The 2025 NBA Draft is set to begin on Wednesday, June 25, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. In regards to the NBA Draft's relation to Michigan State, it will be a chance for Spartan Nation to see where star freshman Jase Richardson will begin his professional career.
Unfortunately for Richardson, he has been snubbed from being able to see where his professional career will begin, not being elected to watch from the green room.
According to a report from Jonathan Givony (Draft Express on X), 24 players have been selected to be inside of the green room for the NBA Draft, Richardson is not one of those players.
This comes as a surprise, with Richardson being routinely mocked as a mid to high teens, it is shocking that the Michigan State guard will be unable to be in the green room for his selection in next week's draft.

Golden State Warriors jersey history - No. 20 - Brian Shaw (1997-98)

The Golden State Warriors have had over 600 players don the more than 60 jersey numbers used by their players over the more than 75 years of existence the team has enjoyed in its rich and storied history. Founded in 1946 during the Basketball Association of America (BAA -- a precursor league of the NBA) era, the team has called home the cities of Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, and even San Diego. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Warriors Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. For this article, we begin with the 18th of 29 players who wore the No. 20 jersey for the Warriors. That player would be Golden State guard alum Brian Shaw. After ending his college career at UC Santa Barbara, Shaw was picked up with the 24th overall selection of the 1988 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics. The Oakland, California native also played abroad, for the Miami Heat, and Orlando Magic before he was traded t the Dubs in 1997. His stay with the team would span just 39 games before he'd be dealt again, this time to the Philadelphia 76ers in 1998. During his time suiting up for the Warriors, Shaw wore only jersey No. 20 and put up 6.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. All stats and data courtesy of Basketball Reference.

Brooklyn Nets jersey history No. 22 - Jim Chones (1972-73)

The Brooklyn Nets have 52 jersey numbers worn by over 600 different players over the course of their history since the franchise was founded in 1967 as a charter member of the American Basketball Association (ABA), when the team was known as the "New Jersey Americans". Since then, that league has been absorbed by the NBA with the team that would later become the New York Nets and New Jersey Nets before settling on the name by which they are known today, bringing their rich player and jersey history with them to the league of today. To commemorate the players who played for the Nets over the decades wearing those 52 different jersey numbers, Nets Wire is covering the entire history of the franchise's jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. The 23rd of those 52 different numbers is jersey No. 22, which has has had a total of 31 players wear the number in the history of the team. The seventh of those players wearing No. 22 played in the (then) New York (now, Brooklyn) Nets era, big man alum Jim Chones. After ending his college career at Marquette, Chones was picked up with the 31st overall selection of the 1973 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. The Racine, Wisconsin native had already signed with New York in the ABA the year prior, however, and played a season with that team before he was dealt to the (defunct) Carolina Cougars in 1973. During his time suiting up for the Nets, Chones wore only jersey No. 22 and put up 11.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. All stats and data courtesy of Basketball Reference.

Cowboys might have legitimate backup plan to one of league's most expensive positions

It might not be unfolding how most thought it would. It might not have been under the most ideal conditions, either. It's definitely not the player everyone thought it would be, but the Dallas Cowboys might have finally found their Plan B to the all-important left tackle position. Nate Thomas, the forgotten rookie from the 2024 NFL draft class, has seemingly come from nowhere and laid early claim to the backup LT spot. With Tyler Guyton possibly missing regular season action, the backup title probably means Week 1 starting offensive lineman. Finding a capable Plan B at LT isn't just about injury replacement on this Cowboysteam. Until proven otherwise it's also an alternative solution should Plan A never come to fruition. Guyton struggled mightily in his first year with the Cowboys. The 2024 first rounder from Oklahoma looked every bit as raw as scouts pegged him to be as a prospect. And while the potential and skillset is high, the performance has a long way to go before it can even be considered average. Though Guyton showed improvement early on in training camp, a fracture to his right knee robbed him of much needed practice time and development. He may pick up right where he left off or he might take a step back and take time to reach a modest level of play. Since there's no telling how well Guyton will be playing when he returns in September, having a solid option to fall back on is extremely important. When training camp kicked off late last month, everyone thought Asim Richards would be the guy providing insurance. Richards was steadily working his way up the depth chart and he was an improving player with a wealth of LT experience. But as things unfolded, it quickly became apparent the Cowboys had different things in mind for their offensive line. They saw Richards as a versatile swing option with OL6 capability in jumbo formations. They saw Thomas as the next man up at LT. Early returns have been understandably mixed. Thomas struggled against the LA Rams' all-star D-line in practices, but he posted a solid game against their rotational players in the first preseason game. It would be unrealistic to think he'd be a plug and play talent as a seventh rounder with no NFL experience to his name, so that itself constitutes a major victory. Not to mention, the preseason is far from over and there's plenty of development that can happen between now and the start of the regular season. Plan Bs are never ideal but they are often necessary. There are a number of scenarios that could involve Thomas playing a critical role for Dallas in both the short-term and long-term.
