Salman Khan replacing Amitabh Bachchan as host of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17? Know truth here
Kaun Banega Crorepati began in 2000, and since then, Amitabh Bachchan has been the face of the show. Except for one season, he has consistently hosted it. His powerful voice and distinctive style of asking questions are widely appreciated by the audience. Fans are emotionally attached to the show, and watching Big B on this stage is a unique experience. However, reports suggest that Bachchan may step down from the host's chair due to personal reasons, and superstar Salman Khan might replace him.
A source claimed to Bollywood Hungama portal that Salman Khan has already begun talks with the makers of the quiz show. If both parties reach an agreement, he could soon be announced as the new host of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17. The source said, 'Salman Khan is the king of the small screen, and the best face to replace Amitabh Bachchan is him, as he also has a strong connection with audiences in smaller centres. Shah Rukh Khan has also hosted KBC, and if everything goes well, Salman will be the newest to take television screens by storm.'
Now, to put end to these rumours, a close source associated with Sony TV has said that this news is completely false and baseless. Talking to India Today, a source from Sony TV clarified that there has been no discussion about any change in the show's host as of now. He said, 'It is very strange that such rumours are flying. The truth is that there is no question of removing Big B from the show.'
According to sources, preparations are underway for the promo shoot for ' KBC Season 17′ and Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in it too. The channel has also included him in the poster and promo video. The shooting of the show will begin from July and it will be telecast on television in the first week of August.

Sonali Bendre reveals Salman Khan made faces at her during Hum Saath Saath Hain shoot: 'We were fighting all the time...'
Sonali Bendre Behl, a prominent face in 1990s and early 2000s Hindi cinema, recently shared amusing anecdotes from the set of Sooraj Barjatya 's 1999 family drama, Hum Saath Saath Hain. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Bendre specifically recalled co-star making faces at her during filming, alongside other candid memories. Amusing behind-the-scenes banter with Salman Khan When shown a nostalgic photo with Salman Khan from the Hum Saath Saath Hain shoot, Sonali Bendre joked about her pose, wondering aloud if she was pouring tea or milk in the scene. The moment turned into a playful discussion about her cooking skills—specifically, her ability to make halwa. Sonali admitted she doesn't cook it herself but confidently added that she's perfectly capable of instructing someone on how it should be made, from getting the sweetness right to whether it's properly roasted. The interview took a light-hearted turn as Sonali Bendre reflected on her on-set equation with Salman Khan during Hum Saath Saath Hain. She recalled that the two often clashed playfully, with Salman frequently making faces during her close-up shots, much to her annoyance. Though initially frustrated, Sonali eventually came to understand his layered personality. Behind his tough and sometimes mischievous exterior, she discovered a softer, more genuine side to him—something that took her time to recognize but ultimately left a lasting impression. The iconic costume's weight Sonali also shared a striking memory from the set of Hum Saath Saath Hain, revealing that the golden ghagra she wore in the film weighed nearly 20 kilos due to its intricate zari work. The elaborate costume wasn't easy to handle—it even caused her skin allergies and rashes because of the artificial jewellery she had to wear. She also mentioned that the heavy outfit affected the choreography, as simply turning in it required extra beats. Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the film continues to be cherished for its portrayal of traditional Indian family values. Priyanka Chopra's voice reminded Andaaz producer Suneel Darshan of Rekha: ‘Nobody had faith in her'
After winning the Miss World title, Priyanka Chopra began her Bollywood journey with the film The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. She followed it with Andaaz, for which she was praised for her performance. Now, in an interview with India Today, Andaaz producer Suneel Darshan has revealed how Priyanka's voice reminded him of Rekha. (Also Read: Priyanka Chopra shot Fashion amid her father's cancer diagnosis, says co-star Arjan Bajwa: 'She is a very strong girl') Suneel shared that the search for the second lead required someone who could match Lara Dutta's presence. The filmmaker recalled sitting in his chamber when he received a call — an actor's secretary had arrived with a young woman he wanted to introduce to him. Following his usual practice of meeting newcomers personally, he agreed to the meeting. That day, the visitor was Prakash Jaju, the secretary of none other than Miss World, Priyanka Chopra. Suneel admitted that he wasn't particularly impressed initially. He said, 'My first response was not wow. But later, she groomed herself - evolved is the right word. Fifteen minutes into the conversation, I observed her eyes and said to myself, 'Iski aankhein kya kamaal hai, aur iski awaaz Rekha ki yaad dilati hai (She has such beautiful eyes and her voice reminds of Rekha).'' He added, 'That day I was sure - this is Rekha coming back. I had known Rekha ji earlier. But except for me, nobody else involved in the film saw that or had faith. They were more supportive of Lara and her personality. Priyanka was a different ball game. But I was very sure Priyanka Chopra was going to be a top star.' Directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by Suneel Darshan, Andaaz was a romantic musical starring Lara Dutta, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. The film revolves around Raj (Akshay), a young man who falls in love with his best friend, Kajal (Lara). However, his love remains unspoken, and Kajal ends up marrying someone else. Heartbroken, Raj moves on with life and eventually meets Jiya (Priyanka), a vibrant and independent woman who falls in love with him. Just as Raj begins to consider a future with Jiya, his past resurfaces, complicating their relationship. The film was a major box office success.
