Report – Aging Netherlands & Italy Stars To Stay At Inter Milan This Summer

Yahoo6 days ago
Veteran defenders Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi are both set to stay at Inter Milan this summer transfer window.
This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
De Vrij joined Inter in the summer of 2018 from Lazio. Meanwhile, Acerbi as been at the Nerazzurri since 2022, also arriving from the Biancocelesti.
There is no getting around the fact that both de Vrij and Acerbi are well on the wrong side of thirty, however.
De Vrij will turn 34 over the next season. Meanwhile, Acerbi will turn 38.

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – JUNE 25: Francesco Acerbi #15 of FC Internazionale Milano walks on the field prior to the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 group E match between FC Internazionale Milano and CA River Plate at Lumen Field on June 25, 2025 in Seattle, Washington. (Photo by)
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, however, Inter have no plan to offload either de Vrij or Acerbi this summer.
It is undoubtedly true that one of Inter's priorities this summer is to lower the average squad age.
And in multiple areas of the pitch, the Nerazzurri have done just that.
However, in defense Inter are sticking with de Vrij and Acerbi.
Both of the two ex-Lazio veterans see their contracts with Inter run out at the end of next June. And there would be little chance of either sticking out beyond then.
However, for now, Inter will keep the reliable veterans on.

Wrexham open door to Liverpool wonderkid move

Liverpool are rarely short of offers for loan moves and it can be difficult to make the right choice. Of course, the player has to want to taken on the opportunity to play elsewhere for a season at a more competitive level, but the club has to make way for the player, giving them regular minutes. 🚨2025/26 LFC x adidas range🚨 LFC x adidas Shop the home range today! The stars are aligning. Koumas off to Wales? According to TeamTalk, show-stopping club Wrexham - who have been promoted three seasons in a row - are interested in a move for Lewis Koumas, a young teenage winger in Liverpool's academy. In their report, it said: "It is understood that Liverpool winger Lewis Koumas remains a target, especially with Josh Windass facing an extended absence through injury, but ambitious Wrexham are now looking to stiffen their defence." Of course, the report might have considered the young talent for a permanent move, which might well prove to be difficult to complete. But Liverpool are unwilling to sell Koumas in any case. This detail was revealed in The Athletic's deal sheet on Tuesday, when James Pearce wrote: "Koumas, the 19-year-old who has also attracted some permanent interest, is wanted by Sheffield United, Hull City, Wrexham and Preston North End." As such, the Welsh interest certainly feels plausible and potentially, Koumas could join them on loan. The temporary move would solve the Windass injury absence that appears to be a concern and the Reds could trust that the Welshman would be getting substantial minutes for a team in his homeland. All of the parties would subsequently benefit from the deal and this potential agreement appears to have sufficient legs, although we'll have to see if anything actually develops over the next two weeks. Liverpool have a lot on their plate and it might be decided that Koumas could come into the first team if the recruitment team struggle to get another forward across the line before deadline day arrives. For now, uncertainty will prevail but I'd expect to see some movement on his future in due course.

According to FCInter1908, Amrabat's representatives have reportedly offered his services to the Nerazzurri. It could be an attempt to capitalize on Inter's ongoing pursuit of a new deep-lying midfielder. Indeed, he left Fiorentina for Istanbul last summer but now wants to return to Italian football. School mom reveals rare peek into Kate Middleton's parenting and private life: "I do see her a lot..."

It's a side of the Princess of Wales we rarely get to see. Kate Middleton might be the future queen of England, but when it comes to parenting, she's just like any other mom on the sidelines. At the premiere of The Real Housewives of London, cast member Panthea Parker shared a rare glimpse into the Princess of Wales' life as a school mom, revealing that Kate is a constant presence at her children's sports games. 'I see her quite a few times because my son's school plays against her son's school,' Parker told Hello!. 'So they play rugby and football against each other so we're always at her school or my school. I do see her a lot but not to talk to, just from afar. So classy, so lovely, and she never misses any of her children's matches, so really amazing.' A hands-on royal mom Kate, 43, and Prince William are raising Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, with a focus on family life despite their packed royal schedules. Kate has previously spoken about the challenges of balancing motherhood with duty. On the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast in 2020, she admitted to feeling 'mum guilt' when she couldn't do the school run. 'Even this morning, coming to the nursery visit here – George and Charlotte were like, 'Mummy how could you possibly not be dropping us off at school this morning?'' she said with a laugh. A family that loves sports The Wales family is known to be 'sport-mad,' as royal biographer Robert Jobson has put it. From rugby and football to their annual Wimbledon outings, the family embraces both playing and spectating. Jobson noted that George and Charlotte's appearances at big sporting events show not only their parents' enthusiasm but also a way to connect with the public. With summer holidays underway, the royal kids might be off the field for now — but according to Parker, fans can count on spotting their mom cheering from the sidelines once the school season kicks back in.
