Five-time Emmy nominee Connie Britton has a case of imposter syndrome… in the literal sense.

But things are not what they seem. The mystery follows Sonny, the most beloved student at his high school, as he wakes up in the hospital after a car accident to discover that his mom — who also happens to be his high school principal — appears to have been replaced by an impostor (!). Not only has he seemingly lost his parent, but also the only person who truly knows him.
Nick Paley (Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, Broad City), an Annie Award winner and two-time Emmy nominee, serves as showrunner and executive-produces the half-hour series alongside Britton, Charlie Alderman, Drew Goddard and Sarah Esberg.
A release date for Phony has not yet been announced.

Cat Steals the Show at Owners' Wedding, Becoming the 'Absolute Star' of the Day (Exclusive)

From being carried down the aisle to donning a garter, 6-year-old cat Nala Donovan joined in on the bride and groom's wedding festivitiesNEED TO KNOW Gage and Summer Donovan incorporated their pet cat, Nala Donovan, into their New Year's Eve wedding festivities "She was the absolute star," the bride tells PEOPLE Nala was present at the ceremony, but left for the receptionA bride and groom had a purr-fect wedding thanks to their pet cat. From being carried down the aisle to wearing the bride's mother's wedding garter, "it was an obvious decision" for Summer Donovan, 24, and Gage Donovan, 25, to incorporate their 6-year-old American shorthair cat, Nala Donovan, into their nuptials. "We feel so lucky that we were able to include Nala and we know that Nala feels home wherever we are," Summer tells PEOPLE. The couple tied the knot on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, 2024, at Northern Pacific Center, in Brainerd, Minnesota. From the start, Nala was involved in their wedding festivities. "It took some coordination to include her in our special day, but our favorite people made it happen!" Summer says. "She spent the night before the wedding with the bridal party in the hotel. That morning we brought her to the venue, and she spent the morning getting ready with the ladies!" Nala dressed up for the "special" day, donning the same garter that Summer's mother wore on her wedding day. "We included her in pictures, as she is a part of the family!" Summer says. As vendors arrived, Nala happily greeted each one of them. "She was the absolute star," Summer gushes. At the ceremony, the wedding party walked down the aisle, and, of course, they couldn't leave Nala behind. The junior bridesmaid, Gage's sister Brielle, carefully carried Nala down the aisle. "It is no surprise that Nala did amazing, and was happy to be close to her parents," Summer says. While some people might be surprised to see a cat at a wedding, the Donovans' 230 friends and family members in the audience were unfazed. "Our wedding guests were not surprised to see Nala walking down the aisle," Summer shares. "They've all met her at an event, and know that we bring her everywhere. They would've been more shocked if we left her at home." She continues: "Nala has never spent a night alone, and often times travels with us! We have moved several times, and home is wherever we are together. Nala is very social and loves to visit new places including: Target, movie theaters, restaurants, grocery stores, airports, football games and backyard barbecues. Movie theaters are her favorite for the designated time to snuggle." As Gage and Summer exchanged their vows, Nala was seated watching their ceremony just like any other guest. She had been transferred by Brielle to Summer's godmother, Holly, "who is an animal lover." "Nala was very snug during the ceremony," Summer notes. Afterward, Summer's brother brought Nala back to the hotel to relax. While Nala wasn't present at the reception, she was still incorporated into the party as everyone held large cardboard cutouts of Nala's head as they danced. Nala helped Summer through "the hardest years of [her] life," so it only felt right that she was also at the best day of her life. Summer grew up with many cats in her household, so when she moved three hours away for college in Fargo, North Dakota, she admits it was "difficult" living in her dorm without a cat. As Summer struggled with her mental health, her family decided to foster cats "as a form of therapy" over one summer through Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud, Minnesota. "That led us to fostering Nala and her sister Sunny! We adopted Nala as a licensed emotional support cat, and my parents adopted Sunny!" Summer explains. "While they don't live in the same house anymore, the sisters get to have sleepovers very often." She adds: "Nala got me through the hardest years of my life, and I like to say she saved me." At the time of the wedding, Gage and Summer didn't have any other pets beside Nala. Now, she has "embraced big sister duties" as the couple have a 9-month-old English cream golden retriever named Winnie. Read the original article on People Solve the daily Crossword

Fox News' Kat Timpf praised for taking the lead on Gutfeld! in host's absence

Fans have praised Fox News contributor Kat Timpf for stepping in as the host of Gutfeld!, just days after returning to the show following a planned health-related absence. Timpf, 36, hosted the Thursday night broadcast in Greg Gutfeld's absence. Gutfeld was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where the conservative told a lengthy anecdote about his first encounter with Fallon at a bar in which both parties were 'wasted.' Leading a panel comprised of comedian Joe Machi, Western Razor co-founder David Angelo, contributor and author Kennedy, and former professional wrestler Tyrus, Timpf delivered the show's signature opening monologue comprised of hot takes and controversial opinions on the day's news. Fans of Gutfeld! applauded Timpf for taking on the hosting duties after she shared a clip of her monologue on X. 'Great job, Kat,' one person responded to her video of her segment on X. 'I taped Fallon to watch Greg on there; that show sucks. Other than the short time Greg was on it.' 'I watched it and I have to say I laughed out loud,' another tweeted of Timpf's monologue. 'Most excellent!' a third wrote, while a fourth agreed: 'You did a great job filling in as host!' Timpf returned to the late-night political comedy show Monday following a weeks-long break when she underwent surgery. She appeared first on Martha MacCallum's show before assuming her chair on Gutfeld!, where she and other contributors discussed their opinions on Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle ad campaign. Timpf also touched on the recent discovery that Sweeney registered as a Republican in Florida several months before President Donald Trump won his second term. 'Who cares?' she said. 'Lots of people are Republicans, and it shouldn't be that groundbreaking to find out that somebody, who's wealthy, especially, is a Republican.' She revealed during a July episode of Gutfeld! that she would be taking time away from the show for the latest surgery following her shocking February breast cancer diagnosis. She received the news just hours before giving birth to her first child. 'When I came back, I said I still had some surgeries to go,' she said in mid-July, referencing her return from maternity leave. 'And my first one's next week. So I'm going to be out for a couple of weeks. Even with the best-case scenario of breast cancer, [it] can involve quite a road to feeling whole again. So this is the first step in that.' 'Just so the internet can't come up with theories about where I am. That's where I am,' she added.

Fumble! Madden 26 mistake means more disrespect for Cardinals' Will Johnson

Arizona Cardinals rookie cornerback Will Johnson recently opened up in a video produced by the Cardinals, saying that he is ready to prove "I'm the player I know I am" and detailing why is he playing with a chip on his shoulder this season. That chip just might get larger once he sees his photo in the new Madden NFL 26 video game. The Cardinals defensive back's profile photo on the game when it was released wasn't him. Instead of Arizona's Will Johnson, a rookie out of Michigan, it appears to be former Pittsburgh Steelers fullback Will Johnson. Oops. Cardinals' Madden NFL 26 ratings: Trey McBride, Budda Baker lead team When is Madden 26 released? The game will be released to the public on Aug. 14, but is already available to those who ordered some special editions. EA Sports, the maker of the game, apparently doesn't know the player Cardinals rookie Will Johnson is, as discovered by Patrick Breen, an Arizona Republic photojournalist. Johnson has a 75 overall rating in the game, third among the Cardinals' defensive backs. He's expected to play a big role on the team this season after being drafted with the No. 47 overall pick in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. If Johnson has his way, everyone will soon know who he is, even Madden NFL 26.
