamama, you'd be paying at least £11 or £12. "So, for seven quid I can hand on heart say this is better than a Wagamama." Macey claimed the Wetherspoon creation boasts "depths of flavour" and likened Wagamama's offering to "dishwater". The clip has amassed more than 200,000 views and gathered over 9,000 likes so far. Viewers took to comment on Macey's video, with people split over the food item. One individual commented: "The noodles are way too soggy I found." Another remarked: "It has no flavour! I work in Spoons so maybe it's just our pub." A third added: "I work at Wetherspoons but the food gets boring after a bit." One user expressed their apprehension, commenting: "Always wanted to try it but so scared it will taste bad, like curry/chicken potnoodles/super noodles ect. please confirm it doesn't taste like that." However, many others were in agreement with the Wetherspoons employee and had nothing but praise for the dish. A fan of the dish commented: "I love it! Way better than the Wagas chicken ramen. The Spicey one slaps though." Another chimed in: "It looks like it has a lot more flavour than wagas ones." A third added: "I've been wanted to try it for ages, you've twisted my arm I'm defo gonna have to try it now." A fourth customer shared: "Had this couple weeks ago and it slapped not gonna lie."

Love Forever: Oasis fan proposes to stunned girlfriend during Murrayfield show
Oasis's opening night at Murrayfield was a magical night for thousands, but it was even more special for two Scots who got engaged. Dwayne Yuill shocked his girlfriend, Shell Hodge, when he got down on one knee during their favourite Oasis song at the band's first comeback gig in Scotland on Friday. The moment was captured on camera, which was all part of the 38-year-old's plan. 'Obviously, we got to the venue and Shell had no idea what was going to happen, so I told one of the stewards when I was going to propose and asked if they could capture it for us,' he told STV News. Shell Hodge Dwayne Yuill and Shell Hodge during the show at Murrayfield. The couple, from Dundee, got tickets for the band's first Scottish show in over 16 years to celebrate Shell's 40th birthday, but she had no idea what else Dwayne had planned. 'I had no idea, I thought he was acting a little bit shifty, he kept touching his pocket, and I was wondering what he was doing, and I obviously know now,' Shell said. Despite the plan being executed to perfection, Dwayne said he didn't plan for how much their proposal has blown up online. Shell Hodge The couple have been together for six years. 'We were in Starbucks and our phones just started blowing up with tags, so we had a mad dash to tell our family before they saw it online,' Shell said. The pair, who share a daughter and have four children from previous relationships, said they have both always had a special connection to Oasis. Shell has been a fan from a young age, and Dwayne was introduced to the band by his late brother. Dwayne added that it felt like his brother was with him, watching down on him during the night as he geared up to pop the question. As for choosing the perfect song, Dwayne said it was the lyrics that made him propose during Slide Away. 'We've had a lot of good memories to that song, and it's one we're always singing in the car,' Shell added. Dwayne added that choosing the song meant he had to wait until Oasis decided to play it. 'I was more nervous the closer I got, I didn't have the set this so I was just waiting for it to come on, and I didn't know when it was going to be coming,' he said. 'When the song was over and the proposal was done, I felt like I could relax.' While the couple has yet to start wedding planning, they both know what the first dance song will be. 'I think people will be disappointed at this point if we don't have Slide Away as our first dance song,' Shell added. 'Bucket hats will be compulsory on the big day.'
