The devout Texan is golf's most dominant player since Tiger Woods was in his prime.
But his life as a father, husband, son and brother is much more important.
The world No1 told the media: 'This is not the most important thing in my life.
'I'd much rather be a great father than I would be a great golfer. At the end of the day, that's what's more important to me."
Scheffler, 29, and Meredith met at high school in Dallas and they dated long distance throughout college.
She once said: 'At the beginning of high school I always thought he had a super humble ambiance about him, that he was just a really down-to-earth guy that doesn't take himself too seriously.
'Even when he had amazing accomplishments, that wasn't the most important thing about him.'
After high school she attended Texas A&M University as a communication and business major.

They continued dating long-distance during their university years, before Scheffler popped the big question during a hike at the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Texas.
Meredith and Scottie tied the knot in a Winter Wonderland-themed wedding in 2020.
Before the big day, Meredith wrote on her Instagram: "YES! I can't believe God gave me my best friend to spend the rest of my life with, can't wait to be your wife, Scottie!!!!'
The couple officially tied the knot on December 4, 2020, at Arlington Hall in Dallas, after dating for six years.

Lewis Capaldi reveals hilarious way he makes himself fall asleep at night

Lewis Capaldi has revealed his sleeping routine and the one bizarre thing that always sends him into a 'delightful' slumber. Lewis Capaldi has revealed his highly unconventional method of getting to sleep and it's with the help of one legendary US rapper. Speaking to Apple Music ahead of the launch of their new curated playlist series, Music That Soothes Me, the beloved Scots singer said he opts to listen to some old school rap by one particular music legend when his head touches the pillow at night. ‌ That artist is Eminem, known for his very fast paced rhymes and X-rated lyrics. The Someone You Loved singer explained: 'If I'm going to fall asleep, especially on a plane, I put on Eminem because I feel like it really puts me at ease. ‌ 'I listen to a lot of the older stuff like The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show – for some reason it lulls me into a delightful little sleep. Or I'll put on some of my own demos which also really knock me out.' ‌ Lewis, who recently made his comeback to the limelight, has opened up about his first time returning to the stage as he admitted that he thought he would never perform again, The Sun reports. The 28-year-old says he is no longer taking antidepressant Sertraline after successfully defeating his demons and getting his mental health back in check. ‌ However, Lewis said he has also learned to accept that he will always have some degree of anxiety. I'm not on antidepressants any more.' ‌ Referencing his new No1 single Survive, Lewis recently told fans during a live stream: 'It was f***ing hard to get off it. "You could say I've survived getting off Sertraline but let's not get into that. This is happy stuff. I'm trying to share less.' The Hold Me While You Wait singer made his return to music last month on Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage as the festival's surprise act. ‌ Lewis had previously stepped back from singing, cancelling all performances and taking a two year break, after his Glastonbury performance in 2023 saw him struggle so badly with his Tourette's and anxiety that the crowds had to finish his songs for him. Reflecting on his meltdown on stage in 2023 on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Lewis said: "The first time did not go well. I had what the children would refer to as a bit of a menty B. A bit of a mental breakdown on stage. Nothing too serious. "I have Tourettes so I used to tic quite a lot and I still do but I used to do this thing with my shoulder and it became really uncontrollable and I had a panic attack on stage at Glastonbury and I couldn't finish the song. "It happened a couple of times at shows and stuff but I think because this one was so publicised and had so many eyes on it, it really made me think I need to go and get this sorted, I can't keep doing this to myself." However, Lewis is now back with a bang. With a UK and worldwide tour on the way this year and a brand new No.1 single, Capaldi said that his iconic Glastonbury return was "probably the best day of my life."

Rangers transfer latest as Mikey Moore could be first of THREE wingers to join club – and why he was compared to NEYMAR

RANGERS' quest to reach the Champions League ramps up a notch this week as they face Panathinaikos again. Alongside that, the quest to bolster the squad at Ibrox continues on as well! Advertisement 6 Russell Martin is busy adding to his squad Credit: Willie Vass 6 Mikey Moore is close to joining Rangers Credit: Getty 6 SunSport broke the news of the Gers' interest in Jesurun Rak-Sakyi Credit: Getty 6 One Rangers target has been compared to NEYMAR Credit: Getty Rangers are in Athens to take on Panathinaikos in the second leg of their second qualifying round encounter. Advertisement The Gers have a 2-0 lead from the first leg thanks to Findlay Curtis and Djeidi Gassama striking a couple of crackers last week. Russell Martin will, of course, be hoping to lead his team to the next around and he'll be hoping to call upon some new faces if he gets them there. The Light Blues are in the market for wingers and they're currently chasing THREE players in that position. The Gers boss will also be keen to move players OUT of his bloated squad - and there could be movement right around the corner. SunSport's sports content editor David Friel and reporter Andy Devlin - on location in Greece - have all the latest. Advertisement MIKEY MOORE Andy Devlin It's pretty close. I think the issue Rangers had in the last 48 hours was just convincing Spurs that Ibrox was the right place for him to go to. Spurs until eight hours ago weren't entirely sure whether they wanted the young lad to go out on loan anywhere, he's so highly rated. He's only 17, there will be a lot of expectation, a lot of pressure. Major Mikey Moore Rangers loan doubts & 'strange situation' at Celtic + transfer news Go Ballistic You just look at the testimonies about him, his ability, Ange Postecolgou rates him so highly. Advertisement There's been a lot of interest from Championship clubs in him as well but it's looking like Rangers are in the box seat to secure his signature which would be on a season long loan with no option to buy because the boy has an obvious future at Tottenham, it's another exciting signing for the Ranges support. The lad himself is wanting the move to Rangers. Championship wont give him European football, Rangers will do that. He's had some appearances last season for Spurs in run to the Europa League Final, 21 in total, so not as if he hasn't played first team football. He's used to that environment. He is one that despite his age, he will be ready to come in and play a part in the Rangers team. David Friel Advertisement It looks as if it'll be Rangers, he's a really interesting player, a special talent. As Andy says, you only have to see how much Ange Postecoglou admired him. After a game in Europe, James Maddison compared him to Neymar in terms of his dribbling skills. With certain players, their development comes at different times. I think Spurs feel his development is fast tracked to the extent there's no point in him coming on for five/ten minutes here and there every other Premier League game. They want him to play meaningful football, at a good level, under scrutiny and he'll get that at Rangers. Advertisement I get the risk - it's a first loan for him, he's a young player, sometimes it's eays ot burst onto the scene and make that impact. I wouldn't expect absolute miracles from Mikey Moore immediately but he can help Rangers and Rangers can help him. Russell Martin has a track record of working with young players. I think it's a good fit. 6 Oliver Antman is another Rangers target Credit: Getty OLIVER ANTMAN David Friel Advertisement He's got an interesting background, good experience, has been playing really well in Holland. He has taken a bit of a strange route, he's had a couple of knock-backs in his career, he's gone for moves, he's a product of Nordsjaelland system - Diomande, Nygren, they're really good at developing players. He went to Groningen on loan, he's come back and ended up going to Go Ahead Eagles for just over £1million which for Go Ahead Eagles is a lot of money, at that time I think he was one of their record signings. He's really done well, good experience with the Finnish national team as well. He's a player who I think would be a shrewd one, it'd be a permanent move as well. Advertisement If Rangers can get the balance between getting these loans in they can feel benefit the team but then getting the long-term signings that you want to build your team around for the next few years and that one ticks the box. JESURUN RAK-SAKYI David Friel I think it might be one Rangers need to be a bit patient with. Crystal Palace's stance, by all accounts, is that they are probably somewhere down the line open to a loan move for him but they would rather just sell him now. If the money being talked about - £10million - I can't really see Rangers sanctioning that for Rak-Sakyi. Advertisement I don't think any of the noises coming from Rangers is that they would entertain that or even try to go to that. I wonder if it's a bit of wait and see with Rak-Sakyi. Clearly Russell Martin has been talking about how much he admires him, he clearly wants him in. I don't think this is dependent on the other wings that we've spoken about - Gassama's in the door, they want Antman, they're very close to Mikey Moore - but I think it's just another winger that Russell Martin wants. Clearly he wants options. If you look at the modern game, the front three tends to change after an hour. Advertisement You basically use six forwards in every game and Rangers have got so many games. Rak-Sakyi is one Rangers have clearly targeted but they might need to be a bit patient with how it pans out and what other interest comes in. If Palace do get the permanent bid he'll probably go elsewhere but Rangers are clearly in the conversation and all the noises are that he'd be quite keen to come to Rangers, I think he's excited about what Russell Martin is doing. I'd never, ever rule that out. I think Rangers are right in the mix but it might depend on what other clubs go. Advertisement I think Russell Martin will look at the formation he plays, you would want four strong wingers. That's before we even talk about guys like Oscar Cortes who's still there. I think he's looking at it and being quite ambitious, for me. It might even end up being two loans - for Moore and Rak-Sakyi. 6 Advertisement KIERAN DOWELL David Friel I think there's a wait and see element with Rangers being successful being in that attacking area. I think Russell Martin's been quite clever in the sense that he's looked at the squad, looked at Dowell's experience and clearly knows the player, and he's thinking 'I'm going to need him for these qualifiers at the very least.' I think he's been quite clever to say to Kieran Dowell 'let's just see how things go, do as well as you can, I'm going to give you a pivotal role for these next few weeks, I really need you.' Long term, do I think Kieran Dowell is the answer for Rangers? Advertisement No, I think the last few years have probably just damaged his reputation with the fans because it's never really worked out. He'll always start on that negative point. He would probably say he's not had that many chances, or a prolonged run in the team. He's just got so much to prove and he'd have to play so well to win the fans over that long term I don't think he's going to be the answer. In the short term, Rangers probably need that experience. Advertisement CONOR COADY It's not looking likely but I would never say never on it. We spoke about moving parts, it's probably the same with what are Leicester going to do? It goes back to wages, the fee, all sorts of stuff. I'd never say never but the longer it goes on I wonder if Rangers really are starting to look elsewhere. Have YOU got a point for Kris Boyd? Singer Justin, 44, who is due to wrap up The Forget Tomorrow World Tour on 30 July, has come under fire in recent months for what some attendees have labelled 'embarrassing' and lacklustre shows. 4 Justin Timberlake fans have been left fearing for the 'tired' star after a series of "lazy" performances on his world tour Credit: Getty Several fans have even demanded their money back. Justin has been accused of 'hardly singing' and relying too heavily on the crowd, with many branding his performances 'lazy'. After one particular show in Tbilisi, Georgia, on July 23, a wave of support also emerged on social media, with fans urging the pop icon to rest. 'I can't believe it's almost over! Going to miss you so much, but I know you are TIRED!!! So rest up good and we can do it all over again!' one person wrote. Another added: 'I saw you in Atlanta in November and you were amazing. Best concert I've been to. I think you just need a break and to recharge. You've been doing this tour for a year.' But not everyone was so forgiving. Disgruntled ticket-holders continued to vent frustration online, asking: 'Why he treating performing like a side job?!' and 'How many words did you sing?' A third asked: 'Did he sing finally?' while a fourth fumed: 'When are the audience getting paid for their performance?' One more raged: 'Imagine paying $600 to watch the crowd at a Justin Timberlake concert sing his songs.' One viral post, which racked up hundreds of thousands of likes read: 'Justin Timberlake really thought he could do the bare minimum & get away with it? Nicky Byrne shares video from Justin Timberlake "Nah. People didn't drop $500 to watch a lifeless karaoke act. No energy, no vocals, just vibes gone wrong. "The crowd walking out says it all. It's mediocre performance. It's time to stop!' It's not the first time in the tour that Justin's left his fans upset. Back in February, he caused a furore after canceling one of his gigs just moments before being due to perform. 4 He is due to wrap up The Forget Tomorrow World Tour on 30 July Credit: Getty 4 He has come under fire in recent months for 'embarrassing' and lacklustre shows Credit: Getty 4 Justin has been accused of 'hardly singing' and relying too heavily on the crowd Credit: Instagram Wrapping up his tour at Columbus, Ohio's Nationwide Arena, Justin failed to show up and canceled at the very last minute - leaving concert goers feeling sad and angry. "You guys, I'm heartbroken, I have to cancel the show tonight," Justin penned in a statement that shared the reason why he wouldn't be taking to the stage. The SexyBack hitmaker then said: "I went into soundcheck battling the flu and now it's gotten the best of me. "It kills me to disappoint you and my team who worked so hard to make this show happen. "I want to reassure you, you'll be getting refunds for your tickets. I love you all." And, last October, Justin canceled a show in Newark, New Jersey, just hours before the gig. Later in the month, the pop star pulled the plug on a further SIX shows when he was struck down with laryngitis and bronchitis. One person due to attend the N*Sync star's Ohio concert this week has shared a video on X of fans in their droves departing the venue. "Everyone leaving Nationwide Arena because Justin Timberlake cancelled the LAST tour date after already rescheduling from October. 10 minutes before the opener and after doors opened," the person wrote. Someone replied to the video with their own first hand experience, saying: "Bought almost 40 bucks in drinks tonight, was sitting in our seats, we thought the announcement was a joke. "Paid 20 dollars in parking and now 2 vacation days wasted on this." 'UNACCEPTABLE' Elsewhere online, another person addressed the cancelation in a seething message: "Canceling [because] of being sick is 100% understandable.. Canceling 10 minutes before the doors were to open is unacceptable." A second person echoed: "The show was canceled at 7:30 and the show was supposed to start at 8:00, I'm sorry if you have the flu you would've know before 1/2hour before the show starts. "There were little kids standing in line that was devastated that you canceled. "Shame on you." While on The View in May 2024, the actress opened up about how their marriage is a "work in progress" and they "try to find the balance" when Justin is on the road But Justin's Instagram fans were much more forgiving, with many quick to share sweet messages wishing him well. 'THE FLU AIN'T NO JOKE' "The last show too…. What a bummer!!!! We love you dude!!! Feel better! That flu ain't no joke," penned one. Another added: "Bless your heart!!! We know you wouldn't do this unless you're very ill. Praying for swift healing, rest up. We love you!" While a third wrote: "The flu is no joke! I know this isn't how you'd want to end this magnificent tour, and would only make this decision at that time, because you had no choice. "Rest up, be well, and thank you so much for the magic you provided for us on this tour." Following Justin's announcement, the organizer Ticketmaster provided fans and ticket holders with an update. TICKET REFUNDED "Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event," they said. "You don't need to do a thing.
