During the hearing of the case, Judge Abdul Quddus questioned Ravi Mohan's side, saying, "This case is only creating negative publicity for your name. In response, the actor's side explained, "Even though he told the production company that he would return the money when he starred in his next film, they did not accept it." The production company also alleged that "Ravi Mohan said he was living in a rented house due to personal matters, but he started his production company with advance money.

The troubled marriage of Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur is back in the news. Sunjay Kapur recently passed away. A massive inheritance dispute worth Rs 30,000 crore is now the focus. An old interview of Randhir Kapoor criticising Sunjay has gone viral. Karisma may explore legal options for a share of the estate. Years after Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur's turbulent marriage and explosive divorce made headlines, the saga has resurfaced following Sunjay's sudden demise. With a massive inheritance dispute reportedly worth Rs 30,000 crore now in the spotlight, an old interview of Randhir Kapoor—where he openly criticised his daughter's former husband—has gone viral. Randhir Kapoor 's explosive interview In an old interview with Hindustan Times, he called his former son-in-law a 'third-class man,' making it clear he was never fond of him. Kapoor strongly criticised Sunjay, saying he never wanted Karisma to marry him. He accused Sunjay of mistreating her, being unfaithful, and living with another woman, adding that his reputation was widely known in Delhi. The veteran star's sharp response came soon after Sunjay accused Karisma of marrying him for his wealth. Denying the claims, Karisma's lawyer Kranti Sathe called the allegations false and added that it was up to Sunjay to prove them in court. Bitter divorce and custody disputes Meanwhile, in a petition filed by his lawyers Aman and Priya Hingorani and quoted by Mumbai Mirror, Sunjay accused Karisma of failing 'as a wife, a daughter-in-law and a mother," and further claimed she had an extramarital relationship. Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur got married in 2003 and share two children — Samaira and Kiaan. After the wedding, Karisma moved to Delhi, but returned to Mumbai with her children in 2011. The couple initially filed for divorce by mutual consent, but in November the following year, Karisma withdrew the petition, alleging that Sunjay had failed to fulfil the financial obligations outlined in their agreement. Inheritance row Following Sunjay Kapur's death in London on June 12, 2025, fresh developments have emerged regarding a reported Rs 30,000 crore inheritance dispute. A Dainik Jagran report suggested that Karisma may be exploring legal options to claim a share of her former husband's estate. Adding another twist to the ongoing estate conversation, Safira, the daughter of Sunjay's third wife, Priya Sachdev, has reportedly dropped her surname 'Chatwal' and adopted 'Kapur'. Industry observers believe the change may not just be symbolic but a strategic move, potentially aimed at strengthening her stake in the inheritance.
