Ryan Teddler On Trump Military Parade And Protests
Ryan Tedder is gaining attention for his "terrible" take on Donald Trump's military parade and the "No Kings" protests. Yesterday, demonstrators from all over the country took to the streets to protest Donald Trump and the expensive military parade he had on the same day, which coincided with his 79th birthday. While the protests drew millions, the parade appeared to have a much lower turnout than the 200,000 people that were expected. Ryan wasn't happy to see that, and yesterday, he took to Instagram to criticize people for protesting instead of "celebrating" our troops. "I have around 20 family members & grandparents that all fought in wars from the revolutionary war (actually) thru to WWII / Korea," he wrote. "All politics & parties and righteous indignation aside it's a super bummer that instead of celebrating the 250th anniversary of the USA ARMY and all those who have fought and died on our protesting." Ryan clarified that he doesn't identify as a Democrat or Republican. "I haven't been a card carrying political member of either side in over 20 years & think at this point everything is absurd 99% of the time," he wrote. "But I'd like to say THANKYOU to all of the Army service members active and retired and those who have given their lives to protect our protest." His post quickly went viral online, with many viewers criticizing the OneRepublic singer for his "ignorant" take. "Oh gosh, this is terrible," one person wrote as another said, "I'm so disappointed." "Why is everything I hear about this man proof that he SUCKS lmaoooo," wrote a third while someone else argued that he'd definitely "picked a side." "Dude mustve missed the part where veterans got dragged away by police for protesting this parade," someone else said. "They understand what fighting and protecting this country means." Another was quick to point out, "Soldiers are currently arresting civilians on American soil, Ryan." Some also noted that the military is celebrated multiple times a year, including Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and July 4, with one user writing, "You're not going to question why this event had to happen on Trump's birthday? (Yes June 14th does also happen to be the incorporation of the US Army and this year is 250, a landmark number, but he's been trying to do this parade since his first term. It's just a lucky coincidence the dates are the same that works in his favor.) You're not grateful that people didn't try to rain on his parade (Mother Nature helped with that one) and interrupt the celebration of the military, but instead chose to peacefully gather elsewhere? Loser behavior." And someone else said Ryan's post is exactly why it's important to know the artists you're supporting: "PSA that he isn't just the lead of One Republic, but he has worked closely with so many artists to write/produce their music like Taylor Swift, Tate McRae, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato the list goes ON and ON and it's IMPOSSIBLE to list all the songs he is involved in. People like this have their hands all over the music industry and looking at the credits to see who you support matters." What do you all make of Ryan's comments? Let me know below.

Alex Soros and Huma Abedin's extravagant Long Island wedding had everything — except Anthony Weiner
Huma hitched to lefty lover Shelter Island hosted this weekend's wedding snack for Alex Soros, 39, son of leftist billionaire George Soros, and Huma Abedin, 48, ex aide to forget the age Hillary Clinton. Why Shelter Island which you need a boat to reach instead of maybe Forest Hills or Kings Highway? Because the former Mrs. George Soros owns a 4,358-square-foot waterfront house. Nothing extravagant. We don't anymore save pennies so a round figure for the place — give or take — is a half inch of millions. Saturday night's party was 80 guests. Plus two waiting ambulances. That's the routine if a former president's around. This was Clinton. The other in case Mrs. Obama let her husband out. Cars parked anyplace. The group was so far left that their cars didn't even turn right. Bodyguards also. Crème de la crème The caterer? Marie Eiffel who says in her delicious French accent: 'I don't even know anything because I was the whole night in the kitchen. I didn't know who anyone even was until one week before. Didn't even know who was honorees. I've done private dinners. But I didn't know this was a sophisticated wedding event. I said, 'What? Who?' They told me and I said, 'OK.' ' Mme. Marie is into clothes, fashion, food. As the wedding music was dying down she told me: 'I thought it's just a party. I had no clue what was happening. This was simple but sophisticated. I am just not into names and who's who.' Black tie? 'No. Like a little family style party. The 5 p.m. hors d'oeuvres were smoked salmon, caviar, shrimp, mini crackers, lamb in a blanket plus I did flowers and grass and stones. The guests were impressed. The wine was particular. I bought it 1 ½ years ago. Small winery. Only their grape — Chablis, chardonnay, pinot noir and Champagne. 'Dinner started 6:30. There was music, speeches, desserts, petit fours around 7:30 then music and a 9 p.m. ice cream parlor. 'Huma came into the kitchen with her groom to thank everyone. My head went straight down in the food.' They tip the staff? 'Yes. And the bride's sister spoke thanking everyone. So did Bill and Hillary. Main dish was branzino, salmon, crab claws, caviar, shrimp, and country style tomato salad. All arrived on time and by 9:30 everyone left.' Huma's ex-husband Anthony Weiner — former congressman who did prison time for having exposed himself to an underage girl — is hustling now to get re-elected again. Yeah. Sure. Lotsa luck. He was not invited. Me either. Shame. I was available. Alec's 'Rust'-y belt skills Another little thing. 'Rust' star Alec Baldwin in Central Park with his seven kids. The Philharmonic was philharmonicking there. Alec, friendly, talked and talked — but somehow he'd forgotten his belt. Mouth open but the pants kept falling. I haven't personally re-confirmed this but my information leads me to believe he wasn't invited either to the Soros/Huma wedding. This preacher told his congregation there were 700 different kinds of sin. Two congregants stopped after the service to enquire: 'Can we see the list? We want to make sure we aren't missing anything.' For sure only in New York, kids, only in New York.

Paris Jackson's Best Red Carpet Fashion Moments: Photos
In case you didn't know, we're obsessed with Paris Jackson's style. No matter the event, Jackson fits her unique style into it, ensuring all eyes will be on her. Whether she wants to look like the definition of ethereal or a rock god, she always understands the assignment. Along with being a talented actress and singer, the activist and fashion icon has stayed true to herself over the years. The 'Lighthouse' singer previously told LVR about her eclectic personal style, saying, 'I have had the same style since high school: a combination of Sixties, Seventies, and Nineties.' Honestly, that totally makes sense: psychedelic colors, florals, and grungy looks. In another previous interview, she talked about how makeup is a massive form of self-expression, saying how it's turned into a way to perform a simple act of self-love. 'Recently, I've learned how to cope with it all by practicing self-love and affirmations and diving deeper into my spiritual life.' She added, 'It wasn't until the last couple of years that I've started feeling really good about myself and my body, and feeling comfortable and everything. Those moments of self-love aren't 24/7, but the bad moments are fewer and further between.'
