
CBB Announces Strategic Partnership with ARRAY Innovation to Advance Digital Transformation Agenda
As part of the agreement, ARRAY Innovation will provide strategic advisory and professional services to the CBB to develop and execute key technology initiatives, drawing on its global expertise in payments technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and cloud-based solutions.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Mohamed Abdulla Abdulkarim, Executive Director of Corporate Services at the CBB, said, 'We are pleased to work with a partner whose expertise and technology solution development capabilities align with CBB's vision for regulatory innovation and growth, and our ongoing efforts in deploying and developing a robust digital ecosystem. CBB Sukuk Al Ijara oversubscribed by 259%
The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing (Ijara) Sukuk has been oversubscribed by 259%. Subscriptions worth BD 67.462 million were received for the BD 26 million issue, which carries a maturity of 182 days. The expected return on the issue, which begins on July 31 and matures on January 29, 2026, is 5.42% compared to 5.35% of the previous issue on July 1. The Sukuk Al Ijara are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This is issue No.240 (BH0004624266) of the short-term Sukuk Al Ijara series.

CBB long term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk Issue No. 1 oversubscribed by 127%
The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that the first issue of Long Term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk has been oversubscribed by 127%. The size of the issuance is 250 million Bahraini Dinars for a maturity period of 5 years starting from July 30 and maturing on July 30, 2030, at an expected profit rate of 6.00% per annum. The Ijara Murabaha Sukuk are issued by the CBB under the Domestic Sukuk Programme on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Benayat Gains Bigger Role : Workshop highlights platform's growing importance
TDT | Manama The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture has stepped up its digital transformation push by expanding the scope and visibility of 'Benayat', Bahrain's national platform for building permit services. A recent workshop brought together developers, investors, and officials to highlight how the platform supports real estate growth through smarter, faster service delivery. Organised in coordination with the Information and eGovernment Authority and the Bahrain Real Estate Development Association, the event focused on raising awareness about regulatory and technical procedures for obtaining building permits via Benayat. Digital Expansion Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs, His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, said the ministry continues to enhance user experience by adopting advanced digital systems that streamline services and speed up transactions. He described Benayat as one of the most important platforms driving improved service efficiency and quality. The workshop introduced attendees to the system's operational mechanisms and upcoming services, with a focus on improving engagement with clients, investors, and engineering offices. Sector Partnership Representatives from the Information and eGovernment Authority presented a detailed overview of Benayat's functions and services. These include permit types such as minor additions, renovation, fencing, property merging and splitting, and changes of use. Attendees were also introduced to the application tracking process and the platform's integrated interactive map of Bahrain. H.E. Eng. Aref Ahmed Hejres, Chairman of the Bahrain Real Estate Development Association, praised the ministry's role in streamlining processes and enhancing service quality. He highlighted the partnership between the ministry and the association as key to supporting and energising Bahrain's real estate and investment landscape. Integrated Platform Benayat is the unified platform for issuing building permits across all categories. It allows engineering offices and property owners to submit applications, pay fees, and review requirements through a digital map covering the entire kingdom. The system is supported by Bahrain's national geospatial database, which includes more than 300 spatial data layers serving over 30 government and private entities. This integration helps accelerate procedures, support planning, and improve service delivery while enhancing coordination among institutions to meet sustainable development goals.
