MINA (Saudi Arabia), June 5 (Bernama-SPA) -- The unified Saudi Arabian application, Tawakkalna, is playing a vital role in supporting pilgrims during the 1446H Hajj season, offering a range of advanced digital services to assist at every stage of the pilgrimage.
Pilgrims can easily access their Hajj permits through the app, which is integrated with the Tasreeh unified digital platform.
The app allows users to view various permits issued by government bodies, including pilgrim permit cards, Makkah entry passes, and permits for workers, volunteers, and vehicles.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Tawakkalna also provides access to the Nusuk card via the Nusuk platform, further streamlining verification processes for pilgrims.
Tawakkalna is designed to support the daily movements of pilgrims, enhancing their overall experience with integrated services and rapid responsiveness.
Developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the app was originally launched to support government efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Among its current features are real-time weather forecasts for the holy sites, Qibla direction, prayer times, access to the Al-Quran and other tools that promote a smooth and secure Hajj experience.
The app is available for download on App Store, Google Play, AppGallery, and Galaxy Store.
It forms part of Saudi Arabia's broader digital transformation strategy under Vision 2030, which prioritises smart technologies to improve services for pilgrims and Umrah performers.

Smooth traffic reported on major highways nationwide this morning as post-Aidiladha travel picks up
KUALA LUMPUR, June 8 — Traffic flow is reported to be smooth on all major highways nationwide as of 9 am today. A Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesman said traffic is smooth flowing on the North-South Expressway (PLUS), the East Coast Highway (LPT) 1 and 2 as well as all toll roads around the Klang Valley. He added that this was because many have yet to return home after the Aidiladha celebration and school holidays. A total of 30 smart lanes have been activated along the PLUS Highway today to ensure smooth traffic flow. The public can obtain the latest traffic updates via PLUSLine at 1-800-88-0000 or the LLM hotline at 03- 8738 3098/03-8738 3097 as well as via the X account @plustrafik and @llmtrafik. Meanwhile, in Kelantan, the situation at the Gua Musang-Kuala Lipis road and the Kelantan-Terengganu border is also the same despite a slight increase in the number of vehicles this morning. — Bernama

CPO Futures likely to trade with slight downside bias next week
KUALA LUMPUR: The crude palm oil (CPO) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives is expected to trade with a slight downside bias next week, amid rising output and stock levels, said a trader. Palm oil trader David Ng noted that the market is currently entering a seasonally higher production period, which typically begins in April and extends through September or October -- a period during which output typically increases, leading to a corresponding rise in stock levels. "We expect the commodity to trade between RM3,720 per tonne and RM3,950 per tonne," he told Bernama. Meanwhile, Interband Group of Companies senior palm oil trader Jim Teh expects the market to experience profit-taking, with prices likely to trade between RM3,700 per tonne and RM3,800 per tonne. "Stock-wise, the market will be closely watching the Malaysian Palm Oil Board data, which is scheduled for release on June 10," he said. In terms of demand, Teh noted that physical buying is expected from China, India, Pakistan, the Middle East, the European Union countries, and little buying from the United States. "Production-wise, the good weather conditions suggest that CPO output is likely to increase," he added. On a Friday-to-Friday basis, the spot-month June 2025 contract rose RM23 to RM3,911 per tonne, while July 2025 and August 2025 added RM39 each to RM3,930 per tonne and RM3,917 per tonne, respectively. September 2025 rose RM36 to RM3,906 per tonne, October 2025 increased RM29 to RM3,899 per tonne, and November 2025 went up RM25 to RM3,899 per tonne. The weekly trading volume advanced to 290,679 lots from 281,987 lots the previous week, while open interest edged down to 241,688 contracts from 241,994 contracts. The physical CPO price for June South gained RM30 to RM3,960 per tonne. -- BERNAMA
