'Binge watched sirens on netflix and even though it was only 5 ep i really liked it. cannot remember the last time i was surprised by a show like this. i did not expect certain plot twists and definitely didn't think it was going to end the way it did. great performances from trio,' one user wrote on X.

Wednesday cast reveal how the Irish landscape made the Addams family 'look alive'
The Netflix hit series Wednesday swapped the hills of Romania for the greenery of Ireland for season two, and it turns out, that led to some unexpected issues. Steve Buscemi, Jenna Ortega, Joanna Lumley and producer Tim Burton were discussing what it was like to film in the Emerald Isle during a recent press conference, with the Wednesday actress sharing that something kept making the Addams family 'look alive'. A question submitted by Geek Ireland was asked during the panel, querying what was the thing that surprised them all the most about Ireland while they were here. 'And just to come to Ashford Studios, which were, I think, used for about 10 years in a series called The Vikings, if I'm right, leaving behind bits and pieces on the hillside, which is actually very good, because any artist knows that debris is better than being a white sheet. 'It's much better to work on printed or messed paper or an old used napkin than on a terrible white paper. So, suddenly they've got this derelict stuff of bits of old rampant and hills and the challenges of a new studio. 'It must have been heavenly but hard to work in Romania. And I just think that Ireland, it has a natural feeling, because there's something in Ireland which is slightly otherworldly anyway, and it's it embraced… it embraced the whole feeling of Wednesday.' The old Vikings Valhalla sets came in handy as they were even redressed and used as part of Pilgrim World (according to Ortega), with Tim confirming: 'We had the whole studio to ourselves, which was amazing, and we ended up pilfering some of those sets.'

Cork star Fiona Shaw joins Netflix's Pride and Prejudice remake
Netflix has cast two Irish actors as Lady Catherine and Mr Bingley in its upcoming adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, as it reveals the first look at the Bennet sisters with their mother. Fiona Shaw joins the cast as the formidable Lady Catherine de Bourg, aunt to Mr Darcy and patroness of Mr Collins. She will be joined by her Bad Sisters co-star Daryl McCormack as Mr Darcy's close friend Mr Bingley. Daryl McCormack will star as Mr Bingley The Bennet sisterhood will feature Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet alongside Heartstopper alumnus Rhea Norwood, as Lydia and newcomers Hollie Avery and Hopey Parish in their debut roles of Kitty and Mary. As previously announced, Lizzie Bennet will be played by Emma Corrin and Mrs Bennet by Oliva Coleman. Rufus Sewell will star as the beloved Mr Bennet. Netflix today released a first look image of the Bennet sisters with their mother, showing the cast in period costumes on set. Mrs Bennet and the Bennet sisters in Netflix's Pride and Prejudice Slow Horses star Jack Lowden, who is expecting his first child with Irish actor Saoirse Ronan, assumes the role of Mr Darcy. Louis Partridge will take on Mr Darcy's nemesis Mr Wickham, Siena Kelly is cast as Caroline Bingley, and Jamie Demetriou is the pompous Mr Collins. Also joining the cast are Sebastian Armesto and Anjana Vasanwill as Mr and Mrs Gardiner, Justin Edwards and Rosie Cavaliero as Sir William Lucas and Lady Lucas, James Dryden and Saffron Coomber as Mr and Mrs Hurst, James Northcote and Eloise Webb will be Colonel Forster and Harriet Forsterm and Isabella Sermon will be Georgiana Darcy. Production is now underway on Pride and Prejudice in the UK. The adaptation is written by Dolly Alderton, author of Everything I Know About Love, and directed by Euros Lyn ( Heartstopper).
