The traffic was disrupted for several minutes on Sunday evening along the road connecting Gurugram's Sector 108 to the Dwarka Expressway.
Performing vehicle stunts for views is becoming increasingly popular among young people. These stunts often involve dangerous manoeuvres such as hanging out of moving vehicles or driving recklessly on public roads, which pose serious risks of accidents and injuries.
For many, such behaviour isn't just reckless; it can also be seen as a public nuisance or even harassment, potentially leading to legal consequences. A recent example unfolded in Gurugram, where a convoy of nearly 22 vehicles caused major traffic disruption while attempting such stunts.
Gurugram's 22 Vehicle Convoy
According to the Hindustan Times, citing police officials, traffic was disrupted for several minutes on Sunday evening along the road connecting Gurugram's Sector 108 to the Dwarka Expressway. The disruption was caused by a convoy of nearly two dozen vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz SLC convertible, which allegedly blocked the intersection to film social media reels.
The disturbance near the high-rises Shobha City and Experion Heartsong caused major inconvenience for commuters and residents.
In the video, two men can be seen standing on the seats of the Mercedes with the top down. On the other hand, two men were seen filming the reel, while all other members of the group celebrated from nearby vehicles, some standing on footrests and others coming out of the sunroof.
The residents claimed that the cars had illegally equipped sirens that were continuously blaring.
However, after completing the shoot, several vehicles were seen in the video making illegal U-turns and fleeing in the wrong direction.
Gurugram Police's Statement On The Viral Video
According to HT, no formal complaint has been filed against the men. Sandeep Kumar, Gurugram police's Public Relations Officer, shared that the incident came to their notice through social media platforms on Sunday night.
'The video has been forwarded to the concerned police station, and the matter is being investigated," Kumar added. 'Efforts are being made to identify the culprits using CCTV footage from the neighbourhood. All vehicles involved, including the sports car, will be seized."
In a similar incident, the Uttarakhand Police recently arrested five youths from Haryana for performing dangerous stunts in a car. The vehicle was seized, and all individuals were taken into custody.

Scorpio, Thar, Fortuner: SUVs Block Busy Gurugram Road To Shoot Reels

A convoy of nearly two dozen vehicles, including a luxury convertible and multiple SUVs, blocked a key intersection in Gurugram's Sector 108 on Sunday evening. The group brought traffic to a halt for several minutes, allegedly to shoot social media content. The incident took place near residential high-rises Shobha City and Experion Heartsong, on the stretch connecting Sector 108 to the Dwarka Expressway. Over a dozen vehicles, including a white Mercedes-Benz SLC convertible, Aston Martins, Toyota Fortuners, Mahindra Thars, Scorpios, and several hatchbacks, were involved. The scene was captured in a video later uploaded to social media. The video showed two men standing on the seats of the Mercedes-Benz convertible with the roof down, while others filmed them from nearby vehicles. Several individuals were seen leaning out of sunroofs or standing on footrests, cheering as the convoy blocked the entire road. Leading the convoy was a Mercedes-Benz SLC, seen in the video and priced at approximately Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom). Residents alleged that the vehicles were fitted with illegal sirens, which were blared throughout the stunt. The noise and obstruction reportedly brought traffic to a standstill for over seven minutes, disrupting commuters and residents trying to pass through the area. The convoy was not part of any official shoot. The caption of a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) read, "Aston Martin, sirens, and lawlessness on full display in Gurugram. 22 cars. Hooligans blocking a key road near Sector 108 for reel-making. Blared illegal hooters, disrupted traffic for over 7 minutes. Residents fuming. Not a film shoot-just another day of arrogance on wheels. Thankfully, police have booked the culprits and will seize all vehicles, including the Rs 4 crore Aston Martin." "If your content disrupts public life, it's not a reel, it's a crime," the caption added. Gurugram Police acknowledged the incident and said that the matter has been "forwarded to the concerned officer for necessary action." ‘Never Hid It': Seer Forced To Quit After Aadhaar Card Reveals Muslim Roots Before ‘Deeksha'

Last Updated: The seer said that he did not hide his religion before 'deeksha' and was "hurt" by the incident. A 22-year-old seer was forced to step down from a mutt in Karnataka's Chamarajanagar district on Sunday, over allegations that he did not disclose his religion by birth during anointment. This comes after a section of villagers objected to his role, citing his religious status as a Muslim before taking Basava Deeksha, Times of India reported. The seer had taken ' deeksha ' five years ago and was given the name 'Nijalinga Swamiji'. He joined the mutt as its new seer just over a month ago. He was, however, forced to step down after the revelation of his Muslim identity before deeksha, as some devotees alleged that he had not informed them about his religion by birth. However, the seer told TOI that everyone knew about his religion before taking deeksha, and he never kept it from them. SP BT Kavita said that no complaints were received relating to the incident. 'One of the devotees at the mutt approached my guru to send a seer to the mutt, and in keeping with the Guru's wish, I joined. I was involved in spreading 'vachana's in the villages," the Swamiji told TOI. 'An ardent follower of Basavanna's principles, I was hurt by the incident as I took ' deeksha ' to spread the 'vachana's that preach brotherhood. I am totally cut off from my pre- ' deeksha ' religion," the Swamiji said. 'I was forced to quit the mutt on the ground that I didn't disclose my pre- Basava Deeksha religion, but everyone knows about my pre- Basava Deeksha religion. I never hid it," he added. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. A bizarre and chaotic moment unfolded at the Veld Music Festival in Toronto when an unidentified man impersonated Canadian electronic music icon Deadmau5 during a live performance. The incident, which took place at Downsview Park, quickly spiralled out of control and left hundreds of attendees shocked, especially when the imposter ended up fully naked during a confrontation with security personnel. According to eyewitnesses and viral footage circulating online, the individual managed to get on stage while dressed exactly like Deadmau5, real name Joel Thomas Zimmerman, complete with the artist's signature headgear. He reportedly approached the stage mid-performance, creating confusion among fans and staff. Security quickly intervened, but the situation escalated as the impersonator grew aggressive. 'He was first seen hitting a guard up on the stage," one eyewitness reported. 'And he later ran down, only to be surrounded by more guards." View this post on Instagram A post shared by (@edm) The video shows a scuffle between the imposter and multiple security guards. As they attempted to restrain him, the man's pants came off in the tussle, exposing him to the crowd. In a matter of seconds, the impersonator was completely naked as stunned concertgoers watched. 'The guards tried to pin him down, and in the process, his pant was also seen coming off in front of hundreds of fans," the footage reveals. He was eventually subdued and dragged off stage, allowing the event to resume without further disruption. Despite the swift action by security, the incident sparked debate online, with several users questioning the authenticity of the stunt. 'Was this staged?" one user asked on X (formerly Twitter), while others criticised the lack of tighter stage security. Deadmau5, known for global hits like Ghosts 'n' Stuff and Strobe, did not comment publicly on the matter. Widely recognised for his mau5head helmet and pioneering work in progressive house and electro, the DJ has received multiple Grammy nominations and founded the influential record label Mau5trap. The imposter's identity remains unknown, and no official statement has been released by festival organisers at the time of writing.
