Homeless man forgives youths behind 'chicken bone charity' video

By: Esther Glorie Leow Text Size: The JOHOR BAHRU: A 47-year-old homeless man at the centre of the 'chicken bone charity' video said he holds no ill feelings toward the five young men involved - three appeared in the video, while another two recorded the video. In a one-minute video shared by China Press, he recalled being woken by the group before being handed a packet of rice, which he was asked to open on camera.
Advertisement He said he assumed it was a genuine act of giving and only realised it was mostly bones after opening the packet. According to him, the group later returned to apologise, and he told them he had never blamed them for what happened. Family lodges police report over false online claims

The tournament, held at the island's main field from 2 August, aimed to promote healthy living, strengthen community ties and provide a platform for emerging football talent. All winning teams were recognised for their effort, discipline and sportsmanship. Dr Ritchie emphasised the role of young people in driving community development. Two injured in Tenom road crash

The 22-year-old driver of the Proton Wira suffered a broken leg and received initial treatment from the Fire and Rescue Department before being taken to Tenom Hospital by ambulance. Advertisement The 18-year-old Toyota driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by members of the public before the arrival of rescue personnel.
