The LAF Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
As part of the security measures implemented by the military institution across various regions, a LAF unit, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, conducted a raid in Al Sharawneh – Baalbek, arresting the citizens (AA.Z.) and (Y.H.) and the Syrian national (KH.M.), who were wanted for crimes including shooting, drug trafficking, kidnapping, and theft. Weapons, ammunition, and a quantity of drugs were seized in their possession. Additionally, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested the citizen (H.H.) in Al Dam wal Farz area – Tripoli, who was wanted for shooting. Weapons and ammunition were also seized in his possession.
The seized items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.

According to BBC Sources, at least one out of three meetings with Hassan was held at the U.S. embassy in Beirut. Sources close to Hassan told the BBC that while in Iran, he received a phone call and was asked to come to Lebanon to meet with U.S. officials. It is believed that he was given assurances that he would not be detained. Hassan had fled to Iran after Assad's ouster. Tice, who has had his work published by The Washington Post, McClatchy newspapers and others, disappeared at a checkpoint in a contested area west of Damascus as the Syrian civil war intensified. A video released weeks after Tice went missing showed him blindfolded and held by armed men and saying, "Oh, Jesus." He has not been heard from since. Syria has publicly denied that it was holding him. When Syrian prisons were emptied after the fall of Assad in December 2024, there was no sign of Tice.

Arrest of Individuals for Committing Various Crimes, Including Shooting and Smuggling
Saturday, 14 June 2025 The LAF Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement: As part of the security measures implemented by the military institution across various regions, a LAF unit, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, raided the residences of wanted individuals in the Hoch Al Omara – Zahle, arresting the citizens ( and (F.J.), who were wanted for shooting. Additionally, LAF units arrested three individuals as follows: • Citizen ( was arrested in Wadi Al Deb – Arsal for smuggling, and a quantity of drugs was found in his possession. • Citizen ( was arrested in Masnaa border area for smuggling gasoline into Syrian territory. • Syrian national (M.M.) was arrested in Al Qaa Projects – Baalbek for monitoring and filming a LAF patrol. The seized items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.
